One thing I notice in this world is that things change over time. You have people you think you'll be friends with forever, and they move away, move on in life, and things aren't as they were. Even families, they "branch out" to different parts of the country, you might only see them very occasionally."Phases" of your life come and go.Also, with time you find out many you knew died.{"For your life is like a vapor, that appears for a while, then fades away."}That's in this world. Now, eternity. When we see each other in eternity,we won't have to say "goodbye" any more. Noone will move to a place we "can't get to". Noone will die,Things won't change to the extent that we're no longer in friendship with each other. And that is the difference...
It is Jesus comand and example of love to God above all things. Jesus at an early age was found in the temple of God in discussion with the elders. Luke 2.46 If Jesus attended church, then we should also. Church attendance is vital for anyone who loves the Lord and wants to serve Him, It is like transfusion of a rich, healthy blood to a sick man. It give us new life in Him. It encourages to continue our long road to heaven. Why then should we attend our local church? A. To become closer to God in worship along with others believers and those who see Gods face. B. For our children to have a moral foundation. To love the Lord with all their heart, mind and soul. C. To become a better person before the Lord and before...
For those of you who want a better understanding of the book of Revelation. The Bible Project Overview: Revelation Ch. 1-11 @ Overview: Revelation Ch. 12-22 @ Allen Parr The Book of Revelation Explained in Under 5 Minutes @ Got Questions "How can I understand the Book of Revelation?" @ https://www.gotquestions.org/Book-Revelation.html Question: "How can I understand the Book of Revelation?" A simple outline for the book of Revelation is found in Revelation 1:19. In the first chapter, the risen and exalted Christ is speaking to John. Christ tells John to “write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.” The things John had already seen are recorded in chapter 1. The “things which are”...
2 online articles. Please read first and then comment. Read as it is written only for you, not for others. If you read it only for others, there is a possibility that you are self righteous to? When i have read this, i said to myself, oh, Lord, help me!! Will you? 11 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SELF-RIGHTEOUS Self-righteousness is rampant in our churches. Pews are packed every week with Pharisees who are under the impression they are doing everything right. Scripture, however, paints a woefully different picture. Far from thinking we have "arrived" or that we are superior to others, we should feel a need for dependence on the righteousness of Christ. Instead of raising our spiritual noses at those struggling with sin, we should humbly bow...
With thanksgiving we all shall be a sanctuary for the Lord. He loves us with an everlasting love and cares for us. Why not being a sanctuary for Jesus to live in our hearts, minds and soul. But we all, with unveiled face beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lords Spirit. II Cor. 3.18 All Christians should want and desire to be the sanctuary where Jesus will be exalted and adored forever. Amen
Jesus clearly said. Do not make treasures on earth where thieves come and steal. If you lost a lot of money and those who borrow from you do not pay back, then it is time to fast and pray for them. They are lost and need a Savior. But you must give thanks to God for giving you hope in the future. We shall and will not be able to take anything to heaven. Silver and gold shall not enter glory. So, be thankful for what you have right now. When wealth is lots, nothing is lost before the eyes of God. When health is lost, then you lost your ability to help others and pray for those lost souls. When character is lost, everything is lost because the witness for God power and purpose in our life is gone. Repent and come to Jesus...
I sometimes look up people from my past, and upon looking them up after several years of not hearing anything about them, one thing that jumps at me is the good number of them that have died in the long years since I knew them.Add to this the neighbors, relatives that I've known that have died, and it got me to thinking about 2 things on a spiritual level--one, how death came in as a result of Original Sin{"through one man death entered in'}and, how, in the New Heaven and Earth, this won't happen anymore.{"And death will be no more.Neither will there be mourning nor outcry nor pain anymore. For the former things have passed away."When I see people mourning their loved ones after a death, those verses come to me.But besides even that, what...
