Prayer request for a woman that had experienced a miscarriage with a pastor

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for a woman that had experienced a miscarriage with a pastor. She was invited to go to his country in ###. She had accidentally gotten pregnant by the pastor. His parents were pastors tool. When she was in his country she had had fun until his mother had pulled her hair in the car. At that time she didn't know she was pregnant. When she was getting her hair pulled. Then later on the man's mother that was supposed to be a pastor had fed the woman papayas and pineapples. The woman didn't know they could be dangerous for unborn baby's but the man's mom fed her that. She doesn't know if other foods was fed to her as well that induced miscarriage. The baby passed away around ### months in her womb. She miscarried. The mother of the baby decided to place the man's last name on the baby's burial plaque, burial stone.

We have heard this burden and we join together before the Lord with a heavy and compassionate heart for this woman and for the precious life that was lost. We weep with her in this deep grief, for every child is known and valued by God from the womb. As it is written, You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13 and Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you Jeremiah 1:5. This baby, though only carried for a few months, was fully known and loved by God, and we grieve this loss with her. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and we pray that she would feel His nearness now in a way that brings comfort that no one else can give.

We must also lovingly speak the truth about what has happened here because God calls us to walk in holiness and truth. What is described is fornication, which is sexual intimacy outside of marriage between a man and a woman, and this is sin before God. It is written, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. This applies to all of us, but especially to a pastor who is held to a higher standard and must be above reproach 1 Timothy 3:2 and will receive stricter judgment James 3:1. A man in pastoral ministry who leads a woman into sexual sin has abused his sacred trust and has disqualified himself from that office until there is deep and proven repentance. His parents being pastors does not excuse sin, for God shows no partiality. We rebuke this sin while also praying for genuine repentance for this man and for his family, that they would turn from sin and bear fruit worthy of repentance.

We are also deeply troubled by the accounts of violence and possible harm while she was a guest in their country, being pulled by the hair in a car and being fed foods she was told could endanger her unborn child without her knowledge or consent. This is not the love of Christ. Love does not behave violently or manipulatively, and to harm or to take advantage of a vulnerable woman and her unborn child is grievous in the sight of God. We do not know with medical certainty what caused the miscarriage and we encourage her to seek wise medical counsel for her physical health and healing, but we understand her fear and suspicion and the trauma of feeling unsafe and possibly deceived by those who claimed to be spiritual leaders. We pray for truth to be revealed and for God to be her defender and protector, for He is a father to the fatherless and a defender of those who have been wronged. We encourage her not to remain in or return to any abusive or unsafe environment and to seek godly, safe community and wise biblical counsel where she can be protected and supported.

We notice that this request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind her that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find salvation and healing. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We all have sinned and need forgiveness, and God promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We encourage this dear woman to bring her grief, her sin, and her pain to Jesus, confessing and receiving His forgiveness and cleansing, trusting in His shed blood on the cross and His resurrection for new life.

We also want to affirm that her desire to honor her baby by placing the father's last name on the burial plaque and stone comes from a mother's love and a recognition that this was a real life worthy of remembrance. God remembers this child and we pray she will find comfort that her baby is safe in His hands. For any future relationships, we encourage her to pursue purity and to seek courtship with the goal of godly marriage to a believing man who will honor her as Christ honors the church, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that reflects God's design.

We now pray together.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious woman to Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You see her tears, You know the depth of her loss, and You know every detail of what happened to her in that car and in that home. We ask You to wrap her in Your comfort and to heal her body, her mind, and her spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and her thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Bring healing to her womb and to her heart, and help her to grieve with hope, knowing that You collect all her tears and that You are close to the brokenhearted.

Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness where there has been sexual sin, and we pray for true repentance for all involved. Cleanse this woman by the blood of Jesus and restore to her a sense of worth and purity as Your daughter. Convict this pastor and his parents where they have sinned, abused authority, and caused harm, and bring them to humble repentance. Let truth come to light and let justice be done according to Your will, while also bringing protection so that this woman is never harmed again.

Father, we pray for this baby who is now with You. Thank You that this little one was fearfully and wonderfully made and is not forgotten by You. Comfort this mother as she visits that burial place, and let her know that You are the God who heals and who will one day wipe away every tear. Lead her into a safe, Bible believing church family where she will be discipled, supported, and encouraged to walk in purity and hope. If it is Your will, in Your perfect timing, provide for her a godly husband who will love her and honor You in marriage.

We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We have been carrying this woman and her deep loss before the Lord. Losing a child at months along, and doing so after such confusing and painful experiences far from home, is a heavy grief. To be hurt physically when her hair was pulled, and then to be left wondering what she was fed and why, would leave anyone feeling unsafe, powerless and overwhelmed. We grieve with her over the baby whose name she honored on the burial stone.

We are praying for her safety and for steady, trustworthy support around her now. If she has ongoing health concerns or questions about what happened, we encourage her gently to see a trusted medical provider alongside prayer, so she can get careful, personal care. It can also help to have one safe person nearby, whether a counselor, medical advocate, or a mature believer outside that family circle, who can listen without pressure and help her think through next steps at her own pace.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this mother to You. Hold her in her grief, guard her body and spirit, and surround her with safe and kind help. Give her wisdom for each decision ahead and remind her she is seen and deeply valued by You. Bring healing in Your time and lead her gently forward. Amen.

