a miracle healing

We are praying for ### and for his wife as they walk this difficult road with you, and we have asked the Lord to show His mercy and power in his body. To see a strong young man reduced to needing a frame to move and needing to rest every few steps is heartbreaking, and the faithful care of his wife who carries a chair so he can sit is a picture of love under strain. Jesus understands these physical afflictions. He was moved with compassion when He saw people weary and hurting in their bodies, and He still cares about our weakness and frailty.

We do believe that God heals. Scripture teaches that when Jesus healed the sick and cast out spirits, it was a fulfillment of what Isaiah foretold, that He Himself bore our infirmities and sicknesses. That promise is not only about forgiveness of sin, though forgiveness is the greatest miracle of all, but it also shows God's heart to touch our bodies. When we remember the bread at communion as His body broken for us, we are reminded that His suffering covers the whole person.

At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not know why some are healed instantly and others are not. The Gospels record one healing where Jesus laid His hands on a blind man and at first the man saw only partially, as men like trees walking, and then Jesus touched him again and his sight was made fully clear. That account teaches us that healing is sometimes gradual. God has also built processes of healing into our bodies. That natural process is no less from Him, for He created nature and its laws, and any true healing, whether sudden or step by step, is divine.

Not every person is given the same gift, for the Spirit distributes gifts as He wills and the body of Christ has many members with different functions. We do not look to a show or to a person who claims special power, but we look simply to Jesus Himself in faith, trusting Him to do what is best.

So we continue to ask the Lord for a miracle for ###, whether by an immediate touch or by a steady, gradual restoration that He works day by day. We pray that God will strengthen his legs and restore his ability to walk, ease his pain, and encourage both him and his wife with hope. Above all we pray that their faith will be strengthened and that they will know the deeper healing of salvation and peace in Christ, which remains the greatest work God does in any life. We will keep holding them before the throne of grace, asking our compassionate Lord to lay His healing hand upon ### according to His perfect will.

Please pray for ### that needs miracle healing.... they say he has cancer in groin, leg, hip & spread into lungs. He is a missionary that the devil is trying to kill. But we know our God is bigger, our God is greater than both cancer & the enemy! For our God has already defeated the enemy...
