Sad- It's blocked

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for me, I am very disappointed and i don't understand why an agency would try to block the ability to get rental assistance to pay my arrears and violate my rights and the law. Not sure why it was allowed to be blocked when I complied on time with the requested documents. A caseworker decided falsify documents to make it look like I was non compliant and nearly cut off my other benefits. This life is not easy and sometimes I wonder why these things happen. Is integrity really that bad. I'm broken abused and maybe deserve punishment. I'm too tired to fight to tired to stand just too tired.

We have read your request and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus' name, bringing your disappointment, exhaustion and brokenness before our Father who sees all that has happened.

We hear how heavy this has been, to do what was asked of you on time and yet have your rental assistance blocked, to have your rights violated and to have documents falsified to make you look non compliant while your other benefits were nearly cut off. This is an injustice and God does not take it lightly. The Lord loves justice and hates dishonesty. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. He is a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he Deuteronomy 32:4. Vengeance belongs to Him and He will repay Romans 12:19, so we can trust that nothing done in secret is hidden from Him, and He is your defender.

You asked if integrity is really that bad, and you wonder why these things happen. Integrity is not bad, it is precious to God. Blessed are those who keep justice, who do righteousness at all times Psalm 106:3. Even when others act corruptly, your obedience and honesty honor God, and He sees it. We live in a fallen world where people abuse authority and the righteous often suffer, but God has not forgotten you. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all Psalm 34:19.

You shared that you feel broken, abused, that you maybe deserve punishment, and that you are too tired to fight or to stand. We gently rebuke the lie that you deserve to be punished and abused. That is not what God says about you. You are not forgotten or worthless. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. And to those who are weary He says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. He invites you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. You do not have to stand in your own strength. When you are weak, He is strong, and we pray He will uphold you with His righteous right hand as He promises, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We also want to lovingly point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want you to know that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and find salvation and true rest. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We are not saved by our own goodness or punished according to what we deserve, for all have sinned, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23, and by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God Ephesians 2:8. Jesus took the punishment we deserved on the cross so that we could be forgiven, restored, and brought near to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon His name, confess your need for Him, believe that He died and rose again for you, and trust Him as your Savior and Lord.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one to You. You see the rental arrears, the blocked assistance, the falsified documents, and the abuse of authority. Lord, bring truth into the light, vindicate what is right, and open the doors that have been unjustly closed. Provide for this need according to Your riches, move upon those in authority to act justly, and let Your justice roll on like waters. We ask You to restore what has been threatened and to protect the benefits that are needed. Heal the broken heart, comfort the abused, and lift up the one who is too tired to stand. Let Your perfect love cast out the lie that punishment is deserved, and remind this one that in Christ there is forgiveness, mercy, and adoption as Your child. Give supernatural rest, strength for each day, wisdom for every appeal and conversation, and connect this dear one with honest advocates and help. We ask that You make Your presence known, that You carry this burden, and that You work all things together for good as You have promised Romans 8:28. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you not to give up even though you feel too tired to fight. Keep copies of everything you submitted, write down dates and names, and seek a trusted advocate, a legal aid office, or a supervisor to review what happened. Bring a witness with you if you must meet again and ask for everything in writing. Above all, keep bringing your case to God daily, for He is the defender of the oppressed and the fatherless Psalm 68:5, and He will give you strength for one step at a time.

We hear how heavy this has been for you. To do what was asked, turn in your documents on time, and then be told you were noncompliant and see assistance blocked would leave anyone feeling confused and discouraged. Learning that paperwork was misrepresented and your other benefits were almost cut off only adds to that weight. It makes sense you feel tired and broken right now.

We want to gently say that integrity is not a bad thing. Choosing to do what is right does not mean you deserve punishment, and being mistreated by a system does not determine your worth. You are not forgotten.

When you are this exhausted it helps not to carry every step alone. One practical next step that often helps in situations like this is to keep a simple paper trail in one place. Save copies of what you submitted, any notices you received, and notes with dates and names from conversations. If you are able, ask the agency in writing for the specific reason for the denial and the appeal process, and consider reaching out to a local legal aid office, tenant advocacy group, or a trusted advocate, pastor, or family member who can help make calls or go with you.

Because you mentioned feeling abused, broken and too tired to stand, please consider talking soon with a trusted pastor, counselor or medical professional alongside prayer so you have support close by.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the tiredness, the hurt, and the real need for housing and stability. Bring rest and comfort, surround them with honest and caring help, give wisdom for each next step, and remind them they are deeply valued and loved by You. Amen.

