DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT

We are lifting you before the Lord in prayer for both of these medical needs and asking Him to grant you His wisdom and peace as you walk through them.
For the procedure you have been waiting for these many months, we are asking God to open the right door in His timing, to guide the hands of the doctors, and to grant you healing with results that are excellent and lasting. We pray for strength and comfort in the waiting and for full restoration afterward.
For the appointment today and the decision about a breast reduction, we understand the weight of it. You are hearing different counsel from friends who encourage it and from sisters who urge caution, and at your age it is wise to weigh this carefully. Scripture teaches that wisdom is the principal thing, more valuable than rubies, and that nothing we desire can compare to it. Knowledge can give us facts and information, and you will receive much information today, but wisdom is what enables us to use knowledge well. Wisdom dwells with prudence and preserves those who love her.
The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a humble reverence for Him and a desire to honor Him in our bodies and decisions. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He invites all who lack wisdom to come and receive. God promises that if anyone lacks wisdom, we can ask Him and He will give generously. Like Solomon who asked not for riches or fame but for wisdom to make right judgments, you can ask the Lord today for a clear and discerning heart.
There is a wisdom that is earthly and leads to envy and striving, and there is a wisdom that is from above. The wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, and willing to listen, and it produces peace and righteousness in our lives. True wisdom does not simply follow the opinions of others or the pressure of the moment, but seeks what is pure and pleasing to God, what brings health and wholeness and peace.
So we are praying that your appointment today goes smoothly, that you receive clear and honest information about benefits and risks, and that the Lord gives you prudence to weigh it all. Pray for a settled peace as you consider whether this procedure is truly needful for your health and stewardship of your body, what your motives are, and what counsel aligns with a pure and God honoring path.
