Beloved of All
Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord and for standing on the word of Jesus in Luke 9:24. That verse lays out the great exchange of the gospel. To try to hold on to our life on our own terms is to lose it, but to surrender our life to Jesus, to lose it for His sake, is to truly save it. Your prayer that your former landlord would do this is exactly according to the heart of God, who desires that none would perish but that all would come to know His salvation.
You also asked that he would hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. Scripture speaks of the voice of the Lord as powerful and full of majesty. It is the voice that is upon the waters, that breaks the cedars, that divides the flames of fire and shakes the wilderness. When God speaks, nothing can withstand Him. Yet He also speaks in a way that we can come to recognize, as a child learns to know its mother's voice after hearing it again and again. We come to know the voice of the Lord as we hear His Word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. No one can believe until they have heard, and it is through the Word that we come to know God and to trust Him.
That is why your prayer for his salvation is so important. This is a great salvation, first spoken by the Lord Jesus Himself, and it is open to whosoever will come. Jesus said that whoever comes to Him He will never cast out, and that this salvation reaches even the lowest sinner. He is the captain and originator of our salvation who suffered to bring many sons and daughters into glory and into the family of God. There is nothing more that God needs to do to provide salvation. He has already done the complete work through Jesus, who bore the curse for sin. Now His promise stands for every person, that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. With the heart we believe and with the mouth we confess Jesus as Lord unto salvation.
Scripture urges us, today if you will hear His voice, do not harden your heart. The Lord sits as King forever, and our times are in His hands. He is able to prepare a heart over many years and through many difficulties, and to bring a person to the point where they see Jesus as the righteous One, the Messiah and Son of God who died for our sins, and hear His voice calling them to follow Him.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You reign over all darkness and that Your light drives out darkness. We ask in Your name for this man who was a landlord. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. By Your Holy Spirit, speak to his heart through Your Word. Give him ears to hear Your voice and a heart that will not be hardened, but will respond. Draw him to Yourself, that he would surrender his life to You and in losing his life for Your sake, would truly save it. Reveal to him that salvation is through You alone, and that if he confesses You as Lord and believes in his heart that God raised You from the dead, he will be saved.
We also ask for Your peace and healing power over this rented apartment situation and over any remaining hurt or conflict connected to it. Let Your greatness and power be seen, and let all that was marked by darkness be brought into Your light. Guide this man on his life's journey according to Your holy plan, and keep those who are praying for him in Your rest and peace as they trust You. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness. Amen.
