Beloved Warrior
🙌 Reaching out to the actual main pastors who are NOT family yet seem to be brighter lamps, Jn 5:35, may God bless the correspondence. Father, we ask You fan into flame the gifts within them, 2 Tim 1:6, help make the pastor and his wife "on fire" ministers, Heb 1:7. Whether he corresponds with me or not is not important, nor even reconciliation an idol to me in any way, but rather the keeping the commands of God, 1 Cor 7:19, 1 Jn 5:3, communication with the youth, Eph 6:1-4, the converting of her soul, Ps 19:7, Gal 3:24, James 5:19-20, Rev 3:19-20.

I ask she is gently but firmly corrected, and that accountability can be established, order and discipline, as I don't want her to stop going to church or stop bringing the boy to services -- yet don't want him to see sin, compromise, different men frequently, or stumble... Jesus is not confused about such matters, in fact we must think His thoughts after Him, that's how confused we are -- we actually need Instructions... Sin Confronted Gently, Gal 6:1, but seriously, Mt 18:15-17, Lv 19:17, Ezk 3:18, Repentance from Sin, 2 Tim 2:25-26, Salvation Rev 3:19-20, Little One Not to Stumble Mk 9:42, God's Will Next Steps, Col 1:9...

We pray the pastor and church is humble, contrite and trembles at God's Word, Isa 66:2, on exercising church discipline (toward the goal of obedience to all He commanded, Matt 28:20)... The country is "non-confrontational" by nature, and a LOT are prone to be especially guilty of the sin of Eli with not reproving family members 1 Sam 2:12-36, favoring family over God's Word, 1 Sam 3:10-14. Bring the Fear of the Lord the beginning of knowledge, Prov 1:7, the hatred of evil, Prov 8:13, turning away from evil, Job 28:28, using the Scriptures which give wisdom toward salvation, 2 Tim 3:15, and repentance, Mt 18:15, James 5:20). Also we pray they would be serious about sin and avoid the bloodguilt of silence Ezek 3:18-19, Acts 20:26-29, warns female spouse out (and others in open sin) out of fear of God, genuine concern, and love for lost, Mt 18:16-17, Lk 17:3, Lv 19:17, family also obeys God and warns Gal 6:1. Practicing immorality excludes from kingdom 1 Cor 6:9 Rev 21:8 Gal 5:19-20, New Testament forewarns exclusion from entrance into kingdom of God, Gal 5:21...

Thank You this request and its follow through has been and must still be mingled with prayer, fasting and intense mercy, yet not so as to lose the stern frankness and danger to herself, my son and others by continuing in immorality at all, especially while married, Rom 7:2-3, 1 Cor 6:9-10, Rev 2:20, Rev 3:19, Rev 21:8 -- and by endangering the child and softening his moral stance, Matt 18:6, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2, Rev 18:21. Galatians 6:1 "Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted."

🙌Thank You in for hearing prayer in Your will (which is The Bible), and when You hear, we have the requests, 1 Jn 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name. Surely with thanksgiving we make our requests known, that the peace of God that passes understanding may guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20🧎🏽‍♂️

We stand before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet unwavering in our commitment to God’s holy standards. This situation demands our most fervent intercession, for it involves not only the spiritual welfare of individuals but the integrity of Christ’s bride, the Church. The Word of God is clear: sin must be confronted with love, truth, and urgency, lest souls drift into destruction and little ones stumble.

First, we acknowledge the gravity of the sin described, immorality, particularly adultery, which the Scriptures condemn in no uncertain terms. The Lord declares, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). The woman in question is not only endangering her own soul but also modeling ungodliness before her child, risking his spiritual and moral formation. Jesus warned, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea" (Matthew 18:6 WEB). This is not a matter to be taken lightly.

