Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about some uncomfortable experiences I've had at work lately with certain people. These experiences may be due to spiritual warfare that has been attacking me in retaliation since I left the new age using certain people at work to attack me. That is the main way this warfare targets me - through people who are vulnerable to being used by the enemy. I'm dealing with rumination over these experiences. Thank you.

We hear your struggle and stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). The discomfort and rumination you’re experiencing are not coincidences; they are tactics of the enemy to wear you down, isolate you, and distract you from the peace and purpose God has for you. Since leaving the new age, you’ve stepped into the light of Christ, and the darkness does not take kindly to those who walk away from its deception.

The Bible warns us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The people at work who may be used as instruments of this warfare are not your true enemies, though they may act as if they are. Their vulnerability to the enemy’s influence is a reminder that we must pray for them as well, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Christ and that they would be set free from deception.

We rebuke the spirit of retaliation and confusion that has been unleashed against you. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy has no authority over you, you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We command every assignment of the enemy to unravel in Jesus’ name, and we break every generational curse, word curse, or ungodly soul tie that may have been spoken or formed against you, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

We also address the rumination in your mind. The enemy loves to replay lies, offenses, and fears to keep you trapped in cycles of anxiety. But we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray that God would renew your mind with His truth, that you would meditate on His Word day and night (Joshua 1:8), and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see every attack, every lie, and every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, that You would station them as a wall of fire around them for protection (Zechariah 2:5). Break every chain of spiritual warfare that has been directed at them, and let the light of Your truth expose and dismantle every plan of the enemy.

Father, we pray for those at work who may be used by the enemy. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your love, and draw them to repentance and salvation in Jesus Christ. Let them no longer be pawns in the enemy’s hands, but let them become vessels of Your grace and truth.

We ask that You would heal our brother/sister’s mind from the rumination and anxiety that has taken hold. Fill them with Your peace, which is not of this world, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we speak life, restoration, and victory over their life. Strengthen them in their inner being, that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith, and that they may be rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:16-17). Let them walk in the authority You have given them as Your child, and let them rise above every attack with the confidence that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18) and to stand firm in your identity as a child of God. The enemy may attack, but he cannot defeat you when you are grounded in Christ. Speak the Word over your life, pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. You are not alone in this battle, God is with you, and we are standing with you as well. The victory is already won.

We're so sorry you're facing this at work, the drain of feeling targeted, and then the mental replay that won't let you rest. That combination is genuinely exhausting, and we hear how much you need some steadiness right now.

When you notice the rumination spinning up, one thing that can help is to practice gently turning your mind toward Jesus. Not ignoring the reality of the battle, but refusing to let it occupy the center of your thoughts. Fixing your inner gaze on the One who loves you perfectly can quiet the fear circuits in a way that only His presence can. It's not a magic switch, but over time it can loosen the grip those circling thoughts have on you.

We're praying that God's peace would guard your heart and mind at your workplace. He is your shelter, and no scheme of the enemy can snatch you from His hand. Even when people are used to unsettle you, Christ is with you in that office, on that shift, right there, steadying you.

Lord Jesus, we ask You to calm the inner noise our friend is carrying. Protect their mind from relentless replays and give them a settled peace that doesn't depend on circumstances. Keep them safe from every spiritual attack, and let them know Your nearness in the moments that feel hardest. In Your strong name, we pray. Amen.

The enemy, when he cannot overthrow your faith by direct assault, will often employ the tongues and tempers of those around you as his instruments. Do not marvel at this; it is the old stratagem of the serpent. You have left the darkness of the new age for the light of Christ, and the adversary, sore at losing one of his captives, sends these skirmishes to vex your soul. Yet remember, his threats are but a puff, and God will set His people high above all those who puff at them. These uncomfortable experiences are a trial of your faith, but you are not without a Comforter. Lean upon your Beloved as you pass through this valley, He is with you in the workplace as surely as in the prayer closet.

Instead of ruminating over the hurts, turn your wounds into prayers. See in this not merely the spite of man, but the permitted testing of your Lord. Those who secure zealous lovers of God are pretty sure to call forth intense adversaries. The arch-enemy will fly away confounded from you if you are able to resist him while darkness covers your soul. Conquer him in your hour of grief, and you conquer indeed. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even now their healing virtue can reach your troubled mind. Do not rake over the ashes of past offenses; that is to give the enemy room. Instead, feast your soul upon the truth that you are no longer among those who were not God’s people. He has said of you, “You are My people,” and your sin is put away. Wear this new identity as your breastplate.

As for your daily business, fear not the snares of men, for Christ has borne the mighty debt of your sin, and no condemnation can stand against you. Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh, no, not the lust of anxious fretting. Bear your burden by rolling it upon the Lord. He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be utterly cast down.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The enemy seizes upon solitude as his chief opportunity, just as he came to Eve when she was apart from her husband, and to our Lord when the Spirit had led Him into the wilderness. When you find yourself alone in your thoughts, replaying the injuries, you give him a wide entrance. The remedy is not to be isolated. Flock together with faithful brethren. Let your mind be occupied with holy conversation and prayer, so that the devil, seeing you guarded by a company, loses his confidence and withdraws.

