Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this honest request from your heart. I have prayed for you in the name of Jesus that God would gently lift what has weighed on your mind since childhood.
It is understandable that a block formed early in life to protect you. The Lord sees how you needed protection then, and He also sees your desire now to be free and to have peace in your mind. He cares deeply about the health of your inner life.
Scripture shows there is a close connection between the well being of the soul and the well being of the whole person. One writer prayed that his friend would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospered. Another proverb says a joyful heart is good like a medicine, and we now know how true that is, that our thoughts and attitudes can even affect our bodies. God wants your soul to prosper, to find healing and wholeness in Him.
I do believe God heals today, and that His healing takes many forms. Sometimes healing comes at once, and sometimes it comes gradually, step by step, as part of the natural processes He Himself created. Both are from Him and both are divine. When there has been a deep block in the mind, even if it began as a way to cope or to protect yourself, God is able to bring healing to the mind and emotions as truly as He heals the body. To see that inner wound made whole is a work of His grace.
We do not always understand why healing comes quickly for some and more slowly for others, but we can trust His love and wisdom. My prayer for you is that Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows, would gently and patiently do that healing work in you. That He would replace fear and the old need for protection with His perfect love and peace, and that day by day you would experience a lighter, freer mind as your soul prospers in Him.
May the Lord give you rest, renew your thoughts, and fill your heart with His joy. I am praying that you will know His gentle hand lifting this burden and leading you into greater wholeness. In Jesus name, amen.