The responsibility of church leadership in this situation is weighty. The pastors must not shrink from their duty out of fear, cultural pressure, or favoritism. The Lord commands, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector" (Matthew 18:15-17 WEB). This is not optional; it is a divine mandate. The silence of Eli, who failed to restrain his sons’ wickedness, led to judgment upon his house (1 Samuel 2:12-36). We must not repeat his error.

We also lift up the pastors and their wives, praying that the Holy Spirit would ignite within them a holy fire for God’s truth. "I remind you to rekindle the gift of God which is in you" (2 Timothy 1:6 WEB). May they tremble at God’s Word (Isaiah 66:2) and have the courage to speak even when it is uncomfortable. The fear of man brings a snare, but the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10). We pray they would not be swayed by cultural norms of non-confrontation but would stand firm in biblical conviction.

For the woman, we pray for godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). May she be restored gently, yet firmly, by those who are spiritual (Galatians 6:1). The goal is not punishment but redemption, "Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted" (Galatians 6:1 WEB). Yet if she persists in unrepentance, the church must act decisively to protect its holiness and the souls under its care.

We also intercede for the child, that he would not be hardened by exposure to sin but would instead see the beauty of godliness. "Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4 WEB). May the church step in with wisdom, providing godly mentorship and a clear moral example.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we may approach Your throne (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We ask that You would move in power, breaking chains of sin and rebellion. Give the pastors boldness to act, the woman a contrite heart, and the child a firm foundation in Your truth. Let Your Word go forth with authority, convicting, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). May this church be a beacon of holiness, not compromising with the world but shining as a city on a hill (Matthew 5:14).

We pray for revival, not just in this congregation but in every church that has grown lax in discipline. Raise up leaders who will shepherd with integrity, confront sin with love, and lead the flock to green pastures. May the fear of the Lord return, and may Your people walk in purity and truth.

Lord, we thank You that You hear us when we pray according to Your will (1 John 5:14-15). We trust in Your promises and stand on Your Word. May Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, in this situation and in every heart touched by it. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with your request, and we can feel the weight you’re carrying, the deep concern for your son, the longing for godly order, and the courage it takes to reach out when family ties can make confrontation so delicate. You’ve already done the hard thing: you’ve put the matter before the pastors, not out of bitterness, but because you genuinely want what’s best for everyone involved. That takes humility and a love for truth, and we want you to know that we see both in your words.

As you wait for the pastors to respond, please be gentle with your own heart. When we care this much, it’s easy to let our peace become tied to outcomes we can’t control. The most grounded thing you can do right now is to keep entrusting this to the One who already knows every hidden thing, while also giving the pastors space to seek God’s direction. They may need time to pray, to discern, and to approach the situation with both courage and compassion. In the meantime, we can ask the Lord to give you a settled confidence that He is at work, even when we can’t see the next step.

We’re also praying specifically for your son, that his heart would be guarded from confusion and harm, and that the people around him would model what it means to walk in integrity. That matters deeply, and it’s right to name it before the Father.

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to You. Give the pastors wisdom and a holy, steady boldness, not to overpower, but to speak the truth in love, with clear eyes and soft hearts. Turn the heart of this woman toward genuine repentance and wholeness, and shield the child from every stumbling block. Grant our friend a deep peace that is not dependent on any human response, but rests in Your faithful, patient governance. We trust You to bring order, protection, and true restoration, in Your time. Amen.

This prayer request, so heavily laden with Scripture, reveals a heart that trembles at God's Word, and that is well. There is a great danger when sin is left to fester in the camp, and a far greater danger when a little one is made to stumble by the open transgression of those who should be examples. The text from Mark is as a millstone about the neck of any who would cause a child to think lightly of God’s commandments. You are right to bring this matter with such intense seriousness, yet we must always take care that our zeal is according to knowledge, lest the wine of our earnestness become vinegar.

I observe in your appeal a pressing for church discipline, and I say, let all be done according to the pattern of the Word. But ah, mark the difference between a repentance that merely fears the judgment of the church and a repentance that gives glory to God. You quote Revelation, where men gnawed their tongues in pain and repented not. That is the sorrow of the world which works death. The repentance we long to see in this woman, and in any caught in a trespass, is that which makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant, and admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart, this is the saving work of the Spirit.

