Good and Faithful Servant
My boyfriend has been having prostate issues and visited his urologist today. He was given some not so good news. Please pray for him and about the situation as a whole - for healing. Pray that I will be a suitable support for him. He has to have more tests done now based on what he was told. I'm so worried that all these problems he's experiencing are my fault for multiple reasons. Please pray about this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the deep concern you carry for your boyfriend’s health and well-being. First, we want to gently address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design. The Bible calls this fornication, and it is a sin that grieves the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We encourage you both to honor God by either pursuing marriage with a commitment to purity or stepping back from this relationship until you are in a position to honor Him fully. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it is the only context in which physical intimacy is blessed by God (Hebrews 13:4).

Now, let us lift up your boyfriend’s health to the Lord. We serve a God who hears our cries and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The news he received is concerning, but we know that God is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him (Jeremiah 32:27). We rebuke fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare healing over his body and trust that the Lord will guide the hands of the medical professionals treating him.

We also want to address the guilt you are carrying. It is not biblical to assume responsibility for his health struggles. Our God is sovereign, and He allows trials in our lives to draw us closer to Him, not to punish us for past mistakes (James 1:2-4). We encourage you to release this burden of guilt and trust that God is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Your role now is to be a source of support, encouragement, and prayer for him, pointing him to Christ in this difficult time.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names. Lord, we lift up this dear brother to You, asking for Your healing touch to be upon him. You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore his health. Guide the doctors and medical professionals as they conduct further tests, and give them wisdom to understand what is happening in his body. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke any spirit of fear or sickness in Jesus’ name.

Father, we also lift up this sister who is carrying a heavy burden of guilt. Lord, we ask that You would free her from this weight and remind her of Your grace and forgiveness. Help her to see herself as You see her, beloved and redeemed. Give her the strength to be a godly support to her boyfriend, pointing him to You in this time of need. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would bring them into a relationship that honors You, one that is built on Your principles and guided by Your Spirit.

Lord, we ask that You would draw them both closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your face and find comfort in Your Word. We pray for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We trust in You and Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to seek the Lord together, spending time in prayer and reading His Word. Trials can either drive us away from God or draw us nearer to Him. Choose to draw near, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). This is the first and most important step in living a life that honors God.

We’re so glad you reached out. That kind of news lands heavy, and the waiting for more tests can be its own difficult road. It’s clear he matters deeply to you, and your desire to be a solid support says a lot about your heart.

First, we want to gently address something you mentioned, the worry that this might somehow be your fault. When someone we love is hurting, our minds often go searching for reasons, turning inward with accusations we were never meant to carry. Very often, what feels like blame is just fear wearing a mask. Unless you caused harm through deliberate wrongdoing, that guilt isn’t yours to hold. Please don’t let it isolate you or sap the steadiness you’re trying to offer him. You are not the cause of his prostate issues. The most helpful thing right now is simply being present, a calm, listening, non-anxious companion as the next steps unfold.

As he faces more tests, your steady company matters more than having the perfect words. Offer to sit with him, help with small practical things, or just be there when he wants to talk. You don’t have to fix the situation; being a kind, faithful presence is real support. Take care of your own spirit too, carrying his burden plus self-blame is too heavy for any of us.

Let’s pray: Father, we bring this couple before You in Jesus’ name. Please grant healing to this man’s body, wisdom for his doctors, and clear direction from the tests ahead. Quiet the anxiety that hangs in the waiting, and surround him with Your peace. We ask You to lift the false guilt off our friend’s shoulders, replace it with the quiet confidence that Your grace covers all our fears and that her loving presence is a gift, not a cause for blame. Give her strength to be the support she longs to be, and draw both of them close to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The guilt you carry is a false burden. You write as though his affliction were a mark upon your soul, and that is a lie whispered by the enemy of all rest. If you have trusted Christ for pardon, your sins are forgiven you, the guilt is gone, the debt is paid, and the power of sin is broken. The Spirit removes the guile that would hide this truth from your heart, and there is no place for this self-accusation. The matchless Atonement covers all guilt, and you are among the blessed if you receive it. Stop searching your own heart for reasons to bear what Christ has already carried, for that is not humility but unbelief disguising itself.

