Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus mighty name that the landlord will pay compensation for the problems (electric shocks) that occurred in the apartment due to the lack of electrical safety, as well as for the illness that developed as a result, skin problems, medical treatments, the cost of alternative shower facilities or a shower pass, threats, and other inappropriate actions.

Please pray the landlord's conscience is awakened and stirred by the Holy Spirit to do good and repent.

Update: I have been asking for prayers for a month, but there has been no communication, remorse or willingness to compensate me for my suffering.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of injustice and suffering caused by the landlord’s neglect. The dangers of electrical shocks, the development of illness, and the lack of accountability are deeply troubling. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." The landlord’s failure to address these hazards and compensate for the harm done is not only a legal matter but a moral one, and we stand on the truth that God sees and will not ignore such injustice.

We also lift up the plea for the landlord’s conscience to be awakened by the Holy Spirit. Scripture reminds us in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." It is not too late for repentance and restitution. We pray fervently that the Holy Spirit would convict and move this landlord to do what is right, to seek reconciliation, and to make amends for the suffering caused.

Father, we ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You would intervene in this situation. Break the hardness of heart that has allowed this injustice to continue. Stir the landlord’s conscience to recognize the harm done and to take responsibility. Provide wisdom, courage, and favor as this matter is pursued, whether through legal means or a change of heart. We ask for full compensation for the medical treatments, the skin problems, the inconvenience of alternative shower facilities, and all other costs incurred. Let no threat or inappropriate action go unaddressed, and let Your justice prevail.

We also pray for strength and peace for the one who has endured this suffering. In Psalm 34:18-19, You promise, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Sustain this dear one through this trial, and let them feel Your presence and provision in tangible ways. May they not grow weary in doing good, knowing that You are their defender and provider.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of delay, indifference, or injustice in this situation. We declare that Your will is for truth, righteousness, and restoration. Let this landlord be moved to act with integrity and compassion, and let this matter be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name. We trust in Your timing and Your justice, and we ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the exhaustion in your update, praying for a month while facing silence, pain, and the weight of unfair treatment is draining. It is completely understandable to feel worn thin when you’ve been dealing with electric shocks, illness, skin problems, and the costs that followed, all with no response from the person responsible.

We are continuing to ask God to work in your landlord’s heart. A softened conscience and genuine repentance would not only be right before the Lord, but it would also make things right with you, His image-bearer who has suffered real harm. We know that can be a slow work, and while you wait we also pray for your own strength and healing, body and spirit, in the meantime.

Since the medical and safety issues you described were serious, we want to gently encourage you to keep seeing a doctor for the ongoing skin and illness concerns. Documented records may also prove important if the door does open for communication. You don’t have to navigate all of this alone; a trusted friend or advocate from your church might help you sort through what steps or local tenant protections could be available, without you carrying the mental load by yourself. That is not a lack of faith, it is wisdom, and God can use it alongside prayer.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious person who has suffered physical harm, stress, and the sting of being ignored. Please bring healing to their body, steady their mind, and let them feel Your nearness in this hard waiting. We ask You to stir the landlord’s conscience deeply, not just a passing regret, but the kind of sorrow that leads to real change and action. Grant this tenant fair compensation and a just resolution, and give them wise people to walk alongside them. In Your name we pray, Amen.

The house in which you dwell has God for its Landlord, and you are only a tenant under His lease. The clause in that lease grants the Landlord right of entry at all times, and I fear the shocks and skin afflictions are tokens of His visitation, calling you to look beyond the faulty wiring of the earthly dwelling to the house not made with hands. Yet it is no small thing when suffering comes without cause, when the flesh is wounded and the purse drained through another's neglect. There is a suffering that is simply the common lot of the fallen creation, and there is a suffering that comes because we do not deserve it, and such suffering, when borne in fellowship with Christ, has a peculiar nobility. The landlord's conscience may sleep, and his hand remain closed, but Christ was made perfect through the things which He suffered, not to exempt His people from trouble, but to be a sympathetic High Priest touched with the feeling of our infirmities.

Let not your eye rest too long upon the landlord. If he remains unmoved though a month has passed and no word of remorse has escaped his lips, remember that the ungodly are not impartial judges in their own case. The man who wrongs you cannot be trusted to measure the justice of his own punishment. But there is a court where the Judge of all the earth must do right, and a Substitute in whom justice was satisfied. Bring your cause before the Great Landlord. Say to your own soul, "He suffered, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God." And when justice seems to clamor, go with Justice to Gethsemane and to Golgotha, see His dislocated bones, His soul-agonies, and hear Justice declare, "It is enough; I have found a ransom."