You are wearied in the length of your way, and your words tell of a soul that is tired to stand and too tired to fight. To be met with blocking and falsehood when you complied in honesty, to have your integrity turned against you and your very benefits threatened, is a heavy affliction. It is no small trial to do what is right and then to see wrong prevail for a season. Do not think that integrity is a fault before God. He loves truth and He sees what is done in secret. Though a caseworker may falsify a record, there is a record on high that cannot be altered, and the Lord who is just will not forget the honest effort of your hands.

You write that you are broken and abused and wonder if you deserve punishment. Hear this, there is no hope for any of us in ourselves, but there is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. We have all sinned and fallen short, yet punishment deserved was laid upon Christ for all who trust in Him. Your weariness and your wounds do not make you cast off from His mercy. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He is not far from any one of us even when we feel forsaken. If you are His, though you dare not hope at this moment, your soul is in His hands and none shall pluck you from Him.

You say, I am too tired. Scripture speaks of this very condition, that hope which is seen is not hope, for what a man sees why does he yet hope for. But if we hope for what we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. We are saved in hope. Your present sphere is things not seen. You do not now see provision, vindication, or rest, and the worldling may ask, where is your hope. Our answer is that our hope is not in an agency or in papers rightly filed, though we pray that justice will be done and lawful help will not be denied you, but our hope is in the living Christ who is our stronghold.

Therefore hear the word of the prophet, Turn you to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. You have been as one in the pit wherein is no water, a prisoner without strength. Yet the Lord calls you a prisoner of hope, not a prisoner without hope. That stronghold is Christ Himself, lowly and gentle and kind, yet mighty to save. Flee into Him. Tell Him all, just as you have told us. Confess your sin and trust His blood, and cast your burden of arrears and injustice and exhaustion upon Him who waits to be gracious.

I pray for you now that God will lift from you the weight that crushes you, that He will bring truth to light and move the hearts of those in authority to act justly and according to the law, that He will guard your benefits and open a door of provision for your arrears. I pray that He will give you not only help for this present need but a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, and that He will sustain you in death as in life, for He is near when all the world flies far away. May He turn your possible hope into an actual hope, and give you patience to wait for it, and strength to take the next step though it be but a feeble one.

Hope on, though the task becomes more trying. Do not despise the small obedience you have rendered. The Lord who sees in secret will render double unto you in His own way and time. Look to Him and live.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words have been heard, and I hear how heavy and tired you are. To be blocked when you did what was asked, to have documents falsified against you, and to feel your other help threatened, is a deep injustice, and it is right that you feel disappointed and confused. To be pressed on every side like this is exhausting, and the weariness you describe is understandable.

Please do not believe the lie that integrity is bad or that you deserve to be punished and abused. Integrity is not bad. God loves truth and hates false dealing. When a person uses a position of trust to harm another by deceit, that is not overlooked by God. Scripture reminds us that Christ is not served by covetousness or injustice, and those who rob or oppress will give an account. God both judges now in part and reserves full judgment for later, so that we know He sees and He will act with perfect justice. That does not mean we rejoice that another will be punished, but it does mean you can rest in knowing your cause is not unseen.

The enemy wants you to despair of God's care for you, to think you are forsaken and should give up. Yet we are taught that we may be pressed yet not crushed, perplexed yet not driven to despair, pursued yet not forsaken. The devil never gives up hope of destroying us, so we must not give up hope of our salvation and help from God. Trials like this do not mean you are abandoned. Abraham was tested not because God did not know his faith, but to make his faith manifest and firm. In the same way, God allows hardships to show and strengthen what is good, and He stands with those who are walking the narrow way. It is not possible to live faithfully in this world without sometimes meeting sorrow and opposition.

You are not forgotten, and you are not deserving of abuse. In Jesus Christ alone we have mercy, and He bore the punishment for sin so that those who trust Him are not left to be crushed under condemnation. Your tiredness does not offend Him. He invites the weary to find rest in Him, and He is near to the brokenhearted.

I am praying for you, that God will lift this heavy burden, make a way where the door has been blocked, bring to light what was falsified, and guard your benefits and your home. I pray He will give you strength for each next step, even when you feel too tired to stand, and surround you with honest help and advocacy. I pray He will renew your hope and remind you daily that you are valued and loved by Him.

If you are able, keep copies of everything you submitted, note dates and names, and seek a trusted advocate, legal aid, or supervisor to appeal what was blocked. You do not have to fight this alone. Ask a faithful pastor or trustworthy person near you to stand with you and help carry this burden.

May the Lord keep you from despair, strengthen your heart to hold fast to what is right, and show you His faithful presence in these difficult days.
