We join with you in lifting up your ex and all your loved ones before the throne of grace, asking for healing and wholeness in Jesus' name.
We are moved by your compassion in praying for someone who is no longer in a close relationship with you and for your loved ones as well, for this reflects the heart of Christ who calls us to love and pray even for those who have hurt us or where relationships have ended. We pray that God would bring deep healing from all trauma and from every behavioral, emotional, and psychological struggle.
We know that our God is the great healer. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And in Jeremiah 30:17 the Lord declares, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in Psalm 34:18 that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. For those wrestling with anxiety, fear, or deep emotional pain, we remember Philippians 4:6-7 which tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We do want to speak gently into the area of this past relationship. In Scripture, a dating relationship between a man and a woman is courtship with the goal of discerning marriage to another believer in Christ, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God as described in Genesis 2:24 and affirmed by our Lord in Matthew 19:4-6. If there was any sexual intimacy outside of that marriage covenant, God calls that fornication and calls us to repent and to pursue purity, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 tells us Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. We say this not to condemn but to invite healing, because unconfessed sin and ungodly soul ties can hinder emotional and spiritual healing. If this applies, we encourage repentance and receiving forgiveness through Christ. We also encourage you to seek forgiveness and to release any bitterness, as Ephesians 4:32 says, And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Healing often comes as we forgive as Christ forgave us and trust God with the future rather than clinging to what was.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and can come boldly to God in prayer. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Him if you have not already.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear one's ex to You, and every loved one they carry in their heart. You see every hidden wound, every trauma, every struggle of mind and emotion and behavior that weighs them down. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon them. Heal their broken hearts, renew their minds, and restore what has been broken. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us not to be afraid for You are with us, and we pray Your presence would be tangibly near to each one, bringing comfort and peace that surpasses understanding.
Lord, if there is trauma that has taken root, we pray You would uproot it and replace it with Your truth and love. If there are patterns of thought or behavior that are not of You, we pray for deliverance and transformation by the renewing of their minds as taught in Romans 12:2. Bring godly counsel, wise and biblically grounded help, and supportive community around them if needed, and above all draw each of them into a saving and deepening relationship with Jesus Christ.
For the one who submitted this request, we pray for Your peace and healing as well. Help them to forgive, to release the past into Your hands, and to seek Your will for future relationships and for marriage if it is Your plan, pursuing only relationships that honor You and lead toward a Christ-centered marriage. Give them wisdom, hope, and joy as they trust in You.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Your request for healing has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who alone can heal the broken heart.
We are reminded that all individuals in every nation need healing, and that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before.
Scripture places healing and forgiveness in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man taken with palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing were one. The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His grace has infused into us will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. So we learn that first forgiveness, then healing is the order of grace. The Sun of Righteousness must rise with healing in His wings, and the broken heart must be bound up by His own hand, for a real saving work is the work of God, and God alone.
Therefore we pray for you, for the one who was formerly near to you, and for all your loved ones, that you each may know this true healing.
O Lord, our heavenly Physician, look upon these souls who bear trauma and wounds of spirit, mind and heart. Thou seest every behavioral and emotional affliction, every inward sorrow that no physician can fully reach. We ask not for a mere notion of healing, but for Thy real healing from Thy hand. Grant to each one, if they have not yet received it, first the forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and then the healing that flows from pardon. Touch each one as Thou didst take the hand and lift up the sick, establish contact through Thy incarnation and Thy cross, and make their nature new. Heal the broken in heart and bind up their wounds, change the life blood and make them whole, that being healed they may afterward rise and serve Thee in holiness of life.
We ask that all would be brought to walk in Thy ways, to know the purity and wholeness Thou intendest for us, living according to Thy design for life and love within the covenant Thou hast ordained, and finding in Christ the fountain of all comfort and restoration.
May the Lord in His mercy grant pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus to each one named before Him, and may He keep you in His grace. Amen.
