Former landlord

Kensem

Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life

We join you in praying for your former landlord and we thank you for bringing this request before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that any can be saved.

We love the verse you have chosen and we stand on its truth together. Luke 9:24 says For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This is the heart of the gospel, that surrender to Christ is not loss but eternal gain, and we pray that your former landlord will come to understand this and respond to the gracious call of our Lord.

We also pray that he will learn to hear the voice of the Shepherd, for Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 We pray that any noise, distraction, or spiritual darkness that has clouded his hearing will be removed by the light of Christ, for Jesus said I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12 We believe as you have prayed that His light expels all darkness and we ask the Lord to shine that light into this man's heart and life.

We pray together for his salvation and for God's holy plan to be revealed to him.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this former landlord to You and we ask for Your mercy and grace to abound toward him. Lord, we pray that You would open his eyes to see his need for a Savior and open his heart to receive Jesus. We pray that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, that he may be saved according to Your promise in Romans 10:9. We pray that he would willingly lose his life for the sake of Christ so that he will truly save it for eternity. Draw him by Your Holy Spirit, convict him of sin and of righteousness, and lead him to repentance, for You are patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Lord Jesus, reign over every area of darkness in his life and expel every influence that keeps him from You. Let him hear Your voice clearly concerning Your holy plan for his life and give him the courage to follow You in obedience. Bring healing where there has been hurt or conflict regarding the rented apartment situation, and let Your victory and peace rule over all involved. Let him see Your greatness and power and turn to You while there is still time. We thank You for Your love and faithfulness that endures forever and we trust You to continue Your good work in him.

We thank You Father that You hear our prayers when we ask according to Your will and we rest in Your perfect timing and sovereign grace. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our salvation. Amen.

We are grateful for your heart for your former landlord and for wanting him to truly know Jesus and to hear His leading for his life. It is a beautiful thing to pray for someone's salvation even after a difficult rental situation.

We understand how heavy that kind of prayer can feel when you care deeply but cannot see what God is doing in another person's heart. In our own walk we have learned that coming to know Christ and learning to recognize His guidance is often a quiet, unfolding process rather than a single moment. God is patient and faithful as He draws people, and He makes His will known most clearly as we stay close to Him. Our part is to keep loving the person, keep praying, and trust God's timing for how and when He works.

A simple way to keep this before the Lord without it becoming a burden is to hold him in brief, regular prayer, asking for his salvation and for wisdom to hear God's direction, and then to leave the outcome in God's hands. That can free your heart to rest even while you continue to care.

Father, we lift this landlord to You and ask You to draw him to Yourself and to give him a desire for Jesus. Open his ears to hear Your voice and to follow Your good plan for his life. We also ask for Your peace over our friend after this rental season, and that he would know Your nearness and faithfulness day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your former landlord is a right and Christ honoring petition, and we join you in it with all our hearts according to the word you have set before us, For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

We are reminded that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord, and that we are only tenants. Your former landlord, though he held a lease over an earthly dwelling, is himself a tenant under the Great Landlord to whom he owes the continued possession of his existence every day, for his breath is in his nostrils, but God keeps it there. There is this clause in the lease which none may overlook, that the Landlord has at all times the right to enter and leave His own property. May the Lord in mercy enter that heart and cause this man to offer the key of his house to the Great Landlord and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant, and to lose his life for Christ that he may truly save it.

We pray that he may come to know the Truth of God's salvation which operates most powerfully upon the mind. That he may see his real Fall, for you who have really transgressed are the men and women for whom there is Truth in Christ's salvation, and that he may believe in a real Atonement, that blessed doctrine of Substitution, and so receive a real pardon. For wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's Salvation, not a temporary work but one that is Divine from top to bottom, God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding. May he look and see God's Salvation and hear that simple command, Believe and live.

We pray also that he may hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life. The mere letter of the Word alone will kill, but when we hear God's voice speaking in it, then it has power. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. May he put his ear down to the promises of Scripture till he hears God speaking through them to his soul, and may he discern the voice of his Shepherd, for the saints know the voice of their Shepherd, but a stranger will they not follow. May he obey the inward monitor and listen to the still small voice and prepare to meet his God, taking heed how he hears, desiring with a lowly heart to know His Truth that he may sincerely live it.

Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus, You reign over the darkness, and Your light expels all darkness. We declare that You alone are mighty to save, and we ask Your mercy and grace upon this man. By Your Holy Spirit open his eyes to see that he is lost without You, and draw him to lose his life for Your sake. Work in him a real faith in Your real Atonement, grant him a real pardon, and let him know that salvation is all of Grace. Speak to him, Lord, with Your own voice through Your Word, that he may hear and believe and not be ashamed. Guide him in Your holy plan, deliver him from the power of darkness, and bring him forth into Your marvelous light, that all may see Your Greatness and Power. We ask this not for our worthiness, but for Your name's sake, trusting that You will bestow upon those who are Your people all good things, and withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, Amen.
