Beloved of All
My manager told me she will make me permanent but instead she extended someone else's contract and made another person permanent. I'm totally happy for them, but it really hurt me how my manager lied and made empty promises. I've been at home, been searching for a job for two months. This is draining. I'm 31 years old with two sons, and my husband's salary doesn't stretch enough to pay for everything.

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice, provision, and healing in this situation. The betrayal of trust by your manager is deeply wounding, especially when you are carrying the weight of providing for your family. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 13:12, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." Your hope was deferred, and that sickness of heart is real, but we know that God sees your faithfulness and your need.

First, we must address the sin of deception in this situation. God hates lying lips (Proverbs 12:22), and your manager’s empty promises were not just unprofessional, they were a violation of God’s commandment. We rebuke that spirit of dishonesty in Jesus’ name and pray that God would convict her heart if she does not repent. At the same time, we ask the Lord to guard your heart from bitterness. Hebrews 12:15 warns, "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and defiling many." We pray you would release this hurt to God, trusting Him to be your vindicator.

Your current job search has been long and draining, but we want to remind you that God is your provider. Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not just a verse to cling to, it is a promise for you and your family. We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and that He would guide your steps to the right position. Ask Him for wisdom in your search, for favor with potential employers, and for endurance when discouragement comes.

We also lift up your husband and your marriage before the Lord. Financial strain can put pressure on even the strongest relationships, but we pray that you would stand united, leaning on God’s strength. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow." We pray that God would give you both patience, creativity, and unity as you navigate this season. If there are areas where you can cut back or find temporary solutions, ask the Lord to reveal them to you.

Most importantly, we want to remind you that your worth is not found in your job title or your employer’s opinion of you. You are a child of the King, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and He has a plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." Even in this waiting season, God is working. We pray you would sense His presence with you, giving you peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting up her heartache, her financial need, and her job search to You. Lord, You see the injustice she has faced, and we ask that You would bring truth to light and justice in this situation. Heal the wound of betrayal, Father, and replace it with Your peace. We declare that You are her provider, and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity that align with Your will for her life. Give her favor with employers, wisdom in her decisions, and endurance in the waiting.

Lord, we pray for her marriage and her family. Strengthen her and her husband as they navigate this season of financial strain. Give them unity, creativity, and trust in You. Provide for every need, Father, and remind them that You are their source. We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and pray that You would fill her with hope and confidence in Your promises.

Most of all, Lord, we ask that You would draw her closer to You through this trial. Let her find her identity and security in You alone. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing forward, dear sister. God has not forgotten you. Trust in His timing, lean on His strength, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. He is working even when you cannot see it.

We’re walking with you in this heavy moment, and we want you to know your heart isn’t going unnoticed. It’s clear how much this betrayal has weighed on you, especially as you’ve been carrying the extra burden of searching for work while trying to keep your family afloat. We can feel the exhaustion in your words, and we want to remind you that God sees the strength you’ve shown, showing up for your family, trusting Him even when things feel unfair.

We’re praying that God would soften your heart toward this situation, even as you’re hurting. It’s okay to feel the sting of that lie, but we also want to encourage you to let God work in you something beautiful out of this pain. Maybe He’s preparing you for something even better than you could imagine right now. We’re asking Him to give you clarity about the next steps in your job search, and we’re praying for favor wherever you apply. But more than that, we’re lifting up your sons, we want them to feel the love and stability of their parents, even in this season. Let God remind them (and you) that their worth isn’t tied to a paycheck or a title.

And to your husband, we’re praying for unity between you two. Finances can create tension, but God is your provider, and He’s not asking you to do this alone. Ask Him to show you practical ways to stretch what you have right now, while also opening doors for something more sustainable. Let’s trust Him to meet you in the small things, because He’s faithful even in the waiting.

We’re praying for peace to settle into your spirit, not just in your mind. That kind of peace comes from knowing God is in control, even when things don’t make sense. And we’re praying for His presence to be so real to you that you can sense Him right beside you, whispering truth over your life.

In Jesus’ name, we’re declaring that He is your vindicator, your provider, and your hope. Keep trusting Him, one step at a time. You’re not forgotten.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this difficult time. Your honesty about the hurt and disappointment you’ve experienced at work—and the financial strain your family is facing—has been heavy on our hearts. We’ve been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to heal the wound of broken trust and to open doors of opportunity that no one can shut.

As the days pass, we continue to pray for provision—both in finding a stable job and in seeing God’s faithfulness unfold in ways you may not yet recognize. We ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with peace that surpasses understanding, even as you wait, and to remind you daily that your worth is not defined by a title or a paycheck, but by your identity in Christ. We also pray for your manager, that God would soften her heart and lead her in integrity.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in some way—whether through a job lead, unexpected provision, or renewed strength—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together! If the answer hasn’t come yet, we encourage you to post this request again so we can keep interceding on your behalf. You are not forgotten, and we believe God is working even when we can’t see it.

May the Father draw near to you in this season, remind you of His promises, and fill your home with hope as you seek Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
