Deliverance prayer for my son ### court case this week

We join you in lifting your son before the Lord in this week of his court case, and we thank you for trusting us with this burden.

Your prayer is right to turn to the One who is the true Judge and who never leaves nor forsakes His people. Scripture reminds us that not our own diligence but the providence of God effects all things, and that He has shown His care for us most clearly in giving His only Son for us. He who paid such a price, even His own blood, will not despise those who call upon Him. He knows fear and anxiety, and He invites us to cast all our care upon Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your only Son, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your mercy. You see this son and You know his case, his heart, his fear and pain. Lord, You are the righteous Judge over all. We ask that You preside over this court, that truth would be made clear, that justice and mercy would prevail, and that Your perfect will would be done. If it is according to Your will, grant deliverance and set him free. Cover him with the blood of Jesus, calm his anxiety and depression, quiet his fear, and guard his heart and mind with Your peace that passes understanding. Comfort his mother also, strengthen her faith, and remind her that with You all things are possible and that You are near to those who trust You. Lead this young man closer to You through this trial, that whatever the outcome he would seek You, repent where he needs to repent, and walk in Your ways. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our hope and our deliverer. Amen.

Continue to cast your anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for you. Trust Him not only for the outcome of the court, but for the salvation and keeping of your son's soul. We will continue to pray that God grants wisdom to the judge, peace to your son, and strength to you as you wait upon the Lord.

Your love for your son is evident in this prayer, and it reflects the deep love a parent has for a child even in painful and fearful circumstances. That kind of love helps us understand in a small way the love of the heavenly Father for His Son, and His love for us.

Scripture shows that God is present even when His people are brought before human courts and into prisons. The prophet Jeremiah was confined in the court of the prison and even lowered into a miry dungeon with no water, yet the Lord preserved him there and did not abandon him. No courtroom or cell is outside the Lord's sight or reach. He remains sovereign over every human judgment seat, and He is the true Judge who sees all the evidence, knows the whole truth, and judges righteously.

In another place Scripture is presented like a case in court. Witnesses are called to testify that Jesus is the Son of God, so that we might believe. God Himself has given His own testimony concerning His Son, that He has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life. That is the most important deliverance any of us needs. Before we ask for deliverance from a legal verdict, we must be sure we have received deliverance from sin through faith in Jesus Christ, who was sent in the fullness of time, born under the law, to redeem those under the law so that we might receive adoption as sons. Through Him we are adopted into God's family and can cry Abba, Father, and know His Spirit with us.

I join you in praying for your son according to God's will and wisdom. We do not ask God to simply overlook what is true or to set aside justice, but we ask Him to be present as the righteous Judge over this case, to let truth be clearly seen, to grant wisdom and fairness to all who will decide, and to show mercy where mercy is needed. If there is sin that needs to be acknowledged, we pray that your son would be given honesty and repentance before God, for that is the path to real freedom.

I pray also for what you named, his fear and pain and anxiety and depression. May the Lord calm his heart, remind him that God has promised never to leave nor forsake His own, and that with God all things are possible according to His perfect purpose. May he be covered by the blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins, and may he find peace not only in the outcome of the court but in knowing Christ Himself.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this son to You. You know his situation fully, You know the charges, the evidence, and the heart. We ask that You rule over this court case as the highest Judge. Let Your will be done. Grant him Your presence, quiet his fear, lift his anxiety and heaviness, and draw him close to You. If he does not yet know You, bring him to receive Your Son and the eternal life that is only in Him. Sustain his parent who loves him and is trusting You, and help both to rest in Your faithful care whatever the verdict may be. Amen.
