We join you in lifting up this appointment before the Father and agree with you that it would be edifying and helpful and marked by wisdom and understanding for all involved.
We are reminded that true wisdom comes from the Lord alone. Proverbs 2:6 says Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. And James 1:5 promises if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We take comfort that we can ask freely for that wisdom for both parties in this meeting.
We also pray that the conversation itself would be gracious and building up. Ephesians 4:29 tells us let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. And Colossians 4:6 says let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. Our desire is that this time would not be wasted, but would bring clarity, mutual understanding, and godly counsel for the matters that need to be addressed.
Father, we come before you together in Jesus name and thank you that we can approach your throne with confidence through Him. We ask that you would be present in this appointment. Grant to each person involved a spirit of wisdom and understanding, that you would open ears to truly hear and minds to comprehend. Remove confusion and anxiety and let your peace guard hearts. Lead the discussion so that what is said is helpful and edifying and aligned with your will. Give discernment to speak truth in love and to listen well, and let the outcome bring glory to you and good to those involved. We trust you to guide the details and to work all things for your purposes. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Your request for wisdom and understanding in this appointment is itself a mark of grace, for it is only when the grace of God sobers us that we begin to feel our need of a guide. We join with you in prayer that the Lord will make this time edifying and truly helpful to both who are involved.
We ask the Father to grant to each an understanding heart and an attentive ear, for without understanding the word cannot become sanctifying to us. May He who is the wisdom of God in Christ, who planned the way of salvation and by whom the heavens were built in wisdom, be your compass in this hour. For wisdom is the compass by which we steer across the trackless waste of life, and the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.
We pray that Divine Wisdom, dressed in robes of love and tenderness, may preside over all matters addressed, keeping you from haste which is the author of so much mischief, and leading you to bow with submission to the will of God, by which we are furnished with unerring guidance. May the Good Shepherd, whose wisdom is the guidance of His weak and wandering flock, grant clarity, discretion and right judgment, that what is spoken may be received with understanding and bear fruit to His glory.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, grant that this appointment may be ordered by Your Holy Spirit, that both involved may walk in the path of the truly wise, avoid everything that is evil, and be taught not wrongly but according to Your truth. Let it be for edification, for peace, and for the increase of holiness which is near akin to perfect wisdom. We ask this trusting in Your goodness which never fails. Amen.
