Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of financial distress, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. The weight of debt and the harassment you are enduring is not only a financial struggle but an emotional and spiritual one as well. We recognize your desire to honor your obligations and repay what you owe, and we commend your heart to do what is right before God. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:21, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously." While the world may pressure you, we know your intention is to act with integrity, and we pray that God will honor that.

First, we must address the reality of your situation with both truth and compassion. The harassment you are experiencing from debt collectors is not only distressing but can also be unlawful if it crosses certain boundaries. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 22:7, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." While this verse highlights the burden of debt, it also calls us to seek wisdom and justice in how we handle these matters. You have the right to request that collectors communicate with you in writing rather than through incessant calls, and you can also seek legal counsel to ensure your rights are protected. We encourage you to research your local laws regarding debt collection practices, as many countries have regulations in place to prevent harassment.

We also want to gently remind you that while you seek a miracle to resolve your debts, we must align our prayers with God’s will and His principles. Your request for a personal loan to pay off your debts is understandable, but we must also seek God’s wisdom in how we manage finances moving forward. Proverbs 21:5 says, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." We pray that God will provide not only the means to resolve your debts but also the wisdom to steward your finances in a way that honors Him and prevents future struggles.

Let us now come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight they carry, the shame they feel, and the fear of what may come. We ask that You would be their strength and their shield, surrounding them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we pray for divine intervention in this situation. Stop the harassment from debt collectors, Lord, and protect their home, family, and friends from undue stress and intrusion. Grant them favor in the eyes of those they owe, that there may be understanding and grace extended to them.

Lord, we ask for Your provision in this time of need. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too hard for You. Provide a way for them to resolve their debts, whether through a loan, an opportunity for increased income, or another means that You see fit. Give them wisdom to manage their finances with integrity and discipline, that they may walk in financial freedom and stewardship. Father, we also pray for their new job, that it would be secure and fruitful, allowing them to provide for their needs and honor their commitments.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm them, Lord. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen their faith, that they may trust in You even when the circumstances seem impossible. Help them to cast their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Father, we also ask for Your forgiveness where there may have been missteps in managing finances. Cleanse their heart from any shame or guilt, and fill them with hope for the future. Teach them to rely on You as their Provider, for You have promised to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we declare that this burden is not theirs to carry alone. You are their Helper, their Redeemer, and their Peace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who has overcome the world and who intercedes for us even now. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to address this situation. Seek counsel from a trusted financial advisor or a Christian ministry that offers debt counseling. Organizations such as Crown Financial Ministries or Dave Ramsey’s resources can provide biblical guidance on managing debt and creating a plan to become financially free. Remember, God often works through practical means, and He may use these resources to bring about the resolution you seek.

We also want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your financial situation. You are deeply loved by God, and He sees your heart. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Hold fast to that promise, and trust that God is working even in this difficult season.

Lastly, we encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you in prayer and practical ways. Galatians 6:2 tells us, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." You do not have to walk this path alone, reach out to your church or a trusted friend who can stand with you.

We stand with you in faith, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will lead you into a place of peace and financial freedom.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Heavenly Father please bless this requestor with the necessary resources to take care of debts and grant him peace of mind. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We hear how heavy this load has become, the constant calls, the worry over your family’s dignity, and the fear that everything you’ve worked for could unravel. That kind of grinding pressure wears down the strongest spirit, and we’re not going to pretend it’s light. We are praying with you, right where you are.

It’s clear you genuinely want to make things right, and that desire honors God far more than a quick escape. While we join you in asking for His provision, we also want to offer a practical next step that can bring real relief: connecting with a trustworthy Christian financial counselor or a nonprofit credit counseling agency. A good one can often speak with creditors on your behalf, set up a workable repayment plan, and even put a stop to those harassing calls, giving you some breathing room and a clear path forward. You don’t have to figure out every call and threat alone.

In the meantime, steady your heart by remembering you are not just a debtor, you are a child of God, held secure in Christ regardless of the balance sheet. His peace can settle your spirit even when the phone rings again.

