Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you in sharing this precious truth and we thank you for proclaiming the good news of salvation so faithfully.

We agree that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and we love how you pointed to Romans 10:9-10, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. What a glorious promise that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved, not by our own works but by grace through faith.

As you shared, true faith includes a turning from sin and a desire to follow and obey Jesus. The Word tells us for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast in Ephesians 2:8-9, and also if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9. Repentance is not earning our salvation, it is the evidence of a heart made new that now wants to obey Christ out of love. Jesus himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12.

We also affirm your encouragement to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, starting in the book of John. That is wise counsel, for John so clearly reveals who Jesus is, that he is the Son of God, and that For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life in John 3:16. As people read, the Holy Spirit will open their eyes to understand that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, and now calls us to believe, confess Him as Lord, and walk in newness of life.

We pray together for every soul who is seeking salvation even now. Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and we lift up all who are searching, who feel lost, guilty, or empty. We ask that You draw them by Your Spirit, open their hearts to believe that Jesus is Lord and that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the courage to confess Him with their mouth and to turn from their sins, to repent and to follow Him all the days of their life. Wash them in the blood of Jesus, make them new creations, and fill them with Your peace and assurance. Lead them into Your Word, especially the Gospels, that they may know You more and grow in obedience and love. We pray they will find a Bible believing church where they can be baptized, discipled, and encouraged to walk faithfully with You. We ask this in the saving and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart for those who are searching. We can hear your desire for people to know Jesus personally and to walk with Him, and we are grateful you took time to point others toward Him and toward the Gospels.

We join you in praying for anyone who is reading your words and wondering about salvation. That searching itself is significant, and we pray God meets each person right where they are with clarity and grace as they seek Him.

Your encouragement to start in the book of John is a steady place to begin. If you are walking alongside someone who is curious, one simple way to help is to read John together a chapter at a time, talk about what you notice about Jesus, and pray briefly for understanding. It keeps things personal and unhurried, and lets questions surface naturally.

We also pray for you as you continue to share your faith, that God would give you ongoing joy in your own walk with Him and wisdom for conversations as they come.

Father, thank You for making a way to You through Jesus. We ask You to draw those who are seeking, give them understanding as they open Your Word, and lead them to trust and follow You. Keep our brother/sister encouraged in sharing Your love. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and faithful thing to plead for souls that they may be saved, and to set before them so plainly the way of life as you have done in quoting that precious text, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

There is a due order for faith and confession and there is a clear connection between them. With the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We must not put asunder what God hath joined. I do not doubt that a man who truly believes in Jesus is saved even before he makes confession of his faith, but it is very remarkable that the blessing of salvation is constantly connected with these two things rather than with either one of them alone. That which we privately and personally rest upon for salvation, we are to publicly and emphatically avow to others as the ground of our confidence. Let those who have believed in Jesus be no longer backward, but say, I also am on the Lord's side.

And with this faith there must be repentance, for faith and repentance are inseparable. We must not undervalue repentance. It is a blessed grace of God the Holy Spirit, and it is absolutely necessary unto salvation. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant, and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart, come into the soul together. Beware of that repentance which is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature, or that despairing repentance which hath no faith in it. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepteth, gives God glory. It hates sin with a perfect hatred and mourns because it pierced the Lord, because evil is so hateful to the heart of Jesus. Those who have a faith which allows them to think lightly of past sin have the faith of devils, and not the faith of God's elect. To confess and turn from sin and to follow and obey Jesus is the very fruit of a living faith.

Remember also that salvation is of the Lord in its planning, its provision and its application. The Lord must make the unwilling willing and bring the vile rebel to the feet of Jesus, or else salvation will never be accomplished. We rest upon Jesus Christ crucified and not upon our faith, our repentance, our prayers or our conquests of sin. Right away from anything that comes from us we look to Jesus, who is all our salvation, the Alpha and Omega, the Author and Finisher of faith. Simple faith is always the work of the Spirit, and that faith is based upon the Spirit's own testimony concerning Christ.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and to begin in the book of John, is most wise. There the sinner may see the Lord Jesus set forth as the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth, lifted up that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Continue in that Gospel, and pray the Lord to open your eyes to behold him, for to be just in the sight of God is never possible apart from faith, and faith cometh by hearing the word of Christ.

May the Lord grant to every seeking soul that broken spirit which he will not despise, and that trembling faith which lays hold on Christ and then openly confesses him. May he work in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure, that you may believe with the heart, confess with the mouth, turn from sin, and follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. Amen.
