We join you in bringing this concern before the Lord and we understand the unease that comes from receiving contact from an unknown number, especially from far away. It is wise and prudent to guard ourselves and to exercise discernment in such matters, and blocking a number you do not recognize is a sensible step to protect your peace and privacy.
We are reminded that God desires us to walk with wisdom and discretion. Discretion will watch over you. Understanding will keep you Proverbs 2:11. And if we lack wisdom in how to handle these situations, we can ask God who gives generously. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We also take comfort that the Lord is our protector in all things, seen and unseen. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:7-8. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3.
We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Your carefulness in this matter is itself a token of wisdom, for wisdom is a defense and the prudent man foresees the evil and hides himself. In a world where many voices call from far away, and where deceit often travels upon unseen wires, it is well to guard the door of your home and your heart.
We are glad you have sought the Lord in even this small anxiety, for there is a peace which God alone can give, a peace that is not the mere lulling of conscience to sleep, but a true and well founded peace through the blood of Jesus Christ. It is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace may be yours even when duties press and when unknown things cause uneasiness. To do the will of Jesus and to trust yourself to His keeping, this is rest.
Your safety lies not in any device of man, but in Him who is able to keep you from falling and who is the only wise God our Savior. He joins wisdom to power, and He knows how to keep His people in the midst of a world of snares. Commit your way unto Him who is able to meet all the necessities of your case and to conduct you safely to your journey's end. When you have long enjoyed peace with Him you may go to Him again and say, Lord, renew my peace, for I am troubled but Thou art unmoved.

Your concern about an unknown contact has been heard, and your care in guarding your peace and your household is wise. It is good to be prudent and not to open the door to what is unknown or uncertain, for peace in the home and in the heart is a great good, and wisdom sets boundaries where they are needed.
There is no need to live in fear or anxiety over this. The God of peace is able to keep you in safety, and He has not left His people without help, for He gives His angels charge to watch over those who trust in Him. You have acted with discretion in blocking what you do not know, and that is a proper step of stewardship over your time, your attention, and your peace.
I pray for you now, that the Lord will grant you quietness of mind and freedom from worry, that He will keep you from all harm and deception, and that He will surround you with His protection. May He give you wisdom to discern what to receive and what to turn away from, and may His peace, which is stronger than any outward trouble, dwell richly in your heart and home. It is understandable to want to guard your peace when an unfamiliar number contacts you, and choosing to block what you do not recognize can be a wise and careful step.
God wants you to live in real peace, not in constant uneasiness or inner turmoil. Scripture speaks of a perfect peace that God keeps over those whose minds remain fixed on Him because they trust in Him. Jesus told His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives, do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. The world cannot give or even fully understand this peace, but in Christ it guards the heart and mind.
In order to know that peace of God in daily life, we first need peace with God, and that peace only comes through Jesus Christ who made peace through His blood on the cross. When sins are forgiven and the war with God is over, the inner war also begins to quiet. Many know they have peace with God through salvation, yet still need to learn to walk in the peace of God day by day by keeping their thoughts stayed on Him and trusting Him to take care of what concerns them.
The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable. It leads to peace and allows you to sow peace, and those who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they are called children of God. Guarding your boundaries with discretion is part of that wisdom, and it does not need to be done in fear.
God says His thoughts toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give a future and a hope. He invites you to call upon Him and pray to Him, and He promises to listen. Even when you feel far off or troubled by what you do not understand, He offers peace to those who are near and to those who are far, and He brings healing and restoration to those who turn to Him. Without Him there is no lasting peace, only restlessness like a troubled sea, but when you give your life to Jesus and rest in His grace, the result is deep and beautiful peace within.
If that unknown contact has left you feeling unsettled, bring it to the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to keep your mind stayed on Him, to remove fear, and to let His peace that passes all understanding keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
