We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace and we stand with you in pleading the blood of Jesus Christ over your younger daughter and over your entire household. We thank God for your faithfulness to pray and for your desire to see your children walk in wisdom and protection.
We praise the Lord that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13. We continue to come boldly in that holy name together with you.
We hear your burden for your younger daughter and we agree with you in praying for wisdom and clarity for her. You have discerned rightly that a move at this time would burden her health, her busy schedule, her ability to care for her dog, and would bring financial hardship and stress. We pray that the Lord will grant her eyes to see this clearly and a heart to be content and steadfast where she has been blessed. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We ask that she will Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. We pray she will not be moved by pressure or persuasion but will seek the Lord's will above all.
We must also lovingly address what you have shared about your older daughter living with a young man outside of marriage. We know this is painful to speak of, but Scripture is clear that this is not God's design and we must call it what it is, fornication. God ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman to be held in honor, and sexual intimacy belongs only within that covenant. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4 and Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. A boyfriend and girlfriend relationship should be understood as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not as cohabitation. We do not condemn your daughter, we love her and we pray for her with you, that she will come to her senses and see the destructive nature of this life. We pray that God will grant her repentance and that she will be completely and miraculously moved away from this toxic living arrangement. We pray that this young man, if he is to have any place in her life, would be called to either pursue her honorably in a godly marriage that honors Christ or be removed from her life entirely, for God's glory and her good.
We agree with you in praying for the protection of your family unity, love, gratefulness and respect. How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1. We pray that no jealous or persistent influence will be allowed to sow division or havoc. We take seriously your concern about the influence of this young man and his mother. Scripture warns us, Do not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33 and He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm Proverbs 13:20. We pray that the Lord will block and remove their ungodly influence completely from both of your daughters and that He will guard your son from hatred, jealousy and spite. We pray He will set a hedge of protection around him.
We also join you in praying against gossiping, mocking and other habits that do not honor the Lord. We pray your daughters will not imitate such behavior but will be transformed by the renewing of their minds and will speak only what is helpful for building others up.
We hear your prayer for healing from negative influences, witchcraft and word curses, and we stand on the truth that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age Ephesians 6:12. Yet we do not fear, for No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. By his stripes we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and we claim that healing and covering over you and your children. The curses and words of others have no power over those who are in Christ, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we plead the blood of Jesus over this younger daughter and over this whole family. Cover her mind, body and spirit, guard her health and her home, and give her supernatural wisdom to see the path that leads to peace and not to hardship. Keep her content and steadfast at home as she has been, and shut the door to any move that is not of You. Lord, we ask You to intervene powerfully in the life of the older daughter, convict her heart, open her eyes, and draw her out of fornication and cohabitation into purity and obedience, whether that be through repentance and singleness or through a godly marriage according to Your will. Remove the ungodly influence of this young man and his mother from both daughters, block their access and their words, and let their schemes come to nothing. Protect this son from jealousy and hatred, and let no harm come near him. Restore unity, love, gratefulness and respect in this family stronger than ever, and let gossiping and mocking be replaced with kindness and truth. We thank You that nothing is impossible for You, for with God all things are possible Matthew 19:26. Guard this family, heal them and keep them in Your perfect peace as they cast all their anxiety on You. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to keep speaking blessing over your children and to set loving boundaries that honor the Lord. Continue to model gratefulness and respect in your home, and trust that as you are faithful, the Lord who is faithful will guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