Turn now to the healing leaves that grow upon the Tree of Life. The least thing about Christ, the very edges of His garment, is full of healing virtue for body and soul. His power to restore is not diminished, and it reaches the prostate, the heart, the anxious mind, and the broken spirit alike. Pardon and healing are joined in His hand. When Jesus sees the sick, He speaks forgiveness, and in that word is the root of every cure. Pray, then, with confidence that the Lord who healed all that had need of healing will visit your boyfriend with times of refreshing. His body and his soul both lie within the reach of the Great Physician.

Be a living epistle of this truth as you stand beside him. The impulse of pardoning love produces far more than the grim determination of guilt. If you would be a suitable support, let him see in you a soul at rest in the old paths, the good way. You cannot bind up his wounds if your own are bleeding self-inflicted sorrow. Cast that weight upon the Lord, for He alone heals the broken in heart. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin, and it washes away even the false and morbid fears that afflict the conscience. Believe this, and then with a clear eye and a steady hand, you may point him to the same fountain.

Your anxiety for your boyfriend’s health is natural, and I join my prayers to yours that the Lord, who fashioned the body and knows its every affliction, would grant him healing and wisdom for his physicians. Yet why do you say these problems might be your fault? Has your conscience whispered something deeper? For if you are joined outside the bond of matrimony, then indeed you have cause not merely for worry over the flesh, but for holy fear concerning the soul.

The sickness of the body often serves to rouse us from the far more dangerous lethargy of sin. I do not say this to wound you, but because the physician who hides the wound offers no cure. Examine your life: do you live in a manner that pleases God? If not, then the most needful healing is not of the ###, but of the heart.

Repentance and separation from every unholy entanglement will bring more relief to your conscience than any reassurance from a doctor. Let this trial be a call to order your household according to the pattern of Christ, who blesses only that union which reflects His own faithful love for the Church, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Then, having set things right, you may stand before God with confidence, and your prayers for his body will rise unhindered. I will pray that both of you find grace to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, knowing that when the soul is in health, the body’s afflictions are borne with peace.

It is a dangerous and heavy thing to carry the weight of guilt that was never yours to bear. When you say you are worried these problems are your fault, I want you to stop and examine that thought carefully. Scripture shows us a pattern where guilt creates a subconscious desire for punishment. We feel that if we can just suffer enough, or blame ourselves enough, we might somehow atone. But that is a trap, and it is not the freedom Jesus offers. The truth is, taking responsibility for something that belongs to God alone, like the secret workings of another person’s body, is a false burden. You cannot cause or control cellular processes in another person through some past action. If there are specific sins you need to confess to the Lord, then do so, and receive His complete cleansing. The gospel does what no human effort can do: it erases the haunting feeling of guilt. He took your guilt and bore it on the cross so you could be relieved of it, not so you could pick up a new load of false responsibility.

Lay that down right now. The bones He has broken will rejoice when you stop trying to pay a price He already paid in full.

Now, regarding your boyfriend and his health, we must pray with honest faith. I do believe in healing, and I believe that Jesus Christ is the same today, able to heal every sickness. But we also must hold to what is scriptural. We cannot presume that God wills physical healing in every single case, because sometimes, as with the apostle Paul and his thorn in the flesh, God’s answer is not the removal of the infirmity but the sufficiency of His grace. That does not mean we stop asking boldly for mercy and for the full restoration of his prostate. It means we trust the One who designed the body’s own intricate processes. Any healing, whether it comes overnight or through the gradual processes God set within nature and guided by doctors, is still a divine healing. Pray for the wisdom of the urologist, for clarity from the upcoming tests, and for God’s hand to be upon every aspect of his treatment.

At the same time, ask for the kind of healing that transcends a single organ. Pray for the healing of his mind and emotions against the fear of a bad report. That is a real and powerful work of God. Your role as a support is not to be a perfect, guilt-ridden savior. You cannot carry his physical burden, but you can be a steady presence. The best support you can give is to point him away from the anxiety of the unknown and toward the character of God, who is merciful. Do not let the enemy isolate either of you in your own worries, but stand together, bringing this before the Lord, who knows what it is to bear our griefs and carry our sorrows.

Please pray for my boyfriend's health. He is not feeling well today. He also has a prostate issue that has been aggravated in the past few weeks (and likely made worse due to our job - we work together - due to a number of reasons). I'm so worried about him. Thank you.
