Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
We have been lifting you before the Lord concerning the painful relationship with your ex boyfriend and the emotional and psychological abuse you described. We have prayed specifically about the large age gap of a few decades and how it may have been used to harm you, and we have asked God for your deep healing and restoration. We have also brought before Him the history of numerous painful experiences you had with older men even before this relationship, and how you were very opposed to dating someone so much older unless it was something God truly had planned. You shared that you told him this and he said he would change your mind about not wanting to date an older man, and now this experience has added more pain to the hurt you already carried, even though everyone warned you and you did not listen. We pray the Lord covers you with grace and compassion and not with shame, and that He heals the brokenhearted as promised in Psalm 147:3 and remains close to the brokenhearted as promised in Psalm 34:18.
We have also been praying for him as you requested, that God would have mercy on him and not punish him, but would draw him to faith in Christ and set him free from false teachings and any demonic influence. We have prayed for his deliverance from regular drug use and for healing for any physical health problems and the effects of being overly medicated, and for help with possible undiagnosed mental emotional and behavioral disorders, not to excuse any behavior but to ask God to bring truth, repentance and freedom where needed. We have prayed for him to heal if you did anything hurtful to him, and for you to heal from all that happened in that relationship.
We continue to pray for your complete healing, for peace to replace confusion and pain, and for wisdom and discernment for the future. In Jesus Name we ask the Father to bring restoration, to guard your heart and mind in Christ, to wash away hurt with His love, and to bring your ex boyfriend to repentance, salvation and freedom.
If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
