Dear Lord,

Thank you for good friends who we can talk to and share with what we are going through. Thank you that You created this thing called community so that we don’t have to walk this life out in seclusion. We pray that we would encourage each other more and more every day. We pray that we would not talk behind one other’s backs but would stick up for each other when someone does. May we be men and women who lift each other up and remind each other of who God is and who we are in God...

 

Dear Lord,

We pray for those that are parents. It is very hard and overwhelming sometimes learning how to be a parent. When our children are growing and changing and are frustrated and confused. It is hard to hold our composure and patience. Help us, Lord, to be patient and loving to our little children. Help us to teach them Your love and kindness as well as Your discipline. Give us patience for them and understanding and teach us how to teach them. We pray that our children would one day...

Thank you for today. Thank you for our life and the gift of marriage. You are an amazing God! Thank you for sending Your Son and sacrificing Him so that we could be free from the slavery of sin and spend eternity with You! We pray that our marriages would keep Christ at the center. Please help us to keep our focus, to understand the purpose of marriage, and to know how to operate in it as You have intended. Lord, break the chains of selfishness, pride, and stubbornness. We pray that You would remind us that You have called us to not be offended so easily. 1 Corinthians 13:5 tells us that love is not easily provoked or resentful. Lord, help us to find the good in fellow believers. Help us to seek peace and to give the benefit of the doubt whenever possible.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for your grace. Thank you for forgiving me when I don’t deserve it. We pray that in our marriage we can forgive each other just as You forgive us. Help us to extend grace to one another. We pray for other couples as well, couples who are holding onto bitterness and resentment and hurt. Please help them to forgive each other and reconcile their relationship. May Your will be done in us and may the testimony of Your redeeming love reflect in our marriages.

You love when Your people live and walk in communion! We know You desire for us all to have relationships around us that are willing to walk with us and do life with us. It is when we are in community with other believers that we grow the most. God, bring friends into our lives that will pray for us and encourage us but also challenge us. Build a community of Bible believing Christ followers around us.

Thank you for today and thank you for our friends. Lord, You have blessed us with people who love us so much that they are willing to tell us when we need to work on our character or repent of sin. Thank you for constantly transforming our minds to be turned towards You always. Lord, we pray to always be striving to become men and women of integrity. We pray that we would be the same person in private that we are in public. We want our integrity to be a blessing to our children and their children after. We want to leave a legacy of uprightness for our family.