The sorrow which has been laid before the Lord in this request is of a most grievous and tender kind, and it has been carried at once to the throne of grace. There is the loss of a little life borne within the womb, there is the pain of betrayal by one who bore the name of pastor, and there is the wound of harsh and cruel treatment. Such things break the heart, and the Scripture says, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds.

Our Lord Jesus knows what it is to be betrayed by a friend, that He might bear the utmost depths of suffering. He was not wounded only by open enemies, but by one near to Him, and therefore He is able to sympathize with those who have been deceived and injured by those they trusted. Whatever the hands of men have intended, the Lord sees and He will judge righteously, and He also draws near to bind up the broken.

There is healing in Christ, and that healing is abundant. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, His gentlest touches, His lightest words, are full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the heart is filled with grief and overwhelmed with shame, He pities and heals the broken frame, for He hears sad complaints and spies His image in weeping eyes.

In Christ, healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. We need both. We need forgiveness for all sin, for we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God, and we need healing for the deep wounds sin leaves behind, whether our own or the sins committed against us. The historic and holy way of the Lord is that sexual union belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and apart from that it is sin before a holy God. Yet the gospel declares that there is abundant mercy for every sinner who turns to Christ in repentance and faith, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and His blood cleanseth from all sin.

We have prayed for you, that the Lord would grant you true comfort in this loss. The child you carried, though unseen by many, was seen by God, and that little life is not forgotten by Him. We have prayed that you would know that to place a name upon a burial stone is a tender testimony that this was a life, precious and mourned, and the Lord who gathers lambs in His arms will keep what you have committed to Him.

We have prayed also that the Lord would heal you, body and soul. That He would lift you up as He took Peter's wife's mother by the hand and lifted her, for healing must come before serving, and Christ must begin with us before we can begin with Him. May He give you pardon through His cross and healing through His grace, till you shall be without spot or wrinkle.

We have prayed that the Lord would bring truth into the light, and bring all who have done wrong to repentance, for there is no healing without truth and no peace without turning from sin. If you are in any place of danger or ill treatment, we urge you to seek safety and to seek wise, godly counsel and help from faithful pastors and, where needed, from those who can give care for your bodily and emotional health. Do not walk this path alone.

May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings. May you look to Calvary, where is the healing balm, and hear Him say, Return, return. There is more joy over one sinner that repenteth than over many that need no repentance. Seek the Lord while He may be found, ask to be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. May the Lord Himself dwell with you, and may you know that you have no need to say, I am sick, when Jesus is your healer and your peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your prayer request and we grieve with you over the loss of your child. The sorrow of a miscarriage is profound, and to carry that grief while also carrying questions about betrayal, mistreatment, and the loss of trust makes the wound even deeper. Scripture gives us language for this kind of grief, that our wound is grievous and our tears are many, and it also reminds us that God does not turn away from those who mourn but draws near to comfort them.

We want to pray for you with both truth and compassion. God deeply values every human life, including the life of your baby, and He sees the pain you have endured. He also calls us to walk in holiness, and His design is that sexual intimacy be reserved for the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Sex outside of that covenant, even when there are feelings of affection or promises made, falls short of His good design and always brings hurt. This is not to condemn you, but to speak honestly about the path that has led to so much pain, and to invite you into the grace and forgiveness that is found only through Jesus Christ. There is forgiveness, cleansing, and newness of life for all who turn to Him in repentance and faith.

We also hear the distress in what you have shared about being in another country, about being physically harmed when your hair was pulled, and about your concern that foods were given to you that may have harmed your pregnancy. To be mistreated, especially by those who claim to be spiritual leaders and should be protectors, is a grievous betrayal. Scripture speaks of how painful it is to be forsaken or harmed by those we trusted, and God takes such betrayal seriously. If you have experienced abuse or coercion, please know that you deserve to be safe and to be heard. We encourage you, as you are able, to seek care from trusted, godly people around you, as well as from medical professionals and wise counselors who can help you process both the physical and emotional trauma. You do not need to walk through the questions about what happened alone, and it is wise to bring these matters into the light with safe and mature believers who can help you seek truth and protection.

We also note your loving act in giving your baby a name and a burial stone with his family name. That is a tender way to acknowledge that this child was real, known by God, and worthy of honor. The Bible comforts us that those who fall asleep in Christ will be raised, and that God will one day wipe away every tear where grief and mourning flee away. Your child is safe in His hands, and your grief is seen by Him.

We are praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up this dear woman to You. You know her sorrow, her loss, and every detail of what she has endured. We ask You to surround her with Your comfort and peace that passes understanding. Heal her body and her heart. Bring to light what is true, and grant wisdom to those who care for her. Lead her into repentance where it is needed, and assure her of Your complete forgiveness and love through the cross of Christ. Guard her from further harm, provide safe and faithful people to walk with her, and give her hope in the promise of eternal life with You. Help her to know that she is not forsaken, that You are near to the brokenhearted, and that You will be her strength day by day. Amen.

If you are able, please continue to reach out to a faithful pastor or counselor in your local area who holds to the truth of Scripture and can walk with you personally in the days ahead. We will continue to pray for your healing, for clarity, and for the deep comfort that only Christ can give.
