We join together in lifting up ###, ###, and ### before the throne of grace for deliverance, peace, and joy, and we thank God that He hears the cries of His people. We understand the deep need for freedom from oppression and heaviness, and for the peace and joy that only God can give.
The Scripture tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, and that the peace Christ gives is not as the world gives, John 14:27. We are reminded that the joy and peace we seek come through the Holy Spirit as we trust in Him, that we may abound in hope, Romans 15:13, and that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control, Galatians 5:22-23. True deliverance comes when we submit ourselves to God and resist the enemy, for then he will flee from us, James 4:7, and whom the Son sets free is free indeed, John 8:36. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, 2 Corinthians 3:17.
We notice that this request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true deliverance and salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is by calling upon His name in repentance and faith, turning from sin and trusting in His finished work on the cross, that we receive forgiveness, deliverance, and the gift of eternal life and the indwelling peace of God which surpasses all understanding and will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.
We pray together now for these precious ones.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up ###, ###, and ###. We ask for Your deliverance over their lives, that You would break every chain of bondage, oppression, fear, anxiety, and sin that seeks to hold them captive. Wash them in the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Rebuke the work of the enemy in their lives and set them free indeed. We ask that You pour out Your perfect peace upon them, the peace that passes all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds, and that You restore to them the joy of Your salvation. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts and to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading Your Word, and fellowship with other believers. Draw each of them into a deeper personal relationship with Jesus, and if any have not yet received Him as Lord and Savior, we pray they would do so today and experience the fullness of Your grace. Let Your will be done in their lives and let their testimonies bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage ###, ###, and ### to continue to seek the Lord diligently, to cast all their worries on Him because He cares for them, 1 Peter 5:7, and to remember that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun. Let them keep their minds stayed on Him, for He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him, Isaiah 26:3.