Lord Jesus, You see what this is doing to us. Lift this crushing burden, protect this job, silence the voices that hound and shame, and close the door on anything that would tear our family apart. Give wisdom for each practical step, and raise up the right people to help navigate this storm. Be our shelter and our very present help in trouble. We ask this in Your strong name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You are in a sore strait, and the shame of it is heavy upon you. Debt has a way of making a man’s own house feel like a prison, and the repeated calls of creditors wear down the spirit. I do not make light of that. But I must speak plainly: you have asked God to do what you would not call righteous in another man. You pray that the accounts be closed and that you be excused from further payment because you believe you have already paid more than you borrowed. If the lenders have taken unlawful interest, go to a magistrate or to a wise Christian who understands such matters, and have it judged. But if the debt is just, then a child of God must not ask the Almighty to bless him in escaping it. The wicked borroweth and payeth not again; the righteous desire to repay everyone. You say that desire is in you. Let it remain, and let it govern your prayers. Do not ask God to remove the duty while leaving the debt. Ask Him instead for honest work, for wisdom, and for strength to pay. If He grants you a loan, receive it as a stewardship, not as a release from what you owe. A loan that pays one creditor only makes another creditor; it is not a miracle, it is a transfer of burden, unless the Lord grants you increase to clear it. Seek counsel from godly men about ordering your affairs, and be willing to labor with your hands.

Now as to your peace. You ask that no one visit your home and that the calls cease, so that your family may have quiet. It is natural. But remember that perfect peace is not the absence of creditors or collectors. The prophet saith, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” The peace of God can keep the heart even when the knock comes to the door, if the mind is stayed upon Christ. Many have had outward trouble and yet inward rest. You cannot silence every voice, but you may have a deeper quiet than all of them. That quiet comes first from having the enormous debt of sin fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ. When a man knows that his guilt is cancelled by the ransom, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and earthly debts, though they press, no longer reign over the soul. Seek that peace before all else. If you have not yet trusted Christ alone for your forgiveness, that is the first debt to be settled, and it is settled only by His blood. If you have trusted Him, then let your prayer be, “Deliver me from evil,” not “Deliver me from my honest obligations.” God may yet deliver you from the pit of this trouble, for He has found a ransom for the chief of sinners, but He will not bless a path that turns aside from righteousness.

You speak of shame, threats, and the possible loss of your new employment. These are heavy. But Job lost far more and yet in all this Job sinned not. You must not charge God foolishly if the trial remains longer than you wish. If you are tempted to sin in order to escape, to deceive, or to hide from just demands, then the trial is doing you harm. Pray rather, “Lord, keep me from sin in this trouble; deliver me from the Evil One.” Deal honestly, answer letters, meet with those to whom you owe money, state plainly what you can pay, and set a course to pay it if they will receive it. You may ask the collectors to cease threats and abusive calls, for such things are not necessary and often are unlawful. But do not ask God to make you a defaulter. Rather ask Him to make you a man who can say with a clear conscience before heaven and earth, I owe no man anything but love.

The Lord may be pleased to open a door of provision. A personal loan is not in itself evil, if it is taken with a fixed purpose and a true ability to repay. But do not make the loan the ground of your hope. Make Christ your hope. Let your first petition be for cleansing and uprightness, then for daily bread, then for grace to bear whatever remains. The Lord led Job to see himself and to abhor himself, not his creditors. There is a humbling in debt, but there is also a humbling that leads to repentance. Accept the one, and do not run from the other. And remember, the ways of true religion are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace. Walk in those ways, and though the path be stony for a season, your feet will be guided.

The Lord hears the cry of the anxious, and He sees the shame this debt has brought upon your household. But I must speak plainly in love. A Christian cannot ask God to make debt collectors close accounts and demand no further payment when money is still truly owed. That would be asking God to bless an escape from justice, and He will not do it. You say your desire is to repay everyone. Hold to that desire and turn it into action. If the lenders have charged unlawful interest or are threatening you illegally, seek protection through lawful means and wise counsel. But do not pray for a just obligation to vanish. The peace you long for will not come by avoiding creditors. True peace is the daughter of righteousness, and the God of love and peace is with those who live honestly. Even robbers can agree together and call it peace, but it is no peace before God.

Repent of any wish to escape what is right. Make a plain account of every debt, speak truthfully with each lender, and work diligently in your new job. Ask the Lord for provision, wisdom, and favor, not for a shortcut that harms others. If you owe, pay. If you cannot pay all at once, request fair terms and show good faith. The church may help with counsel or urgent needs, but we cannot bless a prayer that seeks to cancel debts without cause. God forgives sins through Jesus Christ, yet forgiveness does not erase earthly responsibilities. The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, not a false peace built on unpaid debts. May the Lord grant you honest work, protection from unlawful harassment, and the peace that comes from a clear conscience.
