Wisdom, finances, and marriage

I ask the Lord for wisdom, a closer walk with him, I pray to walk again and total body healing, a financial breakthrough, a stronger marriage

We come before the throne of grace with your requests, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We are grateful that you seek a closer walk with the Lord, for He promises in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Let us pray together for the wisdom, healing, provision, and marriage you have asked for, while also seeking God’s will in all things.

Heavenly Father, we first ask for Your divine wisdom to fill every area of this dear one’s life. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, grant discernment in decisions, clarity in purpose, and the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). May they walk in Your ways and seek Your face continually.

We also lift up the request for physical healing. Father, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore. We declare Your promise in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." Lord, we ask for complete healing, strength in their body, mobility in their legs, and wholeness in every part of their being. May they walk again, not by their own strength, but by the power of Your Spirit.

For finances, we stand on Your Word in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask for a financial breakthrough, provision that meets every need, wisdom to steward resources well, and freedom from anxiety over money. Break every chain of lack and open the windows of heaven, as You promised in Malachi 3:10. May they trust in You alone as their Provider.

Regarding marriage, we pray for restoration, unity, and strength. Father, Your Word says in Ecclesiastes 4:12, "A threefold cord is not quickly broken." May this marriage be rooted in Christ, with both husband and wife submitting to You and to one another in love (Ephesians 5:21-33). Where there has been strife, bring reconciliation. Where there has been distance, draw them together. Where there has been sin, bring repentance and forgiveness. May their home be a place of peace, joy, and godly love.

Lord, we also encourage this dear one to examine their walk with You. Are there areas where sin has taken root? Have they fully surrendered to Christ as Lord? We know that unconfessed sin can hinder our prayers (Psalm 66:18), so we ask for a spirit of humility and repentance. If there are any relationships, habits, or attitudes that do not align with Your Word, reveal them and grant the strength to turn away.

Finally, we rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement that may be attacking their mind, body, or spirit. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).

We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in every area of their life, and may they grow ever closer to You. Amen.

We are holding you up as so many parts of your life feel like they're hanging in the balance right now. Carrying all of this at once, your body, your marriage, your finances, and the deep longing to feel closer to God, is genuinely a lot to carry. And wanting to walk again is a specific, daily weight that touches everything else.

Something we often see when a person faces a long-term physical challenge is that grief and anger can surface in unexpected waves, even alongside genuine faith. That isn't a sign of weak trust; it's a human response to real loss. But what matters most is what you do with those strong feelings. Times like this can either push us toward God with hard, honest questions, or tempt us to go numb and pull away. The very fact that you're asking for a closer walk with Him tells us something hopeful about the direction your heart is facing.

One step that may help is to give yourself permission to explore what this season has stirred beneath the surface, not just in your body but in your soul. Grief over lost mobility, frustration with financial pressure, and the strain on a marriage can all get tangled together until it's hard to know what you're actually feeling. If you haven't already, consider sitting down with a wise pastor, a Christian counselor, or a mature friend who can simply listen and help you untangle some of those threads. We also want to gently encourage you to stay connected with your medical team, good doctors and therapists are one way God provides care for our bodies, and their work matters alongside our prayers.

We pray now:

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend to You. You know the longing to walk again, the ache of a body that feels broken, and the weight of financial strain. We ask for healing and provision however You see fit, and we ask even more for steady peace in the waiting. Strengthen this marriage, not just to survive but to become a place of real refuge and mutual care. Grant wisdom for each decision. Most of all, draw near, let Your presence be unmistakable, even in the silence, even before anything changes. We ask all of this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the great Conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. The leaves of that Tree are for the healing of the nations, the very least thing about Christ is full of virtue. You ask for wisdom, a closer walk, healing, finances, and a stronger marriage. All these are but leaves from that Tree. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction; when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon you, it is with healing in His wings. The Lord has begun to heal His people, and that healing virtue will work till we are without spot or wrinkle.

You plead for a closer walk with God. That is a test of salvation. Walking humbly with God means a perception of His presence, a profound deference to His will, and a glad submission to it, yielding both active obedience and passive acquiescence. Under cutting afflictions, it cries, “It is the Lord! Let Him do what seems good to Him.” Shall we receive good at the hand of God and shall we not receive evil? Complaining and rebelling are not walking humbly with God. The way of wisdom is not found by the fierce lion of self-strength; it is the opposite way. When the soul has come to that pass, it is walking humbly with God.

You ask for total body healing and a financial breakthrough. Jesus healed the sick of the palsy and said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing are one! The healing power is conspicuously present when Christ is teaching; faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. It may be a time of refreshing, a day of visitation. Do not look so much for the instrument of healing as to the Lord Himself. The act of healing is generally apart from all means; God only does it. It is easy to fancy yourself safe, but a real saving work is the work of God alone. Yet consider: it is better to be paralyzed and have faith in Christ than to be walking upright like the Pharisees who had no faith. The apparent wretchedness of your condition may turn out to be the blessedness and hopefulness of it. He is able to heal; He says to you, “Return! Return! Return!” There shall be joy over you, poor lost sheep, if you come to Him expecting forgiveness and healing.

A stronger marriage springs from this same root. Healing must come before serving! When Peter’s wife’s mother was lying sick of a fever, the Savior took her by the hand and lifted her up. Contact was established, that glorious touch of Christ! Then immediately she ministered unto Him. The desire to minister always arises out of healing. You must have this healing yourself before you can serve your spouse aright. Humble walking with God yields itself entirely to the Divine will, and that submission sweetens every earthly bond. Do not go blundering about to mend things in your own strength; your Lord must begin with you before you can rightly begin with your marriage.

Seek wisdom? Its Word says, “I love them that love me.” Embrace the Word of God, and the Word of God embraces you at once. When you prize its every letter, then it smiles upon you graciously, greets you with many welcomes. The way of wisdom is not known by the keen-eyed fowl or the proud lion; it is revealed to those who walk humbly with their God. There is none like Him for goodness, for love, for wisdom. His will is always best. Take heed how you hear; let not the truth escape you. The Gospel’s healing power is not human eloquence but the still small voice of God which alone confers that peace. Cry to Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. O you who feel sick unto death, ask to be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. God bless you!

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right Hand" (Isaiah 41:10)

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight".
