Dear Lord,

Thank you for the model that You have given us for community and fellowship. You have created a structure that gives us, as Christians, a place to grow, serve, and be held accountable to our faith. Lord, we pray that Christian men and women would find real fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray that they would find accountability and encouragement. Give them opportunities with these relationships to be used to help another brother or sister grow and become...

 

Dear Lord,

We pray for more Biblical leaders to rise up. We pray that men and women around the world who call on your name would step up and take a stand for Your ways. We pray that more believers would fight for the innocent and be a voice for the oppressed. We pray that Godly husbands and wives would show the world what a marriage is supposed to look like. We pray that Godly men and women would step up in the church and begin to use their spiritual gifts in a way that pleases You. Lord...

Not long ago, I received an email from a husband who was beyond weary of the Church not addressing the issue of his sexless marriage. That was hardly the first email I’d received from a frustrated spouse complaining about a lack of wisdom or even compassion they received from church leaders or fellow members for their sexual struggles.

Cue my heart breaking. Because...

 

Dear Lord,

You have told us that the greatest commandment is to love You with all of our hearts, minds, souls, and strength. You want us to love You with all of ourselves. You want us to love You with our words, our actions, or decisions, our obedience, our health, thoughts and our motives. Lord, help us to love You with all of ourselves.

Dear Lord,

We are all broken in some way. We have all been hurt by people inside the church and out. We have all felt the pain of rejection and loneliness. We have all been confused and lost. Bring us to people who will walk with us through these difficulties. This is what You desire of us, that we not do this alone. We know that our enemy would love for us to remain broken so that we will remain unfruitful. But You, Lord, bring healing.

We are so sorry that we have been neglecting intentional intimacy with You. The last few days and weeks have been ridiculously crazy, leaving our heads spinning and our hearts weary. Each day gets worse as we stray from You. Please grab us and draw us close to You. We pray that today we set time aside to read Your Word and pray fervently. We ask for Your help. Holy Spirit convict our hearts, giving us a passion that will never cease, and turn our hearts to You.

Thank you for pouring out Your grace on us by sending Your son to die for our sin. Thank you for raising him from the dead so that we can also be raised to new life. Thank you for making it possible to break free from the bondage of sin. Though we were once dead in our sin, You have made us alive to You in Jesus.
