Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the former landlord on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.

We join with you in lifting up your former landlord before the throne of grace and we are encouraged by your heart to see him come to salvation in Jesus Christ.

You have chosen a powerful verse and we stand on it with you, for Luke 9:24 says For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it. This is the very heart of the gospel, that surrender to Jesus is not loss but eternal gain. We also cling to the promise in 2 Peter 3:9 that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, and to Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We agree with your declaration that Jesus reigns over all darkness and that His light expels the darkness, for Jesus said in John 8:12 I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. We pray that this light will shine into your former landlord's heart and that any influence of unclean spirits or darkness will be broken by the mighty power of Jesus.

We also pray as you asked that he will learn to hear God's voice and follow His holy plan, for Jesus said in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. Only when a person is born again and belongs to Christ can he truly hear and follow, and Jesus also said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for Your love and faithfulness. We lift up this former landlord to You and ask for Your mercy and grace upon his life. We ask that You soften his heart and open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, that he would lose his life for Jesus sake and thereby save it for eternity. Draw him by Your Holy Spirit to repentance and faith, that he would confess Jesus as Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead. Remove any blindness and break every chain of darkness that holds him, and let Your light fill him. Heal any wounds from this rented apartment situation and bring Your victory and peace over all that has happened. Give him ears to hear Your voice, a heart to follow You, and reveal Your holy plan and purpose for his life, that he may walk in Your will and bring glory to Your greatness and power. We trust that no one can withstand Your mighty power and we thank You that You are able to save to the uttermost. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We join you in bringing this former landlord before the mercy seat, pleading the word of our Lord in Luke 9:24, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

What a solemn truth is here. Every man is as a tenant in a house not his own, and the Great Landlord may serve an ejection notice when He wills, for our breath and being are His gifts. The word comes to each soul, Set thine house in order, for thou shalt die and not live. Happy is that man who hears the still small voice and prepares to meet his God while yet there is time and space for repentance.

We pray that the Lord Himself will effectually call this man by His own voice. When the Shepherd calls His own sheep by name, they know His voice and follow Him. Though a man may stop his ears against the gospel, when Christ says, They shall hear my voice, that shall is backed by omnipotence. We ask that the Lord would open his ears to hear, and his heart to understand, that salvation is of the Lord from first to last, Divine from top to bottom, and is to be found only in looking unto Jesus.

Our prayer together is this. O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou alone art the Saviour of sinners, and beside Thee there is none else. Look in mercy upon this former landlord. Convict him of sin and show him his need of a real Saviour for real sin. Grant him repentance and faith, that he may lose his life for Thy sake and so save it. Cause him to look unto Thee and be saved, for a look does not require a moment and Thou hast said, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. Let him hear Thy voice and know Thy holy plan for his life, which is to believe on Thee and live for God. Expel all darkness by Thy light, and let Thy power be seen in his conversion, that he may go from counting his own life dear to committing all to Thee by faith and prayer. It is a good and faithful thing to pray for the salvation of another, and your request according to Luke 9:24 is right and pleasing to God. Our Lord said, whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Him will save it. He spoke this to show that there are two kinds of salvation and two kinds of destruction, and the difference between them is as great as the difference between destruction and salvation itself. As He also asked, what is a man profited if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul. To cling to this life and its possessions and honor is to lose all, but to surrender our life to Christ is to truly save it.

We join you in prayer for your former landlord in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation comes.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You reign over all darkness and Your light expels it. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon this man. Grant him repentance and faith, that he would confess with his mouth that You are Lord and believe in his heart that God raised You from the dead, for this is the short word of faith by which we are saved and made righteous. Help him to hear Your voice, to turn from seeking to save his own life, and to lose his life for Your sake, so that he may truly save it. Lead him into Your holy plan for his life, guide his journey, and reveal to him Your greatness and power, that he may know You and walk in Your way. It is a good and faithful thing to pray for your former landlord in this way, and we join you in bringing him before the Lord.

Jesus said in Luke 9:24 that whoever tries to hold onto his life will lose it, but whoever gives up his life for His sake will save it. That is the heart of the gospel. To cling to our own way, our own control and our own self, leads to loss. To surrender our life to Jesus as Lord leads to true life, both now and forever.

Scripture makes clear how that surrender happens. Salvation is not something we earn or add to by our own works. It is the gift of God's grace through the finished work of Jesus Christ. The Bible says if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. With the heart we believe and with the mouth we confess unto salvation. That salvation is very near to every person, as close as his own mouth and heart, no matter how far he may seem to be. To confess Him now, in this life, is unto salvation and eternal life. To wait until the day when every knee will bow will be too late, for then that confession will only be an acknowledgment of what was rejected.

For that reason the Scripture urges, now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared, and it is open to whosoever will come. Jesus said whoever comes to Him He will not cast out, and this great salvation reaches even the lowest sinner who will turn to Him. But the Bible also warns how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation. To go past God's offer, to keep putting it off, is to risk going beyond the appointed time. That is why we should not delay in receiving what God has provided.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this former landlord to You. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. By Your Holy Spirit, open his eyes to see that he cannot save himself and that salvation is only through Your Son. Help him to hear Your voice and to understand Your holy plan for his life. Grant him repentance and faith to confess Jesus as Lord and to believe that You raised Him from the dead, so that he would lose his life for Christ's sake and truly save it. Draw him while today is still called today, that he would not neglect Your great offer but receive eternal life as a gift. Let Your light shine into any darkness and bring him from darkness into the kingdom of Your Son.

We also pray for you as you trust the Lord with this rented apartment situation and what has followed. May the Lord give you peace as you rest in Him as your rock and your salvation and your refuge. May you continue to walk before Him faithfully, living out the salvation He has already given you by His grace, with reverence and trust.
