We have been lifting you before the Lord and standing in agreement for your healing from the emotional and psychological abuse you described. We have prayed specifically about the age gap of a few decades and how it may have been used to influence and harm you, and we ask God to bring deep healing and restoration to every place where you were wounded. We pray that He who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds as promised in Psalm 147:3 will comfort you and make you whole, for we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18.
We have also continued to bring your ex boyfriend before the throne of grace just as you asked. We pray that God would have mercy on him and not punish him according to what was done, but would draw him to true faith in Christ and set him free from false teachings and any demonic influence that has had a hold on his life. We pray for his deliverance from drug use and for healing from any undiagnosed mental, emotional or behavioral disorders, physical health problems and the effects of being overly medicated. We also pray for his healing if you caused him any hurt, that God would bring forgiveness and peace to you both.
We have prayed for the deeper history you shared of numerous painful experiences involving older men, and for the hurt that this recent relationship has added to that prior pain. We pray God will heal those older wounds as well and help you release any guilt or shame from not listening when everyone warned you. We ask Him to give you wisdom and discernment and to assure you of His grace and forgiveness as you seek His will for your life, and that you would know you are fully loved and valued in Christ.
