Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join with you in agreement in the name of Jesus and we thank you for bringing this man before the throne of grace. We praise God with you for the cross and for the suffering of His holy Son for all who believe, for by His wounds we are healed. We are encouraged that you have come together in the name of Jesus, for He said in Matthew 18:19-20 that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by our Father who is in heaven, and where two or three are gathered together in His name, there He is in the midst of them. We also rejoice that you lifted this prayer in the powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we must be saved and no other way to the Father, as Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We agree that the Lord knows the plans He has for this man and that His thoughts are far greater than ours, for it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, and in Isaiah 55:8-9, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. We pray that he will come to know his true identity in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation as we read in 2 Corinthians 5:17, The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Any false identity adopted through sinful relationships or activities is not who God created him to be, and we pray that the Lord will open his eyes to see that clearly.

We understand your burden for his deliverance from the narrow path he has left and the sinful relationships that now control and endanger him. The Word calls us to enter in by the narrow gate, for narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life, and few are those who find it in Matthew 7:13-14. When a man strays from that path to follow his own desires, especially into sexual immorality, he sins against his own body and against God, for it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. If this involves fornication or adultery outside of marriage between a man and a woman, we must call it what God calls it, sin that needs repentance and forsaking, for God calls us to purity and to honor marriage. We also take seriously your concern that he is being controlled, blackmailed, and that his life may be in danger, and we pray for his protection, for Yahweh is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1.

We pray together for him now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this former landlord to You. Lord, You know him and You love him, and You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. We ask that You break his stony heart and give him a new heart and a new spirit within him, as You promised in Ezekiel 36:26, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Soften his heart, Lord, and give him courage to turn from sin and to follow the narrow path that leads to life, and to fear Your holy name, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom in Proverbs 9:10. Grant him understanding to depart from evil and to be delivered from the evil influences in his life, including the ungodly relationships and any woman who is leading him into sin, for her ways lead down to death. Separate him, Father, from every ungodly influence, even those in his own household, for we know that Evil companionships corrupt good morals in 1 Corinthians 15:33, and we ask that You surround him with godly counsel and bring him into fellowship where Your truth is spoken in love. Where he is controlled and blackmailed and in danger, we ask for Your divine protection and for wisdom to seek help and to walk in the light, and we claim the promise in John 8:36, If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. Help him to submit himself to You and to resist the devil so that the enemy will flee from him according to James 4:7. Open his eyes to the depth of Your love and to the hatefulness and destructiveness of the sinful relationships he has entered, and lead him to true repentance and to the cleansing that comes only through the blood of Jesus. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with persistence and love, speaking the truth in love and not ceasing to point him to Jesus and to the Word of God. Pray that he will hunger for the Scriptures and that God will bring a faithful believer or pastor into his life who can disciple him and help him walk out his deliverance day by day. We also encourage you to pray for your own protection and wisdom as you intercede, and to trust that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

Thank you for bringing this man to the Lord with such compassion. We can hear how much you want him to know he is deeply loved and to be free from what is controlling and harming him.

We join you in praying that he comes to see himself clearly as God sees him. When someone has been shaped by difficult relationships and by choices that pull away from God, it can be hard to know who he really is. Our prayer is that he discovers an identity rooted in Christ that is steady and not shaken by pressure, shame, or the voices around him, and that this gives him courage to step away from what is destructive.

Carrying concern for someone whose safety you worry about is heavy. It helps to keep lifting him to Jesus faithfully while also staying grounded yourself. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer you can confide in, sharing this burden with one person can help you keep perspective and maintain kind, clear boundaries in the landlord relationship.

We pray now:

Father, we lift this man to you and ask you to draw near to him. Show him your love, give him eyes to see truth, soften his heart and give him courage to walk your narrow path. Keep him safe, free him from controlling and harmful influences, and lead him toward wise, godly community. Give our friend peace as she trusts you with him. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer is heard and we join our faith with yours before the throne of grace, pleading in the name of Jesus who alone is the ransom for sinners.

We are reminded of that precious word, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom. No man could have devised this way of deliverance from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it, and He has not only invented the way but He has found the ransom in the gift of His own Son. The cross upon which you have rightly fixed your hope is the only ground of deliverance. There the King's own Son bore the penalty of all iniquities, that the prisoner ready to be executed might go free. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, and deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God.

Scripture teaches us that He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. Man cannot break his own chains, nor can sympathy or persuasion alone loose the captive. If ever a man is delivered from spiritual bondage of heart, it is not by any easy work or by a hasty word, but by that supernatural power which makes a man born again from above.

Therefore we bring this man, once your landlord and still a soul for whom Christ died, before the Lord with you. We pray that the Lord who kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door would graciously break his stony heart and give him a heart of flesh, that He would open his eyes to see the clear and unmistakable truth of his identity in Christ, and to see the vanity and bondage of every false identity adopted when he strayed from the narrow path to follow his own desires. We ask that God would teach him the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and grant him courage to depart from evil and to fear His holy name.

We pray with you that the Lord would in mercy separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from every hateful and sinful entanglement where he is controlled and imperiled. That which comes from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and we pray this chastening would be profitable to bring him to repentance and to holiness. May the Lord keep back his soul from the pit and his life from perishing, and save him from himself, from his old sins, and from evil company, for God has said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit.

We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for there is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes us free, and His way is the narrow path that leads to life. Marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and purity within it, is for our good and His glory, and every path contrary to it leads downward. We pray instead for his full deliverance into that good and holy way, that he might know the depth of the love of God in Christ and walk in newness of life.

Take comfort that the Lord fills both the bitter cup and the sweet goblet, and He hears the prayers of those who agree in Jesus name. Continue to commit this soul to Him who is gracious, and who has found a ransom. May you live to declare the works of the Lord, giving thanks that He has chastened sorely but not given over unto death, and may this man yet say with the delivered, He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.

We commend you and him to the mercy of God our Saviour, praying that both of you may be kept in the way everlasting. In the powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking Him for the cross where His holy Son suffered for all who believe, and for the promise that He hears us when we agree together in prayer.

We lift up this man to the Lord who alone saves through faith in Jesus Christ. We ask God to make His love and truth known to him, to open his eyes to who he is in Christ, and to show him the mercy that delivers from sin and brings us into sonship. Where a false identity has been taken on through sinful relationships and following his own desires away from the narrow path, we pray that God would break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh that fears His holy name and turns from evil.

We ask the Lord to give him courage to walk the narrow path, to see clearly the danger and bondage of the ungodly influences and controlling relationships that have surrounded him, and to grant him true repentance and understanding to depart from every relationship that is outside God's holy design. We pray that God would separate him from those influences, including those in his household, and keep him safe where his life may be in danger from control and blackmail, and that He would draw him into the light of Christ where there is forgiveness, freedom, and new life.

We pray that he would come to know the depth of God's love, not as approval of sin, but as the love that calls sinners to leave sin behind and to live in holiness. For God's design is good, that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant alone, and outside of it we all need His grace and cleansing.

We also pray for you, that the Lord would give you wisdom, steadiness, and love to speak the truth in love, to continue in prayer and thankfulness, and to trust that God alone can grant deliverance and supply every good thing through Christ. May He guard you and this man and lead you both to walk in His will.

We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus, our only hope of salvation, amen.