You have cited Ezekiel and the bloodguilt of silence, and that is a solemn charge. But remember, the same Paul who warns of losing the kingdom also instructs, "You who are spiritual should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, watching yourself, lest you also be tempted." When a pastor, or any believer, goes to pluck a brand from the burning, let him go with the tears of a penitent child who lays his head in his father's bosom, not with the harshness of Elijah calling down fire from heaven before the appointed time. There is a kind of rebuke that hardens, and another that melts. Pray for the pastors to have the holy art of setting the cross so plainly before the offender that she abhors her sin not merely for its consequences, but because of the love of Christ which has been slighted. This is evangelical repentance, and nothing short of it will secure her soul’s safety or protect the boy’s conscience from future compromise.

To the point of the "non-confrontational" spirit that favors family over the fear of God, this is indeed the sin of Eli, a softness that brings ruin. Yet let those who are spiritual speak the truth in love, not making Christ a stumbling stone by a graceless delivery. You know, as I do, that many stumble at the Word because they are disobedient; and sometimes a clumsy, unweeping prophet makes the offense harder. The aim is not the public humiliation but the private restoration, as in Luke 17:3. We desire not that she stop attending, but that she would, like the prodigal, come to herself in the Father’s house, not driven from it. Pray that the light of John 5:35, the ministry of faithful men, would shine not with a scorching glare, but with the warm, insistent brightness that makes the way of sin loathsome and the path of holiness delightful.

As for the boy, Christ is able to guard him from stumbling, even amidst this sad scene. The Shepherd may use even this sorrow to teach the child to hate sin with a perfect hatred, seeing how the burnt child dreads the fire. But woe indeed to the one through whom the offense comes. Let your request be mingled with mercy, but also with that stern frankness which says, "This is the way of death; turn from it and live." The repentance which lasts, the practical change that brings forth fruit, is the only evidence of life. And finally, let your own heart rest in this: true repentance is not a plant of our forcing; it is a gift from the exalted Prince and Saviour. Cease not to pray, but watch with hope, for the Lord is able to make the sterile heart fertile and to grant the gem of godly sorrow which is of great price in His sight.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your soul thirsts for righteousness, and that is a holy thirst. The zeal you show for the commands of God, the protection of a little one, the purity of Christ’s body, these are born of the Spirit, and I cannot chide such fire. Yet let me press upon you a few cautions, not to quench that fire but to set it upon a sure hearth.

First, concerning repentance. You rightly desire that this woman be turned from her sin and that the child not be made to stumble. But know that not all tears bring repentance. Esau wept and wailed, and yet found no place for a change of heart, because his grief was not hatred of the sin but sorrow over losing what he craved. If she is to be restored, she must do more than weep; she must turn. Pray then that God grant her a godly grief that works a thorough amendment of life. The door of repentance stands open wide for all who will truly flee their sin. There is no second washing in the laver of baptism, but there is a renewal of the heart by tears, confession, and a broken spirit, this Christ does not despise.

Second, concerning your approach. You heap up many Scriptures, and rightly so, for the word of God is a sharp sword. But remember the Apostle’s rule: “If someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual restore him with a spirit of gentleness, watching yourself lest you also be tempted.” I have often taught that if you cannot thunder from the pulpit, you can yet exhort in private. Prove your faithfulness in that small sphere. Speak to her directly, if you have not done so, not with a flood of citations but with plain truth wrapped in humility. Remind her that the kingdom of God is shut against those who practice immorality, yet open to the penitent thief who turned at the last breath. Let your speech be seasoned with fear and with hope, lest despair harden her or soft words deceive her.

