Please lift a special someone (hidden for privacy reasons) to the throne of God in the name of Jesus.
This person is said to be a born-again Christian, but he distanced himself from God due to fornication and therefore married an adulterous woman.
Let us pray in Jesus name that this person accepts God's will regarding their broken relationship, and understands that, as a Christian, they cannot be unequally yoked, but must marry someone who is also a Christian.

Let's pray based on these verses:
Hosea 2:19-23
[19] “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy;
[20] I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.
[21] “It shall come to pass in that day That I will answer,” says the Lord; “I will answer the heavens, And they shall answer the earth.

Please continue to pray in Jesus' name that this brother drives the adulterous and godless woman out of his house/flat. Do not persecute those who pray for him and encourage him to follow God. To God be the glory who is Holy forever.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother who has strayed from the path of righteousness. The Word of God is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). This brother, though born again, has allowed sin to entangle him, leading him into fornication and an unequally yoked marriage. We must not shy away from the truth, this union does not honor God, for Scripture warns, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14).

We stand in agreement with the Word, praying that this brother’s heart would be broken over his sin, not in despair, but in godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). The Lord is merciful and just, and His desire is for restoration, as Hosea 2:19-23 so beautifully declares. We cry out for this brother to be betrothed to the Lord in righteousness, justice, lovingkindness, and mercy. May he turn from this adulterous union and drive out the ungodly influence from his home, as the Lord commands: "Do not bring a detestable thing into your house, lest you be destroyed like it. Utterly abhor it, and utterly detest it, for it is a cursed thing" (Deuteronomy 7:26). This is not persecution, it is obedience to God’s holy standard.

We rebuke the spirit of deception that has convinced him this relationship is acceptable, for the Lord says, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). There is no gray area here, this brother must choose between walking in the light or remaining in darkness. We pray he would have the courage to obey, even if it means temporary hardship, for the Lord’s promises are sure: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Father, we intercede for this brother, asking that You would break the chains of sin in his life. Soften his heart to receive Your correction and give him the strength to walk away from this ungodly union. Surround him with godly counsel and believers who will encourage him in righteousness. Let him not be deceived by the enemy’s lies, but let him stand firm in the truth of Your Word. We pray he would seek a wife who fears You, one who will help him grow in faith and holiness, as Proverbs 18:22 declares, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord."

Lord, we ask that You would restore this brother fully to You. Let him experience the depth of Your love and the power of Your forgiveness. May he walk in the freedom that comes from obedience, and may his life bring glory to Your name. We declare over him the promise of Hosea 2:23: "I will sow her for Myself in the earth, and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy; then I will say to those who were not My people, ‘You are My people!’ And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’" Let this be his testimony, restored, redeemed, and walking in Your will.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. Without Him, there is no forgiveness, no restoration, and no hope. But in Him, all things are made new. May this brother surrender fully to Jesus, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). To You, O God, be all the glory, honor, and praise forever. Amen.

Thank you for bringing this brother before the Lord with such care and persistence. We hear your concern for his walk with Jesus and your desire to see him grounded again in God's will for his life.

We join you in praying for his faith to be strengthened and steadied. Turning back to God is not just feeling sorry for a season, it is a change of direction that takes time, honesty before God, and the support of others who can walk closely with him. Healing and restoration are usually gradual, and having trusted, godly accountability around him makes a real difference as he seeks to follow Christ faithfully.

If you know him personally, one simple next step is to keep lifting him in prayer while also encouraging him, when he is open, toward a mature pastor or mentor he trusts who can listen and guide him in person. If you do not have direct contact, your steady intercession itself is a meaningful way to love him.

Father, we lift this brother to You in Jesus' name. Draw him close to Yourself, renew his faith, and give him clarity and courage to seek Your will and walk in Your ways. Surround him with grace and truth, and with people who will help him follow You well. Guard all involved and lead each heart toward Your mercy and healing. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we join with you in seeking His holy will in this matter.

We do not ask God to bless fornication or adultery, for these things are sin in His sight, and we do not ask Him to bless any union that is unequally yoked or formed outside His ordinance. The Scripture is plain that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the bed and the dwelling together belong within that covenant alone. What is broken and unholy cannot be made whole except by repentance and the washing of the blood of Christ.

