Wisdom, Protection and Gratefulness

Your heartfelt prayer for your younger daughter and for your family has been received with care, and we join you in bringing these needs before the Lord.

We pray first for wisdom for your daughter as she weighs this decision about moving. Scripture teaches that wisdom is the most important thing to seek, more valuable than riches or anything else we might desire, and that with all our getting we should get understanding. Knowledge gives facts, but wisdom is the right use of knowledge. It helps a person pause and consider what a choice will truly mean for her life, her health, her responsibilities, her finances, and her walk with God. The beginning of that wisdom is the fear of the Lord, a heart that honors Him and listens for His voice. Wisdom is pictured as calling out openly and inviting all who will listen to come and receive. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He will preserve and keep those who love and do not forsake wisdom. We ask God to pour out that spirit of wisdom upon your daughter, that she would see clearly the added stress and hardship this move could bring, and have strength and peace to remain where she has been steady and content if that is His best for her.

We also join you in praying for your family relationships. God has given His ways for the family so that when we follow them, relationships are built up and strengthened, and when we turn from them, families are torn apart. True wisdom from above does not lead to envy and strife, but to purity and peace. We ask the Lord to restore love, respect, gratitude and peace between you and your children, to heal what has been broken, and to remove division, isolation and disrespect. We pray that He would lift away spiritual attacks and clear away influences that sow strife in your home.

You asked that your children would not walk on the path of those who do evil. Scripture warns us not to enter that path, not even to go near it, but to turn away and go another way, because that path brings division and harm. We pray your children will have discernment to recognize flattering words and persistent pressures that would draw them away, and that the Lord will deliver your daughter from those voices and swiftly remove negative influences that prey upon her. We ask Him to place a hedge of protection around you and your children, to give His angels charge over her, and to clothe her with the full armor of God, so that no weapon formed against her will prosper.

We pray too for her daily life, for sweet and peaceful sleep at night, and for her studies this semester. We ask God to grant her wisdom and understanding as she learns, to keep her mind clear and her heart at rest in Him.

Father, we lift this mother and her daughters to You in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation. Grant clear sight, guard their home, restore their love for one another, and let Your peace rule in their hearts. Teach them to walk in Your ways, to love Your Word, and to trust Your protection day and night. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift up your younger daughter before the Lord, asking for wisdom and clear sight as she weighs this decision about moving, considering her health needs, her busy schedule, the care of her dog and the financial weight it would bring. We have prayed that the Lord would help her see plainly what would add stress and hardship rather than good, and give her strength to remain where she has been content and steady.

We have also continued to pray for the relationship between you and your children, that she will stay gracious and helpful and that God would restore love, respect, gratitude and peace between you and heal what has been broken. We have asked the Lord to remove all spiritual attacks, division, isolation and disrespect and to remove every negative influence that has been derailing your relationship with each other. We are praying that He will guide your children to not walk on the path of those who do evil, not to pass by it but to turn from it and go another way as written in Proverbs 4:14, because those influences bring strife and division.

We have prayed that the Lord will deliver your younger daughter from flattering words and persistent pressures that would draw her away, and that He will swiftly remove the negative influences that are preying upon her and causing havoc in your home. We continue to ask the Lord to place a hedge of protection around you and your children, to give His angels charge over her according to Psalm 91:11, and to clothe her with the full armor of God from Ephesians 6:11 so that no weapon formed against her will prosper as promised in Isaiah 54:17. We have prayed that Jesus will grant her sweet peaceful sleep at night and bless her studying this semester with His wisdom and knowledge according to James 1:5.
