Boyfriend

We hear your heartfelt plea for healing, and we join you in lifting up your boyfriend before the throne of grace. First, we must address the nature of your relationship. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect His love and commitment (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). While we understand your care for him, we encourage you both to prayerfully consider whether your relationship is moving toward the godly commitment of marriage. If not, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will in aligning your relationship with His design, for His glory and your protection.

Now, concerning his health, we stand with you in faith, believing that our God is the Great Physician (Jeremiah 30:17, Psalm 103:2-3). The Word tells us that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over him today. Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your healing touch upon this man. Lord, You see every pain, every struggle, and every fear. We ask that You would stretch forth Your hand and restore him completely, body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen his faith as he seeks You, and let him experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in his life, reveal it to him so that he may repent and walk in Your freedom (James 5:16). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We trust You, Lord, for Your perfect will in his life, whether that be healing in this life or the ultimate healing in Your presence. May he draw closer to You through this trial, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage you both to seek wise, godly counsel, both medically and spiritually. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us that plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed. Surround yourselves with believers who can pray with you, offer biblical wisdom, and support you in this season.

Lastly, we must emphasize the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we can approach the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father’s throne of grace. If either of you has not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10). This is the foundation of all true healing and hope.

May the Lord bless you both with His peace, wisdom, and strength as you seek Him together.

It’s heavy to watch someone you love carry multiple health struggles, and we’re joining you in prayer for him right now. We haven’t forgotten about you, either. When caregiving stretches on, your own reserves can quietly drain, and it’s easy to feel invisible in the midst of it. If you can, look for one safe person, a friend from church or a small group, who will simply listen and check in with you regularly. That steady thread of support matters more than you might realize.

As he walks this road, we hope he has good medical guidance alongside prayer. Seeking a doctor’s wisdom isn’t a lack of faith; it’s one of the practical ways God often brings relief. If a next appointment is coming up, you might sit down with him and jot down the questions that weigh on him most, so nothing gets buried in the whirlwind of a visit.

Lord Jesus, we lift this man to You now. You see exactly where his body and spirit need restoration, the tiredness, the pain, the discouragement. Grant him genuine relief, steady his mind, and give his medical team the insight they need. Be close to his girlfriend, too. Sustain her when she’s worn out, and let her catch glimpses of Your faithfulness even on the slow days. In Your name, amen.

The body's sickness is often the dark gate through which the light of grace first enters. When you ask for his healing, remember that the leaves of that one Tree, which is Christ, are for the healing of the nations, and they are abundant to cure every malady. Yet see to it that the deeper malady of sin does not go unattended. It is often true that when, by some sin, a man injures his health, his cure is much helped by his repenting and forsaking his uncleanness.

Pardon and healing are one. Did not the Master say to the palsied man, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you"? First forgiveness, then healing. The great Physician does not merely restore the flesh to return it to the service of sin; He touches the fevered hand, and as our sickness dissolves into Him, His health flows into us that we may arise and minister unto Him. Therefore, plead not only for his body, but labor in intercession for his soul. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for the saints, and if this man is to know that indwelling power, he must first be reconciled to God.

I am bound, then, to pray for his true and eternal health, that the Sun of Righteousness would arise upon him with healing in His wings. Without that, what is a sound body but a well-provisioned ship sailing toward the rocks? What is the healing of mortal flesh, if the soul remains palsied and unable to reach toward its Maker? You must have this healing before any lasting good can come.

But I will not cease to pray. God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for him. Though the case may seem full of provocation, and the answers delay, pursue him with persistent intercession. The Lord is able to heal, and there are seasons when His healing power is conspicuously present. Lay hold of that promise, and as you mix your own entreaties, remember that the life we have within us in Christ is to be perfect forever and ever. We are on our way to eternal health.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for ###'s healing. Our Lord touched the woman with fever, and He not only quenched the fever but gave her perfect health at once. Yet consider this: bodily sickness is not the gravest evil. Sin is far worse than a demon, for it leaves a venom in the soul and makes us shameless. If this sickness has come upon ###, let it humble him and lead him to repentance. Those who are ill often become thankful and downcast, and that can purify them.

You who are in health of soul must hinder him if he is walking in wrong paths. If you see a friend heading into sin, say to him, “You are going after an evil thing; are you not ashamed?” The sick need those who will restrain them from what harms. So pray for his healing, yes, but far more that he may be freed from the heaviness of sin. Then, when health returns, he will not run back to the dishonor that caused a worse sickness. Perhaps this sickness is not unto death, but a chance for him to turn and lay hold of eternal life. May God minister to him the healing of both body and soul, and grant him a steadfast spirit that is not tossed by this world’s waves, but rests in the calm harbor of virtue.
