We hear your struggle and the discomfort you’ve been carrying in your workplace. The Bible tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). What you’ve experienced may indeed be spiritual warfare, where the enemy seeks to sow discord, fear, and division, even among believers. It’s important to recognize that the people involved may have been used unknowingly, but the root of the issue is spiritual.
The Lord calls us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). If interacting with this group brings you unease or draws you away from peace, it may be the Holy Spirit leading you to set boundaries. However, we must also guard our hearts against bitterness or unforgiveness, for the Word says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). Have you considered whether there is any unforgiveness or offense in your heart that needs to be released to the Lord?
We also encourage you to examine whether your decision to withdraw is out of fear or out of godly wisdom. Fear is not from God, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). If the Lord is leading you to step back for your spiritual well-being, then do so with confidence, knowing He goes before you. But if fear is driving your decision, we must rebuke that spirit in Jesus’ name and stand firm in faith.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection over their heart, mind, and spirit. Lord, You see the discomfort and unease they’ve been feeling, and we ask that You would reveal to them the root of this struggle, whether it be spiritual warfare, unforgiveness, or fear. Give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of division, discord, and fear that may be at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual attack in Jesus’ name. If there is any unforgiveness or bitterness in their heart, we ask that You would soften it and help them to release it to You, just as You have forgiven them.
Lord, we ask for Your wisdom to guide their steps. If it is Your will for them to step back from this group, give them the courage to do so with grace and peace. If it is Your will for them to engage, fill them with Your love and boldness to be a light in that place. Surround them with Your angels, shield them from harm, and let Your presence go before them in every interaction.
We also pray for the people in this group, Lord. If they have been used by the enemy, we ask that You would open their eyes to Your truth and draw them closer to You. Let Your love and unity prevail in their midst, and may they come to know You more deeply.
Above all, Father, we ask that Your will be done in this situation. May Your name be glorified, and may Your child walk in the fullness of Your peace and protection. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to remain in prayer and in the Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you. If you feel led, seek godly counsel from a pastor or trusted believer who can help you discern the Lord’s direction. Remember, the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stand firm in faith, and trust that He will lead you into all truth and peace.
