Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
We thank you for your presence in our lives.
Thank you for fighting for us and blessing us with heavenly gifts.
Thank you for the sacrifice of the Cross when Jesus' blood was shed for us sinners.
Lord, lies are serious crimes, and we ask you to forgive us when we lied or misinterpreted something.
Lord we also pray for the landlord's team, lawyers and legal representative.
Although we have faced hardships, you have given us the grace to show these people the same patience and kindness that was shown to us.
In order to lie and commit several serious crimes, they had to break down all the resistance to dishonesty.
Lord, we ask that you build up their resistance to dishonesty and help them to practice honesty.
Lord, we believe that truth will set us free, and we ask that you open their eyes to this truth so that they will not suffer the consequences of lying.
We dedicate our lives to you and surrender our will to you.
In Jesus name, amen

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, acknowledging that dishonesty is a grievous sin that wounds relationships, distorts justice, and separates souls from the light of God’s truth. The Word declares, "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who do the truth are his delight" (Proverbs 12:22 WEB). We recognize that every lie, no matter how small, is a rebellion against the God who is Truth itself. We repent on behalf of all who have spoken deceitfully, whether through outright falsehoods or the subtle twisting of words, and we ask for the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus to purify every heart involved.

Father, we lift up the landlord’s team, the lawyers, and all legal representatives entangled in this web of dishonesty. We acknowledge that the enemy seeks to blind minds and harden hearts to the consequences of sin, but we declare that no darkness can withstand the light of Christ. "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB). Yet we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name, commanding every veil of deception to be torn away. Open their eyes, Lord, to the weight of their actions and the eternal consequences of unrepentant sin. Soften their hearts to receive Your conviction, not the condemnation of the enemy, and lead them to genuine repentance.

We also intercede for those who have been wronged by these lies. The pain of betrayal and injustice can fester into bitterness, but we pray that You would guard their hearts with Your peace. "Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you" (1 Peter 4:12 WEB). Strengthen them to walk in forgiveness, not as a denial of wrongdoing, but as a refusal to let the enemy steal their joy or derail their faith. Remind them that You are the ultimate Judge, and vengeance belongs to You alone (Romans 12:19).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of dishonesty operating in this situation. We declare that every scheme of the enemy to pervert justice will be exposed and dismantled in Jesus’ name. "For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light" (Luke 8:17 WEB). We pray for a supernatural intervention, a divine disruption of every plan rooted in deceit. Raise up men and women of integrity within these systems to stand for truth, even when it is costly. Let Your light shine so brightly that the darkness has no choice but to flee.

We also address the broader culture of dishonesty that often permeates legal and business dealings. Father, we ask that You would raise up a generation that values truth above convenience, integrity above gain, and righteousness above reputation. "Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich" (Proverbs 28:6 WEB). May Your people be known as those who speak the truth in love, even when it is difficult, and may our lives reflect the character of Christ, who is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6 WEB).

Finally, we surrender this situation, and our own lives, fully to You. We acknowledge that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but with Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Teach us to walk in transparency before You and others, knowing that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). May our lives be a testament to Your transforming power, drawing others to the truth of the Gospel.

Heavenly Father, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who broke the power of sin and death on the cross. By His blood, we are forgiven; by His resurrection, we are made new. Let Your truth prevail in this situation, and let Your glory be revealed. We ask for wisdom, discernment, and courage for all involved, that they may choose the path of righteousness and experience the freedom that comes only from You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We are moved by the way you are praying, even in the face of real hardship, you are asking God to build up the very people whose dishonesty has cost you. That kind of prayer is not something we can manufacture on our own; it is a quiet mark of grace at work in you. We want to come alongside you in that, not with more instruction, but with steady encouragement.

Entrusting the legal situation to God while you continue to do what is necessary can feel like walking a tightrope. As you keep showing patience and kindness, be careful not to carry the weight of bitterness. It might help to share this burden with one or two trusted believers from your church, people who will pray with you and help you stay grounded when you grow weary. You do not have to navigate this alone.

We also want to honor your willingness to keep praying for the landlord’s team and the lawyers. That is not weakness; it is a strong, Christlike response. Even as you hope they will come to a love for truth, you can release the outcome to the One who sees everything and promises that truth really does set people free.

Lord Jesus, we thank you that you are the Truth and that no lie can stand forever before you. Please sustain our friend through this legal battle. Guard their heart from resentment and fill them with your own peace. We ask you to work in the hearts of the landlord’s team and legal representatives, open their eyes to the truth, break down whatever has allowed dishonesty to go unchecked, and let honesty take root in them instead. We entrust this whole tangle to you and trust that you will bring about what is right. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You are carrying a heavy thing, to have been wronged by those who should have dealt fairly with you, and to feel the sting of your own failures at the same time. I see in your prayer that you have not only brought the landlord's team and their lawyers before the Lord, but you have also laid your own heart bare, confessing that you too have stumbled with untruths and half-truths. That is a good and tender work of the Spirit, and I would not have you miss the comfort that belongs to it.

