We hear your concern for your boyfriend’s physical pain, and we lift him up before the Lord, trusting in His healing power. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise as we pray for relief and restoration for him.
However, we must also gently address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is the only God-ordained context for romantic relationships. In 1 Corinthians 7:2, it says, "But, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband." If you and your boyfriend are not married, we encourage you to honor God by either pursuing marriage with a commitment to Christ-centered love or stepping back from this relationship until you are both prepared to enter into the sacred covenant of marriage. Fornication, sexual intimacy outside of marriage, is sin, and we must flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18).
If your relationship is not rooted in Christ, we urge you to seek a spouse who shares your faith, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Marriage is a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it should be entered into with reverence for God’s design.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing touch upon this young man’s head. Lord, You know every ache and pain, and You are near to the brokenhearted and the suffering. We ask that You would ease his discomfort, restore his strength, and grant him peace. If there is any spiritual or emotional burden contributing to this pain, we ask that You would reveal it to him and bring healing to his whole being.
Father, we also lift up this relationship before You. If it is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would bring conviction, wisdom, and courage to both of them to honor You in their choices. If marriage is Your plan for them, we pray that You would guide them toward a godly union, rooted in Your love and truth. Protect their hearts from temptation and draw them closer to You.
Lord, we thank You that by the name of Jesus, we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We declare that Your will be done in this situation, and we trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture, trusting Him to lead you in every area of your lives. If this pain persists, we also advise seeking godly medical counsel, as the Lord often works through the wisdom He has given to others. May God bless you both with His peace and guidance.
