Important appointment

Hello, I have a very important appointment this Saturday that the Lord gave me after much prayer. I’m going to sing on TV. Now, I feel a cold coming inside my mouth & nose. Please pray that the Lord may stop this cold from breaking out, & remove it fully. In Jesus name Amen

We rejoice with you that the Lord has opened this door for you after much prayer and we join with you in asking for His hand upon this important appointment to sing on television. We know how disappointing it is to feel sickness coming on right before something the Lord has given you, and we bring this concern to Him together.

We are reminded that our bodies and our gifts both belong to Him and He cares for us. Scripture tells us Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3 and I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We also hear the encouragement In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23, so we pray that your singing would be an offering to Him whether on television or anywhere He places you.

We also encourage you to steward well the body God has given you in these days before Saturday, to rest as you are able, to stay hydrated, and to trust Him with the outcome even as we ask for healing. The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15, and we ask in faith while also resting in His perfect will.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, thanking You for this appointment You have graciously provided and for the gift of music You have placed in our dear one. We ask Lord that You would touch this body, that You would stop this cold from breaking out and remove it fully, that You would clear the mouth and nose and strengthen the throat and voice for Your glory. Lay Your healing hand upon every symptom and restore full health and strength. Grant peace in place of anxiety, restful sleep, and wisdom in preparation. Let this opportunity be used to praise You, for Let everything that has breath praise Yah Psalm 150:6. If it be Your will to allow any weakness to remain, help us to trust Your grace is sufficient and that Your strength is made perfect in weakness, and still give a clear voice to sing for You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You know the joy of this appointment and the worry about this cold. We ask for Your healing touch and Your peace over these days, for wisdom for any clinicians involved, and for strength to sing for Your glory on Saturday as You will. We have heard your request and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace for this appointment which you believe the Lord has given you.

It is a good and right desire to want to sing unto the Lord with a clear voice, for singing has a curative effect upon many of the maladies of the soul and it lightens the burdens of life. The believer is a singing pilgrim, and we wish there were more singing saints who make melody unto the Well Beloved. How fitting it is that you would use the voice God has given you to sing His praise, and we pray that your song may be heard for His glory.

You ask that the Lord would stop this cold which you feel coming in your mouth and nose and remove it fully before Saturday. We bring this bodily affliction to the great Physician, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they soon urge us to seek healing. We are reminded that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and His healing and His pardon are placed in happy conjunction. As He has said to the palsied man, your sins are forgiven you, so also He is able to touch the body with healing in His wings.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank You for the gift of song and for this open door to sing. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would in Your mercy rebuke this cold, stop it from breaking out, and remove it fully from our dear one. Lay Your healing hand upon mouth and nose and throat and grant health and strength for Saturday, that the voice may be clear and the heart may sing unto You because You have dealt bountifully. Yet not our will but Yours be done, and whether by health or by weakness, let Christ be magnified. Keep this pilgrim trusting in Your conduit of grace from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below, and let the song that is sung be for Your praise alone. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

We encourage you to rest in the Lord, to care for the body as He enables you, and to commit the outcome into His hands. Whether He lifts the affliction at once or permits a little cold weather for your good, He will be near to you. Go on your way singing, and may the Lord give you a singing heart till the day break and the shadows flee away.
