Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for bringing your sister to the Lord in prayer. Hearing that a born again sister in Christ is now in a wheelchair and unable to walk after a car accident is heartbreaking, and it is right to bring this need to Jesus with faith and love.
We believe that God is still the God of miracles and that nothing is too hard for Him. In Scripture when Pharaoh asked for a miracle, God told Moses to have Aaron cast down his rod and it became a serpent. The magicians of Egypt were able to copy that sign in a limited way, but God showed His superiority when Aaron's serpent swallowed up theirs. That reminds us that God's power is not equal to other powers, it is far above them, above every medical report, every limitation, and every impossibility we face.
We see the same power in the name of Jesus. When Peter was questioned about the healing of the lame man, he declared plainly that it was by the name of Jesus Christ that the man stood whole before them. That man had never walked, yet through faith in Jesus he was made strong and able to stand. Jesus is the same today. He has the power to heal in a moment, and He also works through doctors, therapy, and the natural processes He created, for He desires our wholeness.
It is easy to try to explain miracles away or to make them smaller than they are, but one way or another we are faced with the reality that God can do what man cannot. Rather than trying to reduce His work to something ordinary, we can simply believe what He has said and trust that He is great enough to do it. He is big enough to heal, big enough to sustain, and big enough to be glorified even in the midst of suffering.
So we join you in prayer for your sister, asking in the name of Jesus Christ for His healing touch upon her body. We ask that the Lord would restore strength to her legs, renew what was injured, and enable her to walk again if it is His will, and that He would give wisdom to those caring for her. Above all we pray that she would know the nearness of Christ, His comfort and peace each day, and that through this trial His power and love would be clearly seen by her and by all around her.
We will continue to hold her up before the throne of grace, trusting the Lord to do what is best and to show His mercy and power in her life. May the Lord strengthen your faith as you stand with her, and may He fill you both with hope in His unfailing love.
