There seems to be a different outlook between myself and certain others, even some unsaved people, and also some Christians. That wanting to learn more about certain Biblical things, and how this relates to that, that this is a "bad" thing.I disagree.Because ,1, it was my "curiousity" that actually brought me to the Lord. I had a yearning for Biblical things, and so when I saw books , like Hal Lindsey books on prophecy, but also salvation,I wanted to read them, and learned of salvation through them. If I would've "put my hands over my eyes" and be afraid to "poke",I wouldn't have found anything out,and remained unsaved, right? Also, there are Christian sites dedicated to answering Biblical questions, like "Got Questions.Org". {Also...
"The lion shall lay down with the lamb, and the weaned young child shall put his hand on the pit of a cockatrice. They shall do no harm in all My holy mountain.""Behold!!I make all things new" is the utterance of Jehovah. Now, these statements show that the nature of Gods created beings will be changed. Also, "the former things will not come to mind, neither will they come into the heart.".Now then...unless some of the other site members have reading problems, it's plain to see that there's a state of hostility between me and another site member. This has been going on for a while. This member believes that if we just "dismiss" problems from our thoughts, they''ll just "float away". I. on the other hand, believe, in order to solve a...
Once you lift up your voice to heaven, Jesus rejoices in the praises of His people. He has done great things for us and for those who have come to Him asking help and grace. I will forever bless His holy name for being faithful and true to His word. When we focus on being a blessing wherever we are, Jesus makes sure that we are blessed beyond any idea.
The world, the flesh and the devil are working so hard in our churches that even those who had been members for a long time are leaving us. Pastors and teachers are being tempted to make more money and get more material possesions, they are leaving us. 1. Pastors gets burn out and they leave the congregation full of sadness and pain. We need to fast and pray for our pastor and his family. Satan is out to get all of them. 2. Too much gossip inside the church. Instead of building up those weak in faith, people gossip about their problems. Call on the Lord day and night to be delivered from those who love to gossip a lot. They need the Lord. 3. Distractions of all kinds takes people away from attending services. Football...
It would seem that sin is sin, and since unsaved people"don't know any better",that ,all of them being unsaved, they all would have the same level of sin. However, that's not so.Because you have the "hard core sinners"like murderers, drug addicts, wife beaters. But then you have other unsaved people, who don't have "as extreme" sins in their life, and even state that they find it disgusting what the "extreme" sinners are doing. So it would seem that there are "levels of sin" amongst the unsaved. So the question this raises for me is, if they're all in their unperfect state of being unsaved, you would think they don't know right from wrong at all.and that the one wouldn't see anything wrong with the murderer, etc. But no.Now maybe God...
MY ETERNITY …… WHERE? Did you ever think, as the hearse goes by, that some certain day both you and I will take a ride in that big black hack, and shall never remember coming back? Rake, scrape, borrow and save – You lose it all when you go to the grave. Money, a dead man’s hand won’t hold. Nor can life be purchased with silver and gold. For, if life were a thing that money could buy, the rich would live and the poor would die. “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27). “For God will bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and...
Sin is powerful. So what is sin? It is both doing what you know is wrong and not doing what you know is right. Sin has the power to make prisoners of everyone. But there is good news! God’s power is stronger. When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, God sets you free! Sin causes you to fall short of God’s standard for living, but God sets you free! All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, he freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins. God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life’s blood, so that by faith in him we could come to God. And God did this to show that in the past he was right to be patient and forgive sinners...
Hell! Read how the Bible describes hell: A lake of fire – "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15) A bottomless pit – "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand." (Revelation 20:1) A horrible tempest – "Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup." (Psalm 11:6) A place of everlasting burnings – "The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?" (Isaiah 33:14) A furnace of fire – "And shall cast...
Real love is God’s saving love: God’s love for you is real … so real that God sent Jesus into the world to save you. God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them! No one who has faith in God’s Son will be condemned. But everyone who does not have faith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God’s only Son. (John 3:16-18) Real love brings you forgiveness: Confess your sins to God, who forgives you and takes your sins away. Jesus told us that God is light and doesn’t have any darkness in him. If we say that we share in...
Do you every feel like you’re a nobody? What a downer! But being a nobody is not the way God sees you. God created you in a special way to be somebody. Because God love you, you are somebody! And because you are somebody, Jesus Christ died for you and took away your sin. Now you have eternal life, and that make you somebody! You are somebody – God accepts you! God treats everyone alike. He accepts people only because they have faith in Jesus Christ. All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. But God treats us much better than we deserve, and because of Christ Jesus, he freely accepts us and sets us free from our sins. God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life’s blood, so that by faith in him we could...
