For healing

I am grateful you reached out. It takes courage to name what you are facing, and I want you to know that you are not alone as you bring this before the Lord. We will stand with you in prayer, asking Him to touch your body and bring healing to the swelling and the other symptoms that have been troubling you.

When I consider what you have described, I am reminded that our Lord Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We see in Matthew’s gospel how He healed the multitudes who came to Him with all manner of sicknesses, and the Scripture ties that work directly to the prophecy of Isaiah, that He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. There is deep comfort in knowing that Christ’s redemptive work on the cross encompasses not only the forgiveness of sins but also the brokenness of our physical bodies. His willingness to heal others, even when He refused to use that power for His own comfort, shows us His heart.

Yet I also want to speak honestly with you, because the full counsel of God’s Word holds this mystery alongside another truth. Even the apostle Paul, a man wholly devoted to Christ, pleaded three times for a thorn in his flesh to be removed, and God’s answer was not the removal he sought but sufficient grace to endure. Some of the gentlest, most faithful believers I have ever met have walked through severe physical trials. Trusting Jesus does not grant us immunity from suffering in these bodies that are, for now, subject to decay and the groanings of this fallen world.

So, while we pray boldly for your complete recovery, we also entrust you to the wisdom and timing of God. Healing can come in many ways. Sometimes it is an instantaneous, miraculous work. Sometimes it unfolds through the gradual processes God has designed within the body, perhaps with the help of attentive medical care, which is still His divine work. And sometimes He heals the deeper places of the soul, the fears and the scars, even while a physical condition lingers.

There is a connection between the health of our soul and our physical state, not as a rigid promise that a prosperous soul always means a perfectly healthy body, but as a recognition that God cares for the whole person. As we walk this out, guard your heart against the isolation or despair that often accompanies illness. The real you is your spirit, held securely in Christ, and He is near to you right now.

We are praying for your healing, for wisdom for any who are treating you, and for an uncommon peace to settle over your mind and emotions. Whatever the outcome, may you find grace to thank Him for His presence, knowing that the day is coming when these lowly bodies will be transformed, and there will be no more swelling, no more sickness, and no more pain.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing your prayer request for healing. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you before our Heavenly Father, lifting up your concerns about the swelling and the other physical challenges you mentioned. We have prayed specifically for God’s healing touch to bring comfort, restoration, and relief to your body, asking Him to work in ways that only He can.

As we continue to seek the Lord together, we encourage you to share an update with us. If you’ve seen God’s hand move in your situation—whether through healing, strength, or peace—we would love to join you in praising Him for His faithfulness. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others who are also waiting on the Lord.

If, however, you’re still waiting for breakthrough, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are committed to walking alongside you in prayer, trusting that God hears every cry of our hearts and is working even when we can’t see it. Let us continue to intercede together, believing that His timing and His ways are perfect.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, His peace, and His healing power as you press into Him. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