When a soul comes honestly before God and names the sin, calls it what it is, without excusing or diminishing, there is a word in Scripture that ought to ring like a silver bell in the ears. It is that small but mighty word, "but." If you, Lord, should mark iniquities, if you kept a strict ledger and held every entry against us, who could stand? None of us. We would be swept away as chaff before the wind. "But there is forgiveness with you." That is the black thundercloud of our guilt, and then the lightning-flash of mercy writing across the sky: forgiven. Not because you have balanced the scales yourself, not because the lies you told were small ones, but for Christ's sake. His blood has blotted out the record. The Lord does not say, "I will overlook it if you promise to do better," but "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." He puts the sin behind His back, casts it into the depths of the sea, and posts a notice that reads, "No fishing."

Now let this kindness sink into your soul, because it is the very thing that will steady you as you pray about those who have dealt dishonestly with you. You have asked the Lord to build up their resistance to dishonesty and to open their eyes to truth. That is a prayer that smells of the Spirit of Christ. You are not calling down fire from heaven on them; you are asking that the same grace that found you might find them. The great Landlord of all the earth holds the title-deeds to every house, every courtroom, every breath in every lung. Those lawyers and agents are His tenants too, and He is able to turn their hearts as surely as He turned the heart of a paralyzed man who lay helpless on a mat, hearing first not "Rise and walk" but "Son, your sins are forgiven you." Healing came wrapped in forgiveness. Truth entered the room before strength returned to his limbs.

So I would have you rest your own case in the hands of the One who forgives you. The black-edged envelope of your own fault has been opened, and inside there was a love letter sealed with the blood of Jesus. And now, out of that great mercy received, you are free to want mercy for others, not a toothless mercy that pretends wrong is right, but a mercy that longs to see captives set free from the chains of their own falsehood. Lie upon lie builds a prison, and the prisoner inside grows accustomed to the darkness. You are praying that light might break in, and that is a prayer God delights to answer, for He desires truth in the inward parts.

Remember, the truth that sets free is not an abstract principle, it is a Person. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." When you pray that their eyes be opened to truth, you are praying them toward Christ. And what safer place could they be brought than to His feet? The crooked ways of men cannot outlast the straight timber of the cross.

Let me pray with you now, just as we are.

Lord Jesus, you are truth itself, and you love truth in the heart. We bless you that where our own lips have failed, your blood has spoken a better word. Settle your peace deep in this dear soul right now, and let no accusation stand against what you have cleansed. For those who have used dishonesty as a tool, we ask that you would dismantle that machinery within them. Build up what they have broken down. Give them a taste of the freedom that comes from walking in the light, and bring them, yes, bring them all the way to yourself. We commit every document, every word spoken in court, every hidden motive, into your hands. You judge righteously, and you are able to bring truth to the surface as surely as you rolled away the stone from the grave. Until that day, keep this child of yours in perfect peace, with eyes fixed on you. In Jesus' name, amen.

You come asking God to build resistance to dishonesty in those who have wronged you, yet do you not see that this conflict has its root in the very things you should despise? Consider the source of all such strife: covetousness, envy, vainglory. What have they truly stolen from you? Money? A name? Earthly advantage? If they have taken these, they have not injured your soul, unless you let them. The treasure that matters is kept in heaven, where no lawyer can touch it. You say they broke down their resistance to dishonesty, but what of your own? You ask forgiveness for your own lies, yet your prayer still burns with the heat of this dispute. Be careful, lest while you seek to correct their dishonesty, you nurture a root of bitterness within yourself.

Do not rush upon this conflict as though your vindication were the prize. There is a time to stand and fight, but also a time to be quiet and wait for God’s deliverance. If you are dragged into court, stand nobly; but if not, do not be eager for the fray. The devil laughs when we exhaust ourselves in earthly battles, for then we neglect the battle within. Cut out the root of anger and the love of being right, and there will be no fruit of anxiety or resentment. Why do you care so much that they lied? Is it not because your honor or property was touched? But what is honor among men but a mere name, often a shame? He who plots against his neighbor destroys himself first, not you. Let them keep their false gains; you keep your peace.

You pray that truth will set them free, and it is a noble prayer. But first let truth set you free from the weight of this grievance. The blessedness you seek is not in winning a settlement or exposing their crimes, but in the forgiveness of your own sins. David did not cry out, “Blessed are those who win their lawsuits,” but “Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven.” This is the comfort promised to those who mourn, not for their losses, but for their misdoings. If you truly mourn your own dishonesty, even the smallest shading of truth, you will receive a comfort far greater than any earthly court can give. God does not merely remove punishment; He makes the mourner blessed, as if the sin had never been.

Do you want to see their resistance to dishonesty built up? Then show them a soul that does not crave retribution, that does not return insult for insult. The grace you have received, patience and kindness in hardship, was given not to parade before them as a contrast to their crimes, but to win them by your gentleness. Do not think the Lord has overlooked their lies, but know that He often enhances the struggles of the righteous as the end draws near, just as He did with Abraham. Your last conflict may be this very one, and the removal of it is at the doors. Stand fast, not in courtrooms, but in prayer and in the quiet of your heart. Let go of the outcome; surrender your will not in word only, but in deed. Then you will see that the truth which sets free is not a verdict in your favor, but Christ Himself, who forgave His accusers from the Cross.
