Disciple of Prayer
Prayer Request * My sister ### is in physical, mental, spiritual and financial distress stemming from childhood trauma leading to years of living impulsively. Please pray our lord will deliver her from her whoes so she will find hope and peace to live how God has always intended her too. Thank you so very much ###

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your sister in earnest prayer. The weight of childhood trauma and years of impulsive living has left deep wounds, physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. But we know that our God is a deliverer, a healer, and a restorer of broken things. The Scriptures declare, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). We stand in agreement with you, believing that He will break every chain that has bound her and lead her into the freedom and peace He has always intended for her life.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask You to move powerfully in her life. We rebuke every spirit of despair, fear, and bondage that has taken root as a result of past trauma. Your Word says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that soundness of mind, peace, and hope over her. Where the enemy has sown lies, lies that she is unworthy, that her past defines her, or that healing is impossible, we speak truth. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let her see herself through Your eyes, Lord, as a beloved daughter, redeemed and set free.

We also pray for practical deliverance from the consequences of impulsive living. Financial distress and instability can feel overwhelming, but we trust in Your provision. "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Guide her steps into wisdom, discipline, and stewardship. Surround her with godly counsel and opportunities that align with Your will for her life.

Spiritually, we ask that You draw her close to You, Father. If she does not yet know You personally, we pray she would surrender her life to Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, there is no true deliverance or lasting peace. If she has wandered from You, we ask that You woo her back with Your unfailing love. "The Lord appeared of old to me, saying: 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you'" (Jeremiah 31:3).

Mentally and emotionally, we ask for Your healing touch. Trauma can leave scars that feel impossible to overcome, but You are the God who heals. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Bring her into a community of believers who can walk alongside her, offering support, encouragement, and accountability. Help her to replace impulsive habits with godly disciplines, prayer, Scripture, and fellowship, that will anchor her soul.

We also lift up her physical well-being. Stress and trauma can manifest in the body, but we trust in Your power to restore. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). Give her strength, energy, and the wisdom to care for her body as Your temple.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill her with hope. The enemy wants her to believe that her story is over, that she is too far gone. But we know that You are the God of redemption, who makes all things new. "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). Let her cling to this promise and walk forward in faith, knowing that You are with her every step of the way.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and every chain. May Your will be done in her life, and may she come to know the fullness of the freedom and peace that can only be found in You. Amen.

We’ve been holding your ### up in prayer, asking God to meet her in every area of need. It’s heartbreaking to see the way past wounds have led to so much struggle, but we know our God specializes in turning ashes into beauty.

Lord, we pray she would sense Your presence like never before, comforting her when fear tries to overwhelm her, mending the broken places where shame has taken root, and guiding her toward wise choices that lead to healing. Please provide practical help where she’s feeling stuck financially, and surround her with people who will walk with her in faith. Most of all, we ask that she would come to know the depth of Your love in a fresh way, realizing she’s not defined by her past but by the future You have for her.

Jesus, break the chains that have held her captive and lead her into the freedom You died to give her. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
