We join with you in lifting up this dear missionary brother before the throne of grace and we agree with you that our God is indeed greater than cancer and greater than the enemy who seeks to steal, kill and destroy. We stand on the truth that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
We also want to gently remind you of the precious name through which we have access to the Father and through which all healing and victory has been secured. You spoke of God defeating sickness, disease, hell and the grave, and that victory was accomplished through Jesus Christ alone. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 It is by the wounds of Jesus that healing was provided, for it is written, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 We come to God only in the name of Jesus, and it is in that name we pray for this miracle.
We take comfort in what the Lord says about Himself, for He declares I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26 and Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3 He also promises But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17 and The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. James 5:15
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this missionary brother who is battling cancer in his groin, leg, hip and lungs. You know him by name, You see his suffering, and You know his faithful service for Your kingdom. We ask in Jesus name that You would rebuke this cancer and command this disease to leave his body. We rebuke the work of the enemy that seeks to kill and destroy, and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper because he is Yours. Lay Your healing hand upon him, Lord. Touch every cell, every organ, every place where cancer has spread, and restore him to health. We pray for a miracle that will testify to Your power and bring glory to Jesus, so that many will see and believe. Give wisdom to his doctors and medical team, give strength and peace to his family and loved ones, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding as he rests in Your hands. Let Your will be done in his life, and let his life continue to be a witness for the gospel. Strengthen his faith, comfort his heart, and let him feel Your presence near. We thank You, Father, that You have already defeated sickness, sin, death and the grave through the cross and resurrection of Jesus, and we trust You now for this healing. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith, to pray without ceasing, and to surround this brother with the prayers of the saints. Keep speaking the Word of God over him, keep praising God for the victory that is already won in Christ, and trust that whether through miraculous healing or through the hands of physicians, the Lord is our healer and He is with this brother every step of the way.
