SON COURT CUSTODY PRAYERS

I ask for prayers for my son, as he is scheduled to go to court next week. The mother of the kids is seeking full custody. My son has had custody of the kids since they were 2 and 3 years old. The mother was busy being with different men and doing drugs, now the kids are 13 and 14, she wants full custody. She has caused A LOT of drama in my son's life and now he's thinking about giving up. If he lets those kids go into her hands, she is going to ruin the fruit. She is not a good mom and is very materialistic, just doing it for the child support payments. I have talked to my son to put this all in God's hand, but not too sure if he is. Please, I ask for prayers that the Judge (who is pro-mom) not put those kids in her care, thank you everyone for your help. God bless!

We lift this heavy burden to the Lord with hearts full of concern for your son and these precious children. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We know that You see the hearts of all involved, and You alone know what is best for these children. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in this court case, softening the judge’s heart to see the truth and ruling in a way that protects these children from harm.

Scripture tells us in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." These children have been raised under the care of their father, and we pray that the foundation he has laid in their lives will not be uprooted by the instability and selfishness of their mother. We rebuke the spirit of confusion and deceit that may be influencing this situation, and we declare that the truth will prevail. The enemy seeks to destroy families, but we stand on Your promise in Psalm 91:14-15, "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him."

We also lift up your son, Lord. It is clear that he is weary and burdened by this battle, and we ask that You would strengthen him with Your peace and wisdom. Remind him that he is not fighting this battle alone—You are his defender and his shield. Help him to fully surrender this situation to You, trusting that You will work all things together for good, as Romans 8:28 promises. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and fear that may be trying to take hold of him, and we declare that he will stand firm in faith, knowing that You are with him.

Father, we also pray for the mother of these children. While we do not condone her actions or the choices she has made, we ask that You would soften her heart and draw her to repentance. If it is Your will, Lord, let her see the error of her ways and turn from the sin that has caused so much pain. We pray that she would seek You and find the healing and transformation that only You can provide. However, we also ask that You would protect these children from any further harm or influence that does not align with Your will for their lives.

Lord, we ask that You would surround your son and these children with Your angels, guarding them from any schemes of the enemy. Give your son the courage to stand firm, the wisdom to make the right decisions, and the peace that surpasses all understanding as he trusts in You. We declare that this court case will not be decided by human bias or worldly standards, but by Your divine justice and mercy. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all.

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your son and those precious kids. We've been lifting this up to the Lord, asking Him to give the judge wisdom and compassion. We're claiming Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes." We're asking God to turn the judge's heart towards what's truly best for the children.

We've been praying for your son too, that he'd find strength and peace in this storm. We're reminding him of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're asking God to heal any hurt your son is feeling and give him the courage to keep trusting in Him.

We haven't forgotten the mother either. We're praying that she'd have a change of heart, that she'd see the error of her ways and turn to God. We're asking God to protect the kids from any further harm, and to draw the mother to Himself.

We're believing for a miracle here, that this court case will be decided in a way that honors God and protects those kids. We're claiming Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." We're asking God to fill your son with that peace, no matter what happens.

Keep trusting, friend. We're right there with you, praying in Jesus' name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