You have quoted Hosea, and there we see the heart of God. I will betroth thee unto me for ever, in righteousness and in justice, in lovingkindness and in mercy, in faithfulness, and thou shalt know the Lord. This is the betrothal which God Himself works. It is not of the flesh, but of grace. When a soul has wandered through fornication and has distanced himself from God, the only restoration that will stand is that which God betroths in righteousness.

We pray for this brother, hidden for privacy but known to God, that the Lord would grant him that true repentance which gives God glory. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature, a sorrow that does not glorify God. But the repentance which is the work of the Spirit is a holy, healthy, heavenly repentance, a repentance that makes a man weep and abhor his past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and makes him avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for him. Such repentance looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only, it yields works meet for repentance, and it lasts, for repentance lives as long as faith lives. We pray that God would grant this to him, for Christ is exalted on high to give both repentance and remission of sins, and where there is true repentance there is full and free forgiveness.

We pray also that he may accept the will of God concerning this broken relationship and understand with a sober mind what the Word says, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. The yoke of Christ is easy, but the yoke of an unholy alliance is heavy and becomes at last an iron yoke of remorse. We pray that he may have unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and in the Father's holy plan for his life, not seeking his own way but submitting to the Lord's ordering of his house and his heart.

We do not pray that God would drive any man as a slave is driven with the whip. Cain was driven as a fugitive, but the goodness of God leads to repentance. It is the goodness of God, His longsuffering, His daily mercies of grain and wine and oil, His kindness in not cutting off the sinner, that draws the heart to holy sorrow and to forsaking of sin. So we pray that the goodness of God may lead this brother to repentance, that he may forsake every unclean and godless entanglement, that he may purge his dwelling and his life from that which defiles, and walk in chastity and holiness before God. If he has taken an adulterous and unbelieving woman into his house, we pray that he may be delivered from that snare and be made to walk in a path that is pure and according to the Word, whether by the repentance and conversion of that soul, or by a godly and lawful separation from sin, as God in His wisdom shall direct. Our desire is not for strife but for holiness, that his house may be ordered under the lordship of Christ.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will keep those who intercede for him from all persecution and hardness of heart, and that He will give them boldness to speak the truth in love, and patience to wait upon Him who answers the heavens and the heavens answer the earth.

May the Lord sow this brother for Himself, and have mercy upon him, and say unto him, Thou art my people, and may he from a broken spirit answer, Thou art my God. To God alone, who is holy for ever, be all glory in this restoration. Amen.

Your prayer has been received and we join you in bringing this brother before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ.

We hear your burden for one who is called a born again Christian yet has wandered far through sexual sin and is now bound in a relationship that does not honor God. Scripture is clear that sexual union belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and that both fornication and adultery defile the soul because they are sins against God Himself, not only against people. As it has been taught, when a person who is bound to another or who is bound to Christ gives himself to another, he insults the One who honored him, and he does so thinking God does not see. Fornication also opens the door to further unfaithfulness, for he who does not learn to restrain desire before marriage will not easily learn fidelity within it.

For this reason we do not ask God to bless a union that is built on fornication, adultery, or being unequally yoked with one who does not know Christ. To do so would be to ask God to contradict His own righteousness. Instead we pray for what is holy and good.

We pray according to the promise you cited in Hosea, that God in His mercy says, I will betroth you to Me forever in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy, and in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord. We ask that this brother would hear that promise and return to his true Betrothed, the Lord Himself, who has mercy on those who had not obtained mercy and calls those who were not His people to become His people. We pray that he would accept God's will for his broken relationship, that he would see with clarity that a Christian is not to be unequally yoked, and that if he is to marry it must be in the Lord, to one who is also in Christ, chaste and faithful, a help toward a disciplined life.

We pray also for true repentance. Tears alone are not repentance, as Esau sought the blessing with tears yet had no real change of heart and afterward still plotted evil. We pray that this brother would not only feel sorrow but would wash his heart from wickedness, turn from every defilement, and be renewed in a way that bears fruit. Such repentance is not impossible, for God renews those who come to Him with a broken and obedient heart, though He does not renew those who would continue to crucify the Son afresh without turning.