Third, concerning the pastors. You ache to see them act with the courage of Phinehas rather than the cowardice of Eli. This is a holy grief. Pray indeed that the fear of the Lord may seize them, for those who watch for souls must give an account. Yet do not take the whole weight of their negligence upon yourself. You have warned; you have prayed; you have fasted. God is able to rouse them. Sometimes He allows a delay so that the fruit of discipline may be sweeter and more thoroughly His own work. If they remain silent for a time, do not despair of God’s providence. He who saved the three youths from the furnace without a hand raised in their defense can save this little one even in a church where discipline sleeps.

Lastly, concerning your peace. You say reconciliation is not an idol, and I commend that detachment. But guard your heart against a secret bitterness that disguises itself as zeal. The mark of true discipline is love for the offender, not merely hatred of the offense. When you pray, ask also for your own soul, that the very trial may be a furnace to burn away whatever dross clings to you, that you may emerge as gold. The child whom you fear to see stumbling is under the eye of Him who said, “It is not the will of your Father that one of these little ones should perish.” That Father knows how to preserve the child while the grown stumble.

Bear these things manfully, not as one who must undo what has happened, but as one who looks for resurrection. In the resurrection, every crooked thing shall be made straight. Until then, fight with tears, with prayer, with the sword of the Spirit, but ever with the mind of Christ, who came not to condemn the world but to save. I commend your earnestness; let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

You have laid out a matter heavy with the weight of souls. The concern for your son is rightly placed, for we are warned with a millstone around the neck for giving a child a soft and distorted view of sin. When a little one is allowed to witness immorality presented as harmless, his own moral discernment is slowly hollowed out. This is not about embarrassment or social standing; it is about his eternal vision of good and evil.

The goal of any correction must be restoration. When someone is caught in a trespass, those who are spiritual are called to restore that person gently, not to crush them. We go to a brother or sister alone first, not to ambush, but to win them back. The entire painful process described in Matthew 18, bringing witnesses and eventually telling the church, is framed around the hope that they will listen and be saved from the destruction of their own path. Even the final step of removing the protective covering of fellowship is designed so that the person might taste the bitter fruit of their sin and come to their senses. It is not revenge; it is a severe mercy meant to save the spirit in the day of the Lord.

You are right to reject the sin of Eli, who honored his sons above the Lord and would not restrain them. That silence is not peace; it is complicity dressed in cowardice. A non-confrontational culture must tremble at the Word that says to warn the wicked or have their blood required at your hand. Yet in that firmness, we must check our own hearts. We are not exempt from temptation, and we must guard against self-righteousness while we attempt to pluck a brand from the fire. The correction must carry the clean air of holiness, not the stale smell of vindication.

The deeper tragedy here is not just the disruption of order but the way sin acts like leaven. A small measure of tolerated leaven works through the whole lump. If an incestuous relationship was corrupting the entire fellowship at Corinth, the presence of repeated adultery left unchecked will inevitably infect the body’s witness. Purity is the power of the church, and when we beg for the fire of God to rest upon a ministry, we must also ask for the cleansing fire that burns away the dross. God’s grace teaches us to say no to ungodliness, and the instruction of Scripture is given specifically so that we might not sin. To ignore that instruction to spare feelings is to prefer a short-term truce over a long-term soul.

Trust that the ultimate Shepherd loves this wandering sheep far more than you or any pastor could. He stands at the door and knocks, offering fellowship and cleansing. He corrects those He loves. The process you are urging is precisely how He often brings a stubborn heart to the end of itself, so that it sees the broken cisterns for what they are and returns to the fountain of living water. There is nothing confused in the mind of Christ about these matters; He thinks clearly on purity, marriage, and the protection of little ones. It is our own sentiment that muddies the water.

Pray then for these pastors, that they would combine the stern frankness of truth with the tears of mercy. Pray that the root issue is not merely covered over but confessed and forsaken, for to cover sin is to block the path to prosperity. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness, but that promise is for the one who walks in the light, not the one who renames the darkness. Stand firm in the request, mingle it with fasting, and trust that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. The silence of man is not the silence of God.
