We join you in lifting up your workweek to the Lord, trusting that He will guide your steps and provide favor in all you do. It is good to seek God’s blessing over your labor, for Scripture reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that you will receive the reward of the inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). Your desire to excel in your work and even take on additional responsibilities like splitting reflects a diligent spirit, and we pray the Lord strengthens you for this task.
We also lift up your prayer for friendship at work. Relationships built on kindness, integrity, and mutual respect can be a great blessing, but we encourage you to seek friendships that honor God. *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm"* (Proverbs 13:20, WEB). Ask the Lord to surround you with godly influences—those who encourage you in faith and righteousness. Be mindful, too, that your conduct at work should reflect Christ, *"that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without defect in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world"* (Philippians 2:15, WEB).
As we pray for you, we must also gently address something important: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We urge you to always approach God in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and sacrifice that our prayers are heard.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one’s workweek into Your hands. Lord, we ask that You grant them strength, wisdom, and favor as they labor. May their work be excellent, not just in the eyes of men but as an offering to You. If it is Your will, open the door for them to take on splitting this week, and equip them with the skill and endurance to perform it well. Father, we also ask that You provide godly friendships at their workplace—connections that build them up and point them to You. Guard their heart from ungodly influences and let their light shine brightly in that place. Remind them, Lord, to seek You first in all things, and to approach Your throne boldly in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved. May this week be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may they walk in the assurance that You are with them. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray, Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, and trust that the Lord is working even in the details of your work life. If you do not know Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to repent of your sins and place your faith in Him today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). May God bless you abundantly as you seek Him!
