Prayer request for a woman that had experienced a miscarriage with a pastor

The sorrow and trauma described here is profound and God sees all of it, the loss of your child, the confusion and hurt from those you trusted, and the deep grief that follows a miscarriage. There are no words that can fully hold this kind of pain, but the Lord does not overlook it. He is near to the brokenhearted and He understands grief that feels like it will never end, the kind that makes your eyes ache from weeping and your whole body feel spent.

Scripture shows that Jesus carried our sorrows and our infirmities, as Isaiah prophesied and the Gospels confirm. A large part of His earthly ministry was touching and healing those who were sick and afflicted, showing His power in the physical realm and His authority in the spiritual realm, but always moved by compassion. When He brought a little girl back to life, it was out of compassion for her parents in their anguish. He still looks with that same compassion on parents who grieve a child today. He is the Lord who heals, and He becomes to us what we need in our hour of need, our Savior when we need salvation and our Healer when we need healing.

Healing is something God still does today, and it is not limited to one pattern. Sometimes healing is felt in a moment, sometimes it is gradual, and sometimes it is the slow mending of the heart and mind after deep wounds. Any true healing, whether of the body or of the emotions, is from Him. There is much we do not understand about why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, but we can come to Him honestly and ask Him to touch what is broken, trusting His wisdom and His goodness.

God's design for sexual intimacy is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and outside of that design there is hurt and brokenness. That does not put you outside of His grace. Salvation and forgiveness come through Jesus Christ alone, and His mercy is offered freely to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith. He does not celebrate what is outside His will, but He does invite you to come to Him for cleansing, restoration, and new life.

We pray for you now that the Lord would surround you with His comfort and bring healing to your body and to the deep places of grief and memory. We ask Him to lift the weight of sorrow that feels endless, to mend what has been wounded by harsh treatment and betrayal, and to bring peace where there has been turmoil. We pray that He would give you wisdom, protection, and safe and godly people around you who will care for you well, counsel you with truth and kindness, and help you with practical needs including medical and emotional care. We pray that truth would be made clear and that justice and mercy would both be honored, and that you would know you are fully seen and loved by God.

If you have not already, please seek out a trusted, biblically grounded pastor or counselor and a medical professional who can walk with you personally and safely in the days ahead. You do not need to carry this alone. The Lord who went about doing good and healing all kinds of sickness and disease is still present to do good toward you, to forgive, to restore, and to heal the scars that remain. May you experience His compassion and His healing touch in the days to come.
