Your prayer has been heard and the weight you are carrying is clear. The repeated disappointment in searching for work, the tension in your marriage, the feeling of being controlled and talked about, and the pain of betrayal are heavy burdens, and it is right to bring them to God.

God invites you to cast all your worries on Him because He cares for you, and He also calls us to pray according to His will. For that reason I cannot ask God to bless you leaving your marriage, to make another man seem lesser, or to bring harm upon your wife so that she reaps what she has sown. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He calls us to desire repentance and restoration rather than revenge. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman before God, and sex belongs only within that covenant. When that covenant is broken, the right prayer is not for God to punish, but for God to bring conviction, healing, forgiveness, and either true reconciliation or wise and godly counsel if you are considering what to do next. I will pray that God works in both your hearts to turn toward Him, to speak truthfully, to forgive as Christ has forgiven us, and to seek help from a trusted pastor or counselor rather than spreading the struggle to many people.

The hurt around communication is also important to bring to God. It is understandable to feel discouraged when you share good news and do not get the job, and to feel trapped when you are criticized for not sharing and also for not providing. God calls husbands and wives to deal honestly and kindly with one another and not to use money, housing, or transportation as leverage. Pray for wisdom to have calm and honest conversation, to set healthy patterns, and to seek counsel that honors God and protects the privacy of your home while still giving you support.

For your practical needs, God promises to provide what we need and He calls us to be faithful stewards at the same time. Continue to be diligent in seeking work, and ask God for strength and favor in each interview while trusting His provision even when doors close. For the speeding ticket, it is wise to take responsibility and make a plan to pay it yourself rather than counting on a promise that has often been broken. For the phone, bus pass, food, housing and other daily needs, ask God for provision for what is necessary for health and for work, remembering that care for the body is for health and not for vanity or excess. God sees your needs and He also calls us to labor honestly, to live within what He provides, and to trust Him one day at a time rather than demanding a way out on our own terms.

Let me pray for you in a way that honors Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to God.

Father in heaven, I lift up this brother to you through Jesus Christ. Take his anxiety and teach him to trust you more deeply. Provide for his daily needs, open a door for honest work, and give him wisdom and self control in his home. Bring conviction where there is sin, comfort where there is betrayal, and healing where there is anger. Teach both husband and wife to speak truth in love, to turn from unfaithfulness, to forgive, and to seek godly counsel. Guard his heart from desiring revenge and help him to desire what is holy and right. Give him patience, humility, and clarity for the next faithful step, and let him find his hope and identity in Christ alone. In Jesus name, amen.

Your worries have been heard and your honesty about feeling stuck, controlled and hurt is not overlooked by God. The weight you carry with interviews that do not lead to work, with tension in your marriage, with a ticket you do not know how to pay, and with daily needs like a phone, transportation and food is real, and God invites you to bring that weight to Him.

Scripture says to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you, and to bring your requests to God with prayer and thanksgiving so His peace can guard your heart. That does not mean worries disappear instantly, but it means you are not carrying them alone.

One truth that can encourage you is that God always leaves room for Himself to work, even when a situation looks incurable. Under the old law there was a detailed procedure for a person with leprosy, a disease with no human cure, that described what to do in the day of his cleansing. God wrote into the law itself a provision for cleansing, as if to say if I choose to heal, there is already a way for that person to be restored and to reenter community. He made a way for grace to operate even inside the law. Jesus showed that same power when He touched those no one else could help, a man tormented and controlled by evil spirits and a woman who had bled for years without relief. What was hopeless to people was not hopeless to Him. Your situation may feel incurable right now, with repeated disappointment in the job search and deep pain in your marriage, but God has not boxed Himself in. He is still able to work, to heal, to open doors for employment, and to bring change where you see no way forward.

God also shows His heart to provide for daily needs. In His law He told landowners to leave the edges of their fields so that a hungry person passing through could eat and be satisfied. He did not provide so people could exploit it, but so that real hunger could be met. Jesus taught the same when He said to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and that your Father knows what you need. Your prayers for provision for food, for a place to live, for a phone and for transportation matter to Him. Ask Him to provide, and also ask Him for wisdom to be a faithful steward as you look for work, as you handle the responsibility of the speeding ticket, and as you plan for the future. It is right not to count on an uncertain promise from another person to pay what you owe, but to take responsibility yourself and to trust God to help you make it right.

Your marriage pain needs to be addressed with that same biblical honesty. From the beginning God designed marriage so that two become one flesh, a deep and lifelong unity. That oneness is why betrayal hurts so deeply and why outside people should not be brought into the private struggles of a husband and wife. Gossip and involving others often makes healing harder. The pattern you describe, telling many people about an interview and then feeling shame when it does not work out, or withholding information and then facing anger, points to a breakdown in trust and communication that needs healing. And the presence of unfaithfulness is a serious breaking of that covenant. It is not to be accepted or celebrated, and God does not bless it.

Because of that, it is understandable that you feel hurt and want to see things made right, even praying that the other man would not compare to you and that your wife would reap what she has sown. God does say that what a person sows will be reaped, but He also says that vengeance belongs to Him and that we are called to not repay evil for evil. Asking God to work things out in your favor is right when favor means His righteous and merciful will, not personal revenge. The better prayer is that God would bring truth into the light, bring conviction where there is sin, bring healing where there is brokenness, and bring you both to repentance and restoration if possible. If you are considering moving out, please seek wise and godly counsel before you make that decision, so that you do not act only out of pain or a desire to be missed, but out of a clear pursuit of what honors God and what is truly best for both of you.

Above all, there is only one provision God has made for our deepest need, which is forgiveness of sin and peace with Him, and that is Jesus Christ. No effort, no good desire, and no prayer for a better situation can atone for sin. Only the blood of Jesus can. Light has come into the world in Him, and everyone is invited to come into that light, confess sin, and receive forgiveness and new life. If you have not already done so, turn to Jesus alone for salvation, and continue to walk with Him daily. From that place of being forgiven, you will find the grace to forgive, the strength to act with integrity in hard conversations, and the hope to keep seeking work faithfully while trusting God with the outcome.

I will pray for you that God would provide for your needs according to His wisdom, that He would give you favor in finding honest work and the discipline to steward what He provides, that He would help you take care of your responsibilities with honesty, that He would bring healing and truth into your marriage and give you both counsel that honors Him, that He would guard your heart from bitterness and help you leave justice in His hands, and that He would make His power and grace known in your life in a way that restores what has been broken.
