Boyfriend

We hear your concern for your boyfriend’s physical pain, and we lift him up before the Lord, trusting in His healing power. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise as we pray for relief and restoration for him.

However, we must also gently address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is the only God-ordained context for romantic relationships. In 1 Corinthians 7:2, it says, "But, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband." If you and your boyfriend are not married, we encourage you to honor God by either pursuing marriage with a commitment to Christ-centered love or stepping back from this relationship until you are both prepared to enter into the sacred covenant of marriage. Fornication, sexual intimacy outside of marriage, is sin, and we must flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18).

If your relationship is not rooted in Christ, we urge you to seek a spouse who shares your faith, as 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Marriage is a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it should be entered into with reverence for God’s design.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing touch upon this young man’s head. Lord, You know every ache and pain, and You are near to the brokenhearted and the suffering. We ask that You would ease his discomfort, restore his strength, and grant him peace. If there is any spiritual or emotional burden contributing to this pain, we ask that You would reveal it to him and bring healing to his whole being.

Father, we also lift up this relationship before You. If it is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would bring conviction, wisdom, and courage to both of them to honor You in their choices. If marriage is Your plan for them, we pray that You would guide them toward a godly union, rooted in Your love and truth. Protect their hearts from temptation and draw them closer to You.

Lord, we thank You that by the name of Jesus, we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). We declare that Your will be done in this situation, and we trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture, trusting Him to lead you in every area of your lives. If this pain persists, we also advise seeking godly medical counsel, as the Lord often works through the wisdom He has given to others. May God bless you both with His peace and guidance.

We’re lifting your boyfriend up with you right now. A head that really hurts can wear a person down, and it’s hard to watch someone you care about suffer. Thank you for reaching out so he’s not facing this alone, your love and concern matter more than you might realize.

If the pain is intense or keeps coming back, it would be good for him to see a doctor. They can help pinpoint what’s causing it and offer relief. In the meantime, sitting with him, a cool cloth, or a quiet room may ease things a little, but even just knowing you asked others to pray is a gift.

Lord Jesus, we bring this man before You now. You know exactly what’s happening in his head, the ache, the pressure, whatever is out of balance. We ask for Your merciful touch to ease his pain and bring calm to his body. Give his girlfriend patience and the right words, and guide any medical care that may be needed. In Your name we pray, amen.

It is well that you bring this request, for prayer is the sacred lever that moves the hand of Him who heals all our diseases. A hurting head may seem a small thing, but the Lord who numbers the very hairs of our head is not indifferent to any pain that racks his creatures. The leaves of that Tree which is Christ are for healing, and the least of his mercies is full of restoring power.

Yet let us not forget that the body’s pangs often serve as a merciful alarm, reminding us that the soul, too, stands in need of the Great Physician. Whether this be a simple ailment or a chastening, the remedy is ever the same, carry it at once to Jesus. He who forgave the palsied man and bade him rise, walks still among the candlesticks of his churches, ready to heal.

I shall join with you in supplication that the Lord would lift this pain and grant relief, even as we plead the arguments of his own promises. But oh, that this young man might not only know the Lord’s healing touch upon his temples, but also the sovereign cure of his sin-sick soul! The inhabitant who is forgiven need not say, “I am sick,” for with pardon comes a wholeness that outshines all earthly wellness.

Let us, then, pray not merely for a fleeting calm of the brow, but that both you and he would look to the Crucified One, whose stripes are our true healing. Continue to knock at mercy’s door, for prayer, mighty prayer, will yet prevail if it has but time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for your ###’s headache, and I answer not to dismiss the body’s pain, for mercy bids us bear one another’s burdens. Yet hear what the body’s ailments often preach: when the head throbs from distension and repletion, it is not the belly we should curse, but immoderate living. Luxury gives a fleeting pleasure to the tongue, but afterward come oppression, sleeplessness, and a head bound as with cords. Let this pain become a teacher, a call to sobriety and self-control, for the body’s discipline trains the soul in godliness.

But deeper still, suffering of any kind is an hour of visitation. Pain prostrates the spirit, yet if borne with a conscience pure and without guile, it becomes not merely discomfort but a ground for glorying before God. The delay of relief is not abandonment; it is space for reflection and amendment of life. Let him examine his heart and his ways: is his conscience testifying to a life well-pleasing to God? For the fleeting afflictions of the body are light when set against the weight of eternal honor for those who are in Christ.

Comfort him with the hope that suffering, when offered to God amid repentance, washes away many stains, even as Manasses found mercy after great wickedness. But do not think only of the head’s relief; let this pain pierce the understanding and elevate the mind to think on the last things, lest ease blind the soul. I pray that this trial may brace his spirit, making him more reverent, and that you both may seek the true healing that goes beyond the physician’s art, the healing of the soul through a life yielded to Christ. May your care for him be seasoned with the wisdom that seeks his eternal good above all passing comforts.

Pain has a way of stopping us in our tracks. When it seizes the head, the whole world seems to close in, it is hard to think clearly, to rest, to escape the pounding or the pressure. I am sorry he is suffering right now.

We have a Savior who is not distant from our pain. When Jesus stood at the tomb of Lazarus and saw the grief of Mary and Martha, He was deeply moved. The text tells us He groaned in His spirit and wept. He saw what sin and mortality had done, the sorrow, the aching loss, the physical suffering that invades the human body. He is not indifferent to a headache that will not let go. He who felt the crown of thorns pressed into His own scalp understands the agony of the head. He bore the curse that brought thorns and pain into the world so that He could bring us comfort in the middle of it.

You can cry out to Him together. Ask Him to touch your boyfriend with relief and to ease the pressure in his head. Our weakness is not an obstacle to His care; it is the very thing that draws His compassion. He is the Great Physician, and the body He created knows how to heal. Entrust him to the Lord right now, believing that He hears.

And take heart in this: one day, we will receive a body that knows no pain, no disease, no headache that steals a day’s peace. The old order will pass away. Until then, you can rest in the promise that Jesus carries the suffering for us. He has already borne it all, and He invites you to cast this worry onto Him. I am praying with you that his head will calm, that he will find rest, and that you both will sense the nearness of God who counts your tears and knows your burdens.

Please pray for God to allow my boyfriend to reach his professional goals if it is in His will. Please also pray as I often wish my boyfriend didn't have to work so hard. I wish that somehow he could find work that wouldn't be so draining (he has health concerns that require low stress). Thank you.
