We hear your heart, and we stand with you in this difficult season. The loss of a business and the weight of providing for your family can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who sees your struggle and promises to guide your steps. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Even when the path ahead seems unclear, God is faithful to lead you if you seek Him with your whole heart.
We also want to encourage you with Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has not forgotten you, and He has a plan for your provision and purpose. This season of transition is not the end of your story, it may be the very thing God uses to position you for something greater.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is feeling lost and uncertain after the closing of his business. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who opens doors that no man can shut. We ask that You would calm his mind and steady his heart as he seeks Your will in this season. Give him clarity, wisdom, and discernment as he considers his next steps. Open the right doors for employment that will not only meet his family’s needs but also allow him to use his gifts and talents for Your glory. Remind him that You are his source, not his business or his own efforts. Strengthen his faith when doubt creeps in, and let him feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that this is not a season of lack but a season of preparation, and we trust You to lead him into the good plans You have for him. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We also want to gently remind you that God often uses seasons of waiting and transition to refine our trust in Him. It can be tempting to rush ahead or take matters into your own hands, but we encourage you to seek the Lord daily for His direction. Spend time in prayer and in His Word, asking Him to reveal His will for your next steps. Consider reaching out to your church community or trusted believers who may have wisdom, connections, or opportunities to share. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."
Lastly, we want to remind you that your identity is not in your business or your job title, it is in Christ. You are His beloved child, and He has equipped you with everything you need to walk in His purposes. Hold fast to His promises, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this, and we are standing with you in prayer as you seek God’s direction.
