Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this need so honestly. Living without hot water and facing uncertainty about heat as colder days approach is a real hardship, and it is right to bring these everyday needs to the Lord in prayer.
We are praying with you for a mighty solution. God cares about these practical matters of daily life. In the Scriptures we see that He even made a place in His law for the cleansing of a leper, a condition that had no human cure, to show that He is able to work beyond natural limits and to make a way for restoration when none seems possible. In the same way, He is able to provide for your hot water and heating, whether by moving the hearts of those responsible to reach agreement and complete the repairs, or by opening another suitable home if a move becomes necessary.
Jesus Himself showed us the importance of prayer for strength, guidance and life itself. If He sought the Father early and continually, how much more do we need to bring our needs to God. We are joining our faith with yours and asking the Father to provide for you, to give wisdom and willingness to those who must decide on the costs and the work, and to supply what you need for warmth and daily washing.
God does not work in the same pattern for everyone. There is great variety in how He answers, as varied as the people He loves. You do not need a particular experience like someone else. You can relate to Him in your own personal way and trust Him to work in the way that is best for you. Sometimes His provision comes through the repair being finished quickly, sometimes through a different door He opens that you did not expect.
Waiting is difficult, especially when a promise that it would be done has already passed. Scripture compares waiting on the Lord to a farmer waiting for the precious fruit of the earth with patience for the early and latter rains. God is patient and faithful to fulfill His promises, and He calls us to trust Him in the waiting. He sees your need for warmth and cleanliness, for human need matters to Him, and He has provided only one way for our greatest need, forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ, so we can come with confidence to Him for every lesser need as well.
We are asking God to act quickly, to bring agreement and skilled workers to finish what is needed, to protect you from the cold, and if you must move, to clearly provide an alternative home that is safe and within your means. May He give you peace as you wait, and may whatever good comes from this cause you to glorify your Father in heaven.
