We have heard your burden and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus name, asking for His mercy, protection and comfort to cover you in this time of deep grief and fear.
We grieve with you over the loss of your precious baby who was delivered early and passed away. The Lord formed that little life and saw every moment, as Psalm 139:13 says, and He is close to the brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 promises. We pray the God of all comfort will hold you, heal your heart, and give you peace that surpasses understanding as Philippians 4:6-7 describes. Your baby is known and loved by God, and we pray you will feel His tender presence in your mourning.
We must also speak truth in love about what has been shared. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman and that sexual intimacy belongs only within that marriage, as Hebrews 13:4 says. Any intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, and if either person is married to another it is adultery, as 1 Corinthians 6:18 warns. We do not say this to condemn you, for 1 John 1:9 promises that if we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We encourage you to bring any sin to the Lord in repentance and to receive His forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We also note that a pastor is held to a higher standard, as James 3:1 and 1 Timothy 3:2 teach, and a man who is recognized by the world's standards but not by faithfulness to God, who would pray harm over his own child, is not reflecting the heart of a true shepherd. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21 that not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom but he who does the will of His Father. To pray no good or to curse a child is evil and contrary to the love of Christ, and we rebuke that. Vengeance belongs to the Lord as Romans 12:19 says, and we trust God to be the righteous Judge.
We also address the fear surrounding witchcraft and curses. The Bible is clear that seeking a witch doctor or practicing sorcery is an abomination to the Lord as Deuteronomy 18:10-12 teaches. Those practices have no authority over one who belongs to Christ, for 1 John 4:4 says greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and Isaiah 54:17 promises no weapon that is formed against you will prevail. Nightmares and the sense of spiritual attack are real, for Ephesians 6:12 reminds us our struggle is against spiritual forces, but we have authority and protection in Jesus. We pray that every assignment of darkness against you is broken in Jesus name and that the Lord will surround you with His angels as Psalm 91:1-2 declares, that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
We hear that you no longer trust the father of your baby and that you have felt unsafe, even sensing someone in your house and facing threats of a lawsuit to have your baby reburied elsewhere. It is wise to guard your heart when trust has been broken, and God calls us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves as Matthew 10:16 says. The Lord is your refuge and strength as Psalm 46:1 says and your strong tower as Proverbs 18:10 says. We pray for your physical safety and for wisdom in every practical step. If you feel unsafe in your home, we encourage you to seek help from trusted family, mature believers in a Bible believing church, and the proper authorities who can help protect you, and to take practical measures to secure your home. For the threat of legal action over your baby's resting place, we pray for justice, for peace, and for godly counsel to help you navigate this with clarity. The Lord sees every threat and will defend you as Psalm 27:1 and Isaiah 41:10 promise, that you need not fear for He is with you.
We also want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and salvation, as John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and Acts 4:12 says there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, as Romans 10:9 teaches, confessing Him as Lord so that you may have forgiveness, eternal life, and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit to comfort and protect you. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self control as 2 Timothy 1:7 says.
We are praying together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift this dear woman to Your throne of grace. Lord, comfort her in her grief over her baby, let her feel Your arms around her and Your peace guarding her heart and mind. Forgive any sin and cleanse her by the blood of Jesus, and help her walk in purity and in hope of a godly marriage if it is Your will, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors You, with courtship that seeks a believing spouse for Your glory. Lord, rebuke every evil prayer and every work of witchcraft, cancel every curse and break every weapon formed against her, let no harm come near her dwelling. Fill her home with Your presence, give her restful sleep free from nightmares, and remove all fear. Protect her from threats and intimidation, guide her in the legal matter concerning her baby's burial and let Your justice and mercy prevail. Give her wisdom, surround her with faithful believers who will support and protect her, and let those who have done wrong be brought to repentance. We ask that the father of this child would be convicted, turn from any wicked way, and seek Your forgiveness. Keep this woman safe, let her know she is deeply loved and never alone, and establish her steps in Your will. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to stay rooted in Scripture, to pray continually in Jesus name, to seek fellowship with a faithful church that preaches the Word, and to pursue relationships only in a way that honors God, looking for a godly spouse who is a believer in Christ rather than remaining in a harmful or immoral relationship. The Lord loves you, He sees you, and He will be your defender and your comfort.