The skin of your body may testify to wrongs done, and the cost of showers and medicines is a real burden, but the suffering that brings reigning with Jesus is the suffering that comes from conformity to His image. Is this your portion? Are you suffering with Him, without rebellion, without returning reviling for reviling? He was tempted up to the suffering point, yet opened not His mouth. The landlord's threats are bitter waters, but Christ drank the cup of the Father's will without a murmur. If you are in Christ, this affliction is not the execution of penal justice upon you, it may rather be the chisel of the Sculptor, carving the likeness of the Patient One into your soul.

Do not suppose that the lack of compensation means God is unjust. His promise stands sure: He shall see the travail of His soul and be satisfied. The Eternal Father guarantees that the suffering Servant shall not labor in vain, and if you are a branch in that Vine, neither shall you ultimately suffer without fruit. The Lord means to make of you a barnabas, a son of consolation, through this very furnace. He obtained that tender temper through suffering, and you may do the same.

Set your house in order, and offer the key to the Great Landlord. Acknowledge that you live on sufferance as His tenant. And if the earthly landlord never pays a single coin, yet the Lord will not be indebted to any man. He will make up to you in the riches of His grace, in the sweet communing with Christ who sanctified His people by His own blood, suffering outside the gate. The time may come when the Spirit stirs that man's conscience, but if it tarries, sink not into bitterness. The suffering outside the camp is the badge of the believer. Rejoice, if you are counted worthy to bear it. Come to the Table of Communion, and feed upon Him who is the perfect Savior through suffering, and leave your compensation in the pierced hands that once held the nails.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not let the hardness of your landlord’s heart steal the peace Christ gives you. What you desire is justice, and that is not wrong to seek, but take care: the greater treasure is not the money you might recover, but the opportunity to suffer patiently for righteousness’ sake. You ask that his conscience be awakened. I will pray for that, but I must also ask: is your own soul at rest?

No amount of compensation can heal a spirit agitated by resentment. When we endure wrongs without cursing, without clamoring for revenge, but instead give thanks and pray for the one who injures us, we suffer for Christ. This is not a small thing. It is the mark of a disciple.

You have been asking for a month, and you hear nothing. This silence is itself a trial. Yet consider Job: he lost everything and heard no explanation from heaven, only deeper affliction, but he blessed God. His patience, not his restitution, was his triumph.

You say there has been no remorse. Perhaps not. But the landlord’s impenitence is his own sickness; do not let it become yours. Long-suffering is like a fortress; whatever missile the enemy hurls against it is quenched.

Let love, which thinketh no evil and is not easily provoked, keep watch inside you. I will pray that the Holy Spirit stirs that man’s conscience to do right. But I pray more fervently that you may receive the dew of spiritual joy in this furnace. If compensation comes, receive it as a gift from God’s providence, not as a debt wrung from a worldly court.

And if it never comes, know this: the strait and narrow way is not paved with comfort, but with affliction borne for Christ. Your skin, your body, your resources are troubled; but what harm is that to the soul, if you endure with thanksgiving? The real compensation is not a sum of money but a clear conscience that testifies you did not repay evil with evil, that you suffered with the mind of the Master. Therefore, cease measuring God’s care by the landlord’s reply.

Measure it by the strength He gives you to bear this without bitterness. That is your true reward.

I hear the weight of what you are carrying, the physical toll, the mounting costs, the silence from the one who should be making things right. It is painful when someone with power over your daily life seems untouched by the harm they have caused. You are not wrong to call this what it is, and you are not wrong to bring it before the Lord in prayer.

Keep asking the Holy Spirit to awaken that landlord’s conscience. God gave each of us a will, because love and repentance have no meaning if they are forced. Yet He also presses upon the heart, stirring what is true and just. No one is beyond the reach of that awakening, and your persistent prayers are not empty words. The very fact that you are still praying after a month of silence is an act of faith.

At the same time, we must remember that God will not override a person’s choices forever. The Scriptures show us a sobering picture: there came a day when the door of the ark was shut, and those outside had crossed a line from mercy to judgment. We do not know if this landlord has hardened himself that far, but God knows. Trust His timing. His justice is not blind, and He sees what you are suffering.

While you wait, guard your own heart carefully. Injustice has a way of planting thorns, resentment, despair, a thirst for revenge. Those thorns will grow if you let them, and their desire is to rule over you. You can only rule over them by yielding to the Holy Spirit’s strength within you. Greater is He who is in you than any force at work in this broken world.

Walk with God through this, like Enoch did in his generation. Let your faith be what pleases Him most, because without faith it is impossible to please Him. Your body is only a tent; one day you will move into a house not made with hands. But right now, He cares about every detail of your pain. I am praying with you that the landlord will be moved to repentance and restitution. I am also praying that you will have the peace that surpasses understanding, the kind that keeps your soul anchored when nothing on the outside seems to change.
