Beloved Servant
Please pray for my healing from being involved with someone who is psychologically abusive and not a Christian. Pray for my protection from this person and that they would never be able to contact me again. Thank you.

We have heard your request and we are joining together to seek God's will for you in Jesus' name. We are grieved to hear that you have endured psychological abuse, and we want you to know that this is not God's design for love or for how you should be treated. Love is patient and kind and does not dishonor or control another, as described in 1 Cor 13:4-5, and what you have experienced is contrary to that love. God sees your pain and He is close to you now, for Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. He also promises in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

We want to speak truth in love about being involved with someone who is not a Christian. Scripture clearly instructs us in 2 Cor 6:14 not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. When we enter a romantic relationship with someone who does not know Christ, we place ourselves outside of God's protection and wisdom for relationships. We believe that being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, because we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors God. If your involvement included sexual intimacy outside of that marriage covenant, we gently rebuke and correct that as well, for 1 Cor 6:18 calls us to flee sexual immorality, and sex before or outside marriage is fornication before God. If that has been part of your story, we encourage you to confess it before the Lord and receive His forgiveness and cleansing, for 1 John 1:9 assures us if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us.

We also rebuke the psychological abuse itself. It is wrong and sinful to manipulate, demean, or control another person, and God is your refuge and strength. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and in Psalm 91:2 we declare Yahweh, my refuge, my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. We are praying for your complete protection, that the Lord would be a wall around you and that every attempt of this person to contact you again would be blocked. We encourage you also to take practical steps of wisdom for your safety, such as blocking all forms of contact, telling trusted family, friends, and pastoral leaders about the situation, documenting any attempts at contact, and seeking help from your church and from safe counselors if needed. Forgiveness does not mean allowing continued harm or reconciliation with an abusive person, and it is right and biblical to set firm boundaries to protect yourself.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross and through His resurrection that we can bring our wounds directly to the Father and find healing and protection. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

We now pray together for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear one to You. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your healing upon the deep wounds left by psychological abuse. Heal memories, restore peace of mind, and quiet fear and anxiety with Your perfect love. We ask in Jesus' name that You would cast out all fear, for Your Word says perfect love casts out fear in 1 John 4:18. We pray for Your divine protection, that You would keep this person safe from all harm and that You would prevent this abusive person from ever contacting them again. Put a hedge around them, lead them in wisdom, and let no weapon formed against them prosper as in Isaiah 54:17. Give them courage to maintain boundaries and surround them with godly, supportive believers who will walk with them in truth and love. If there has been sin in this relationship, we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness and for a renewed commitment to purity and to seeking a godly spouse if it is Your will for marriage. Restore what the enemy has broken and lead them into the hope and future You have promised in Jer 29:11. We pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to remain close to God through prayer and His Word daily, to stay connected to a Bible believing church where you can receive ongoing pastoral care and counseling, and to allow time for the Lord to heal you fully before entering any new courtship. God loves you deeply and He desires to restore you. We continue to hold you in prayer for complete healing, peace, and safety.

Thank you for trusting us with this painful story. Being in a psychologically abusive relationship can leave you feeling worn down, confused and on edge, and we are so sorry you have walked through this. We hear your desire for healing and for safe distance from this person, and we are praying for you.

One thing that has helped many people in your situation is learning to build clear boundaries as part of healing. A boundary is like a property line that helps you know what you are responsible for and what you need to protect in order to heal, including your time, energy and peace. That can mean giving yourself permission to say no, to step away from harmful contact, and to let trusted people help you stay safe. It is not selfish to do this, it is part of guarding your heart while God restores you.

Alongside prayer, it can help to have one or two safe people who know what is happening, a pastor, counselor or trusted friend, and a simple plan for what to do if contact is attempted, including how you will block or document it. If you have not already, consider reaching out to a counselor or support service in your area for ongoing care.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our friend to You. Please surround them with Your protection and peace, heal the wounds left by this relationship, and give them wisdom and strength for each next step. Lead them to safe community and steady support, and keep them close to You. Amen.

Your request for healing and protection has been brought before the Lord with deep care and earnest prayer.

We join you in asking our heavenly Father for His healing touch upon the wounds left by this painful and abusive involvement. Scripture reminds us that Christ is the great Physician who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and that even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ, not only to forgive sin but to restore the spirit, to change the life blood and make the nature whole again. We pray that you would know that healing now, that the Lord who pardons also heals, and that His grace would work in you health and peace till you are made whole.

We also pray for your protection and for deliverance from further harm. We ask the Lord to set a hedge about you, to keep you safe from this person, and to order your steps so that you may live in peace and quietness. We pray for wisdom to establish right boundaries, for strength to maintain separation, and for the Lord to prevent further contact as you have asked. May He give you discernment, courage, and the faithful support of a local church family who can walk with you, counsel you, and help guard your safety.

We thank God that you have turned to Him in this trial. We pray that you will continue to look to Jesus Christ alone for salvation and healing, for He alone is the source of pardon and life. If you are not already surrounded by trusted pastors and mature believers, we encourage you to seek them out quickly, to share your situation openly with them, and to allow them to help you with practical steps for safety and spiritual care.

We are praying for you, that the Sun of Righteousness would rise upon you with healing in His wings, that you would be kept in perfect peace as you trust in Him, and that you would know increasingly the freedom and restoration that belong to those who are in Christ.

Father, we lift this dear one to You. Forgive, heal, protect and restore according to Your mercy in Christ Jesus. Keep this child of Yours from all evil, grant full healing from every wound, and lead in paths of holiness and peace. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Father in heaven, we come to you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved. We ask for your healing for this dear one who has been hurt by psychological abuse. Heal wounds in heart and mind, calm fear and confusion, and bring peace and restoration day by day. We ask for your protection. Keep this person safe from harm, guard them from further abuse, and in your mercy prevent this individual from being able to make contact again. Give wisdom to establish and maintain firm boundaries, courage to keep them, and provide trusted pastors, counselors, family and friends to walk alongside with support and accountability. Draw this dear one close to you, help them to rest in your care, to know your love more deeply, and to grow in wholeness through Christ. We also pray that you would work in the heart of the one who has caused harm, bringing conviction and leading to repentance and faith in you, while keeping this separation firm for safety.

We encourage you to remain separated and to keep the no contact boundaries you have described. Please stay connected to a safe local church, share your situation with a trusted pastor or biblical counselor, and lean on safe community around you. If you ever feel threatened or in danger, please reach out promptly to trusted authorities or a safe support service in your area. God is near to the brokenhearted and he desires to bring healing and renewal as you walk with him.

We will continue to pray for your healing, your protection, and your peace in Christ.