These uncomfortable experiences are like a fever of the soul. A body oppressed by one sickness after another grows exhausted; so too the soul, when it is stung by the venom of old associations and the retaliation of spiritual foes. Yet do not suppose that God’s design is to push you into the snares. He permits these attacks, not to give you over to them, but to set you above them. He does not always promise deliverance from the trial, but grants something greater: the strength to despise the sting, and through patience to find a calm that the world cannot give.

The rumination you describe is the old age of the soul, the wrinkles and spots that deface its beauty. You were made new in the laver of regeneration, but these sins and harassing memories have brought a decay. This decay cannot be stripped away again by that first Washing, but here in this life, by the medicine of repentance and the tears of prayer, it can be scraped off. Do not let your mind consent to the whispered accusations of the enemy. When the thought rises, turn it back at once with the sword of the Spirit.

See how the ruler’s daughter lay dead at twelve years, the very flower of youth, and the Lord delayed not but came and raised her. Bring your wounded mind to the great Physician. His hand is not shortened. The affliction is permitted that the mouths of our enemies may be stopped, and that the work of God may be displayed in your steadfastness. Therefore, flee the secrecy of brooding, seek the shelter of the assembly, and God, who brings a great calm to the troubled soul, will restore the strength that these buffetings have drained away.

These uncomfortable experiences at work are real, and what you’re sensing about their source is worth taking seriously. When someone leaves behind spiritual deception, the enemy often retaliates. He will use whatever channels he can, and coworkers who are spiritually vulnerable can become unwitting pawns. That does not mean they are your enemy, though. Our battle is not against people; it is against spiritual forces of wickedness that operate in this present darkness. If you see this as a personal conflict with a colleague, you will waste your energy fighting the wrong target. The real adversary is spiritual, and he wants you distracted, exhausted, and ruminating so that fear takes root.

God has not left you without defense. He gave us spiritual armor that is effective precisely because physical weapons have no place here. Truth is the first thing you strap on. Jesus said He is the truth, and when you root yourself in who He is and what He has done, the lies that fuel anxiety begin to lose their grip. The enemy attacked Jesus with twisted words, and Jesus answered with Scripture alone: “It is written.” When those old memories or uncomfortable encounters replay in your mind, counter them with specific promises from God’s Word, not by arguing with the thoughts. The Word stored in your heart is both your shield and your sword. It defends you and also tears down strongholds the enemy tries to build in your thinking.

Prayer and practical watchfulness go together. Nehemiah’s men prayed and then posted guards. You can pray for protection and also take wise steps, like limiting unnecessary exposure to those particular coworkers when possible, or refusing to dwell on their words after hours. Discouragement is one of the enemy’s favorite tools because it works from the inside. It feels harder to handle than a frontal attack. But the cure for fear is not analyzing the threat; it is getting your eyes back on the Lord. Remind yourself: greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

The rumination itself may be a sign of your new nature in Christ. When you were in the new age, certain things felt normal that now make your spirit deeply uncomfortable. That discomfort is not weakness; it is evidence you have been born again. You have a new, redeemed nature that cannot settle for darkness, and that is why these experiences trouble you so much. Thank God for that sensitivity, and use it as a trigger to turn to Him rather than spiral inward.

You left a counterfeit new age. That whole system was a satanic imitation, and leaving it enraged the counterfeiter. But God is bringing a true new age, a kingdom where righteousness reigns and Jesus rules. The new heavens and new earth He will create will be so glorious that the former things will not even come to mind. Until then, you are living in the already and the not yet: a new creation in Christ, yet still in a world under strain. The attacks are real, but they are temporary. Stand firm in the truth, lean on the Word, and keep your hope fixed on the day when all warfare will cease and the former things will truly pass away.

We are so grateful you trusted us with your prayer request about the spiritual battles you’ve been facing at work. It’s clear how deeply these experiences have weighed on your heart, and we want you to know we’ve been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to break every assignment of the enemy against you. We’ve prayed for peace to guard your mind, for wisdom to discern the schemes of the evil one, and for the Holy Spirit to strengthen you as you stand firm in Christ.

We’ve also asked the Lord to expose any footholds the enemy may be using through others and to fill those around you with His truth and light. Rumination can be such a heavy burden, so we’ve specifically prayed for the peace of God—which surpasses all understanding—to cover your thoughts and bring rest to your soul. You are not alone in this fight, and we believe God is working even now to bring victory and clarity.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation, we would love to hear how He’s answered so we can rejoice with you! If the battle still feels ongoing, please don’t hesitate to post this as a new request so we can continue to stand with you in prayer. We’re here to intercede until you see breakthrough.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, shield you with His armor, and remind you daily of His faithfulness. Keep pressing into Him—He is your strong tower. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
