As husbands and wives, conflict in marriage is something we all face. Two imperfect people, living under the same roof—friction is bound to occur. But the question we want to ask is this:

Are you fighting the right battle—or the wrong one?

Scripture reminds us plainly:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present...

 

Dear Lord,

Thank you for being so patient with us. We know there are times that we forget that our strength and value come from You, and not how much money we make or how successful we think we are. We recognize that this happens most when we begin to focus on other’s success. We need to remember that You are our strength and that our value comes from You alone. Thank you, Lord!

Dear Lord,

The enemy is doing everything in his power to destroy the beautiful picture of marriage that You have created. Even among believers, there is divorce, adultery, laziness, abuse and worse. There are many marriages that are so broken and falling apart. Lord, please bring conviction where conviction is needed. Please bring healing where healing is needed. Pour your spirit out on our marriages Lord and transform us. Cause a revival in our homes.

We pray for protection over Christian marriages. We pray that You would send angels to surround their homes and that they would keep the enemy at bay. Give them your wisdom to make good decisions for their family and relationship. Protect their minds from being deceived by the enemy. Protect their hearts from being hardened by the cares of this world. Equip us, Lord.