Therefore we pray in Jesus name that God would grant this brother unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and in the Father's holy plan for his life. We pray that he would separate himself from sexual sin and from living together outside of marriage, not in harshness or hatred toward the woman, for she too is made in God's image and needs His mercy and salvation, but in firm and loving obedience to God, seeking peace where possible and holiness above all. We pray that he would be surrounded by wise counsel in the church, and that those who pray for him and encourage him to follow God would not be persecuted but heard, for correction spoken in love is for his good.

We will continue to pray with you that God would be glorified, that this brother would be restored to fellowship with Christ, cleansed and kept in righteousness, and that his future steps would be ordered by the Lord in purity and truth. Amen. To God be the glory, who is holy forever.

Scripture is clear that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works, and not by anything we add to Him. At the same time, a living faith is never empty. To say we have faith while our life shows no change is not the kind of faith that saves. True faith will show itself in what we do, just as Abraham's trust in God was shown when he obeyed God. John the Baptist called for fruit that demonstrates repentance, and James reminds us that faith without works is dead, because it has no life in it. If a man says he is born again but continues to live in fornication and walks away from the Lord, that claim is to be examined seriously, for a genuine encounter with Christ produces a changed life.

You have rightly noted the danger of being unequally yoked together with an unbeliever. The Word asks what fellowship righteousness has with unrighteousness, or what communion light has with darkness. This is not only about marriage, but it is especially clear there. When a believer is yoked to an unbeliever, the yoke is always unequal. The two do not live by the same standard or the same ethic. What would trouble the conscience of a believer may not trouble the unbeliever at all, and that tension pulls the believer away from the Lord. Many believe their situation is the exception, that love will overcome the difference or that the other person will change, yet the counsel of Scripture remains. We are not to enter knowingly into that unequal union.

The body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. Fornication and adultery are not casual matters. Every other sin is outside the body, but he who commits fornication sins against his own body, using another person for selfish gratification rather than honoring God. Those who take pleasure in such things, even by watching and approving them, stand under the same judgment as those who do them. God calls His people to flee these sins and to walk in purity, because our bodies are His temple.

If this brother has entered into a marriage covenant, we must also remember what God teaches about marriage. Marriage is a lifelong covenant before God between one man and one woman, and sex and living together belong within it. The command not to be unequally yoked is a warning before entering such a covenant, not a command to tear apart a covenant already made. If he is already married, his vow before God remains. The New Testament teaches that if an unbelieving spouse is willing to remain, the believer is not to send her away, but to live faithfully and let his life be a witness, seeking wise and godly counsel in the local church and walking in obedience. What he needs most is not simply a change of circumstances, but a deep repentance and a return to the Lord Himself.

That is where the promise of Hosea speaks so beautifully. The Lord says, I will betroth you to Me forever in righteousness and justice, in lovingkindness and mercy, in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord. He promises to have mercy on those who had not obtained mercy, and to say to those who were not His people, You are My people, and they shall say, You are my God. This is the hope for every wandering heart. God does not merely forgive, He draws us into a faithful, everlasting relationship with Himself, and from that relationship all other relationships are to be ordered.

So let us pray that God would grant this man genuine repentance, that his faith would be proved real and living, producing obedience and purity. Pray that he would stop justifying sin, that he would turn from fornication and adultery, that he would know the Lord again and find his hope in Jesus Christ alone. Pray that he would have unwavering trust in the Father's holy plan for his life, and that he would accept God's will with a submissive heart, choosing to walk in righteousness, justice, lovingkindness and faithfulness. Pray that he would no longer seek to be yoked with darkness, but would walk in the light, and if he is bound by a marriage vow, that he would honor that vow before God while pursuing holiness and seeking pastoral counsel rather than acting in anger or haste.

We also pray for you who intercede, that you would not be discouraged when others oppose your prayers. Continue to lift him up with love and truth, not persecuting but patiently pointing to Christ, trusting that God answers from heaven and brings forth fruit in His time.

May the Lord be glorified as He restores, purifies hearts by faith, and leads this brother to know Him and to walk in His ways through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
